"not good!"
Angdo and his team were all experienced special forces members, and they knew things were not going well as soon as they saw the situation.
"At this rate, the fire will soon reach us, and the experts' chances of survival will be even slimmer!"
After speaking, Angduo looked at Wenli with eager eyes.
“I have a way.” Wen Li lowered her eyes, found a tree branch, and quickly drew a Bagua (Eight Trigrams) pattern on the open grass.
Wen Li's drawing was a bit rough, but Ang Duo's eyes lit up when he looked at the Bagua diagram.
Then they saw Wenli place a handful of soil into the incense burner, and then insert three sticks of incense into the middle of the burner.
When you touch the fragrance with your hand, it emits a scarlet light, and three wisps of smoke dance silkily in the air like dancers.
"This, this is too amazing!" Ondo and the soldiers were stunned.
Wen Li didn't have time to speak. After finishing all this, she sat in the center of the Bagua diagram and quickly made hand seals: "Six Ding and Six Jia, protect me, expel evil and monsters, and wield wind and thunder!"
As soon as she finished speaking, the people behind Wen Li suddenly saw twelve golden lights flash around her. Six men and six women appeared, their faces obscured and transparent. The six men wore silver armor, some carrying bows and arrows, others with swords at their waists. The women wore crimson clothes and golden armor, holding swords in their hands, exuding an aura of compassion and inviolability.
Soon, a golden light emanated from Wen Li's body.
She opened her eyes, a golden light flashing within them, and Wen Li said calmly, "Go!"
The six Ding and six Jia broke free of the formation and rushed towards the fire. Before long, they transformed into twelve golden rays, enveloping the flames that were rapidly approaching them, and the fire instantly stopped.
Ondo was stunned by what he saw.
He had heard of some extraordinary people when he was studying in China, but he had never seen them in person.
Before going up the mountain, he had considered that Wen Li might possess some abilities beyond the realm of science, but...
This is way ahead of its time!
Angduo stared blankly for two seconds with his mouth slightly open. When he saw Wen Li stand up, he noticed that her face was a little pale, so he quickly reached out to support her.
"Miss Wen, is it resolved?"
Wen Li shook her head. She had already exhausted a lot of energy to invite the Six Ding and Six Jia out, and her head was spinning.
Wen Li spoke weakly, "It's only temporarily suppressing the fire and preventing it from spreading further due to the wind. It also gives those zoologists some time to escape. Completely stopping the wildfire won't be that easy."
Angduo looked at Wenli with some nervousness.
"Don't look at me, I'm just a little exhausted." Wen Li licked her dry lips, then took out a bottle of mineral water from her backpack and drank it all in one gulp: "I won't die."
After speaking, Wen Li stood up again and continued to draw mysterious and strange runes along the Bagua array pattern under her feet.
Angdo stared at it for a long time but couldn't recognize a single word.
The runes drawn by Wen Li were strange and enormous, almost taking up the entire open space.
The moment Wen Li finished drawing, the fire that had been suppressed suddenly roared and then swept towards them like a dragon.
“Angduo, have all the soldiers line up in double rows in the town's eye that I drew!” Wen Li’s eyes narrowed, and her tone was very serious.
Ondo reacted instantly and quickly spoke to the soldiers behind him.
Soon, the soldiers took their positions, and Wen Li sat in the center of the Bagua formation again, but she still held a sharp military knife in her right hand.
"The four elements merge into one, causing wind and clouds to rise and thunder to shake the heavens. Wind and rain are born together, and nothing is immune to their transformation!"
"fall!"
This time, Wen Li didn't make any hand seals. Instead, she ruthlessly cut half of her palm, and drops of blood fell onto the tender grass.
After the blood fell to the ground, it quickly turned into a blood streak, rapidly filling the runes until the entire magic circle turned red.
Wen Li's eyes were filled with a golden light, and she quickly pressed her hand towards the center of the Bagua formation.
Above their heads, a gigantic azure tortoise soared straight into the sky.
In an instant, the sky and earth changed color, countless black clouds gathered at the mountaintop, and after a few muffled claps of thunder, raindrops began to fall.
Before anyone could react, even larger raindrops began to fall on their heads.
The flames, so close at hand, seemed to let out a shrill scream, and plumes of white smoke rose from the forest as the fire grew smaller and smaller.
Ondo and the other soldiers' eyes were filled with excitement: "The fire is out!"
After saying that, Angdo subconsciously glanced at Wen Li, who had collapsed on the ground.
Seeing that Wen Li's palms were so deep that the bone was visible, his heart skipped a beat.
If Wen Li's hand injury is not treated properly, it could be fatal, not to mention that they are still some distance away from descending the mountain.
Wen Li's lips are now somewhat pale due to blood loss.
Angduo reacted quickly, taking out first-aid supplies from his bag and silently stopping Wenli's bleeding.
Are you alright?
After wrapping Wenli's hands like a rice dumpling, Angduo cautiously inquired about Wenli's condition.
Wen Li waved her uninjured hand and said weakly, "It's nothing serious."
She wouldn't risk her life for such a small amount of money.
Wen Li struggled to her feet. As soon as the rain started, a thin mist rose from the forest, and the air was filled with the smell of burnt charcoal. The temperature also dropped a little.
"Let's go back." Wen Li said, shivering.
As soon as she finished speaking, Wen Li's ears twitched. She suddenly heard different frequencies of shaking coming from below the cliff, as if thousands of things were rushing towards them.
Wen Li quickly ran to the edge of the cliff and looked down.
With just one glance, Wen Li's pupils contracted. Pointing to the peculiar landscape below, Wen Li couldn't help but ask, "Angduo, is this the zoology expert you're looking for?"
