Chapter 131 Filming Ends

Wen Li recalled the white peacock that clung to her and refused to let go.

Seeing Wen Li's speechless expression, Si Ran explained, "Mo Xue is quite clingy."

After saying that, Si Ran reached out and touched her. Mo Xue squinted her eyes, her purring grew louder, and her whole body felt soft and limp, thoroughly enjoying the human touch.

"Although Mo Xue is clingy, she is very wary of strangers."

As soon as Si Ran finished speaking, several crew members saw that Mo Xue looked like a big cat and couldn't help but go over and take a look.

Mo Xue, who had been comfortably snoring, immediately got up, opened her mouth and let out a low growl of alarm at the crew, scaring them into screaming and running away.

Wen Li thought about it in silence for a moment; this was the first time she had ever seen such a hypocritical tiger.

"Then why does it like me?" Wen Li thought for a moment, then tentatively placed her hand on the tiger's head. Sure enough, the originally fierce Mo Xue began to squint and snore again. Unlike its affection for Si Ran, this tiger seemed to fawn over her.

Si Ran laughed and said, "Maybe it's because you're more powerful. Mo Xue only dares to bully those weaker than it."

Animals have more sensitive intuition than humans. Mo Xue doesn't understand human thinking, but she inexplicably feels a strong sense of oppression from Wen Li.

I definitely can't win in a fight, so I might as well pretend to be docile.

Mo Xue quickly became familiar with Wen Li.

Wen Li discovered that wild animals are also very intelligent; it seems to understand Si Ran's words and does whatever she asks.

This led to the smooth start of the entire filming process.

Even when crossing a cliff ten meters away, Wen Li and Si Ran only had simple safety measures on them in order to ensure smooth filming. If anything went wrong, they could very likely fall off the cliff.

However, the two completed the filming efficiently and succeeded in one take.

By the time it ended, it was almost dark. The vast sky had turned dark blue, and the stars were shining brightly, with tens of thousands of stars twinkling above.

Stars do not emit light, but from a human perspective, they appear as sparkling gems, shining brightly.

Lights came on near the tent, and Wen Li saw Si Ran feed the tiger several chickens, and even saw Si Ran put the rest of the dry food on the tiger's back.

Is this a case of eating too much and then packing it up to take home?

Wen Li walked over, both amused and exasperated: "Is this Mo Xue's payment for filming?"

Si Ran was taken aback, but felt that Wen Li's words were very apt, so she nodded: "Mo Xue came all the way here to help us with filming, so of course we should give him a reward. Besides, Mo Xue is a father now, so let him take some meat back for his baby."

Wen Li was delighted.

She really liked Si Ran.

Si Ran is usually not very talkative, but there are only two Chinese actors in the entire crew. Wen Li has the most contact with Si Ran, so she feels inexplicably close to him.

Hearing Si Ran say that, Wen Li couldn't help but laugh.

The chickens on Mo Xue's back were strung together with rope, a total of ten.

Hearing their conversation, Mo Xue shook her head and nuzzled Wen Li and Si Ran's faces as if she were being affectionate.

Wen Li patted the tiger's head, knowing that Mo Xue was leaving, and then patted Mo Xue's head to say goodbye.

Night fell completely, the sky turned from dark blue to pitch black, and Mo Xue slowly disappeared into the rainforest.

Mo Xue was just the beginning. Over the next two weeks, Wen Li saw Si Ran bring back different animals every day, and then silently pack dry food for these animals at night, watching the wild animals leave.

Wen Li knew that anything was possible on the path to enlightenment.

Si Ran's ability to rally animals wasn't too surprising to her, but others didn't think so.

The two Chinese actors in the film crew, one who knows Chinese magic and the other who can make giant beasts submit like Chi You, made a group of blond-haired, blue-eyed foreigners envious.

However, Cynthia had the crew sign confidentiality agreements beforehand, so no one dared to say anything before the movie was released.

Wen Li's scenes were very intensive, and director Cynthia was very satisfied with Wen Li's acting skills. She even added more scenes for Wen Li while filming, so that the scenes that should have been finished in half a month took Wen Li twenty-five days to film.

By the time Wen Li finished filming, it was already late August.

She's going back to university.

During this time, Wen Li also worried for a long time about which school and major to study.

Aside from fortune telling and ghost hunting, the only thing she's ever been interested in is acting.

But I definitely can't go to film school; I have to take the entrance exam for arts programs.

She considers her acting skills to be decent, but art exams don't just look at acting skills, so Wen Li naturally can't take the art exam route in the short term.

For a moment, Wen Li really couldn't think of any good majors.

Finally, the Wen family spent most of the day researching for Wen Li and chose an unpopular major at University A—archaeology.

Wen Li didn't know much about archaeology, but those in the field deal with a lot of ancient artifacts, so she applied without hesitation.

However, the signal was poor in the deep mountains, and she had neither contacted her family nor had time to check Weibo during this period.

It wasn't until after she came out that Wen Li learned that there were only three people in the small class for archaeology at University A.

The kind of school with more teachers than students.

Wenli:......

She sighed softly, "That's fine, I won't have to worry about finding a job anymore."

However, skipping class will no longer be an option in the future.

Even the oldest professors can still tell whether there are three people in the classroom.

Wen Li emerged from the forest and saw the muddy road she had come from. She asked Xiao Xi, "When will the car that Brother Zhou arranged arrive?"

Freshmen are required to start school early for military training. After she flies back to China, she will have at most one more week of rest before she goes to school to register.

Xiaoxi kept holding her phone, seemingly talking to someone.

Hearing Wen Li's words, he looked anxious: "I'm contacting the driver, but he said the tire blew out because it ran over a rock, and it will take at least four or five hours for a tow truck to come over."

It was already dark by the time the car arrived.

Wen Li's mood was not affected at all upon hearing this: "We can find a hotel to stay in."

After a while, Xiao Xi said with a bitter face, "This is the best time for rainforest exploration. I just called the hotel, and they said they are fully booked."

As they were talking, Xiao Xi suddenly saw a black minivan approaching on the muddy road.

Xiao Xi squinted and saw the license plate of the black van, which suddenly seemed somewhat familiar.

Then, the driver parked the car on the side of the road, got out, and opened the back door.

Huo Yinghuai, dressed in a well-tailored black suit, then fixed his gaze on Wen Li and slightly curled his lips.
