Chapter 153 Fainting

Li Kengqiang never doubted Wen Li.

Wen Li can set up formations to extend everyone's lifespan by 24 hours, and she can also summon heavenly lightning to split the giant rock that had been blocking them for four or five days.

Now that she says she can save both sides, Li Kengqiang has no doubt whatsoever: "What do you plan to do?"

"You can move the clods of dirt over the young people's side, I'll hold the clods over the children's side."

Wen Li was thin and weak. If she squeezed in, she could still manage to squeeze into the rubble on the child's side. When the clods of earth on the other side were moved away, the child would naturally be crushed to death by the remaining clods of earth that hadn't been moved in time.

"I'm strong, you can't kill me." Wen Li simply said this.

Everyone present was stunned.

“No way.” A middle-aged man, the same age as Li Kengqiang and wearing training clothes, said, “This pile of dirt weighs at least a thousand pounds. If it falls down, it could crush your brains out.”

Li Kengqiang: "Old Wu, shut up!"

Seeing that Li Kengqiang looked unwell, but showed no intention of stopping Wen Li, Old Wu stepped forward and asked seriously, "How confident are you?"

Wen Li held up a number: "Ninety percent."

There are risks in doing anything. Sometimes you can fall and die even on flat ground. Luck is ever-changing. Wen Li never speaks too confidently about things that haven't happened yet.

Knowing that Wen Li was a member of the Celestial Masters Association, Li Kengqiang nodded and said, "Then go ahead."

Old Wu was shocked: "Li Kengqiang, are you exhausted?!"

Li Kengqiang gave Lao Wu a look, and Lao Wu was taken aback.

He and Li Kengqiang were comrades-in-arms for many years, and they could almost understand each other's thoughts. This time, Li Kengqiang didn't say anything.

Old Wu immediately shut his mouth.

In this critical moment, Old Wu still chose to trust Li Kengqiang and Wen Li, saying, "Quickly, move these clods of earth away!"

Seeing movement over there, Wen Li immediately used her supple body to slip into the ruins.

The ruins were quite deep, surrounded by large earthen walls and wooden planks. When Wen Li went down, she suddenly discovered that people were buried between the small stones and wooden planks, but without exception, they were all lifeless.

Li Kengqiang looked down and asked, "Wen Li, are you alright now?"

Dust and stones fell from above. Wen Li squinted at the entrance to the ruins and shouted, "I'm fine."

After saying that, Wen Li looked down at the crying child and comforted him, "Don't be afraid, I'll save you."

After speaking, Wen Li carefully examined the child's condition and discovered that a wooden stick had pierced the child's lower back. She didn't know how deep it was, but the blood mixed with dust was a shocking sight.

"General Li, the child is injured!"

Upon hearing this, Li Kengqiang's heart sank: "I'll get the doctor over."

Wen Li agreed, gently pressed a few acupoints near the little boy's wound, and then carefully held the child in her arms.

"Sister, I'm scared." The little boy, covered in dirt, suddenly spoke, his eyes, like black gemstones, filled with tears, his voice trembling: "I want my mother, I don't want to die."

"You won't die."

Wen Li heard that the soil above seemed to have started to be moved, and dust kept falling from above.

Wen Li rubbed the boy's head: "Sister is here to save you."

The boy looked at Wen Li with his big, watery eyes.

The young woman in front of him looked even younger than his mother, but Wen Li's words made him feel inexplicably at ease.

The little boy pressed his face against Wen Li's chest, his chubby little hands tightly gripping the front of her clothes.

As they were talking, Wen Li heard Li Kengqiang's voice from above: "Wen Li, the heaviest clod of earth will be moved in about ten seconds."

"Okay!" Wen Li stuffed a good luck charm into the pocket of the little boy's blue shirt, her voice clear and melodious like the clinking of jade: "Close your eyes, and you will see your mother when you wake up."

Thump!

Above the ruins, dozens of people struggled to move the heaviest clods of earth.

The moment the clods of earth were moved, all the stones on the other side of the beam collapsed.

Li Kengqiang quickly shouted into the ruins, "Wen Li, can you hear me?"

"Respond if you hear me!"

One second, two seconds, three seconds passed, and there was still no sound from the ruins.

Old Wu jumped up and down in a panic: "It's all over, it's all over! Hurry up and move these stones away!"

Despite saying this, the rescuers had already given up all hope.

Such a heavy rock would seriously injure someone even if they didn't die.

Li Kengqiang's lips had lost all color; he wanted to speak, but only his lips trembled slightly.

"Old Li, don't just stand there."

Li Kengqiang then realized what had happened and hurriedly ordered people to clear the clods of earth from the ruins. He deeply regretted his impulsive decision to send Wen Li away.

Just as Li Kengqiang was feeling a deep sense of sorrow, he suddenly heard what sounded like coming from the ruins.

Li Kengqiang reacted quickly, immediately lying down on the ruins and listening intently to the sounds below.

"Wen Li, can you hear me?"

The rescue workers who were clearing away the clods of earth immediately stopped in their tracks.

A few seconds later, a slightly weak voice came from the ruins: "General Li, my child and I are both alright."

After Wen Li finished speaking, she shouted loudly, "I saw my third brother. He was also buried nearby. You must hurry!"

Is Wen Yu also nearby?

Li Kengqiang reacted very quickly and hurriedly called a crane to lift away the largest stone.

Ten minutes later, all the clods of earth were cleared away. Wen Li shook off the dirt and sand on her back and handed the still conscious child in her arms to the doctor who was standing guard nearby.

"I have already stopped the bleeding for the child."

The doctor took the child and saw that the wound on the little boy's lower back was so large that it should have been bleeding profusely, but as Wen Li had said, there seemed to be no further bleeding.

And then there's Wen Li. Such a huge clod of earth fell on her, and this girl carried it all by herself without getting hurt at all.

The doctor, holding the child, said uncertainly, "You should also come to the hospital for a check-up."

"I'm fine." Wen Li interrupted the doctor directly: "I need to save my third brother. You should take the child to the hospital first."

After Wen Li finished speaking, she nimbly climbed out of the ruins and then told the approximate location of the other survivors under the ruins.

After hearing Wen Li's description, Li Kengqiang and Lao Wu quickly sent more people, and Wen Li joined in. In less than forty minutes, they rescued all thirty-odd people nearby.

Wen Li looked at the people being dragged out; apart from her third brother, the number of survivors was much smaller.

Fortunately, Wen Yu was not seriously injured. The doctor's initial examination showed that she only had a fractured sternum and no other fatal injuries. Wen Li also saw that Wen Yu's vitality was getting stronger and stronger, and then she breathed a sigh of relief.

The pressure in her heart suddenly eased, and just as Wen Li was about to continue searching for other people, she suddenly stumbled, her whole body began to ache, and her mind went completely blank.

Before closing her eyes, Wen Li seemed to see a familiar figure running towards her.
