Chapter 54 Dismemberment

Wen Li didn't take the wealthy businessman she didn't know seriously at all.

Evil people will be punished by Heaven, and that Heaven is her elder brother.

Wen Li heard the wealthy man apologizing repeatedly, but after listening for a couple of sentences, she lost interest and quickened her pace to the center of the venue.

Huo Yinghuai naturally saw this scene as well, but he was too far away to hear it clearly.

Are you alright?

Wen Li shook her head: "It's alright, my brother can handle it."

As she spoke, Wen Li glanced at Huo Yinghuai.

Huo Yinghuai usually wears suits, but today he wore a dark-colored suit with a dark pattern. He stood tall and his strong features were full of aloofness. Only when he saw Wen Li did his face show a hint of gentleness.

Wen Li was stunned by Huo Yinghuai's face for two seconds before realizing that she hadn't given him the gift yet.

Huo Yinghuai was slightly surprised to see a valuable cufflink after opening the gift box.

He recognized the brand and knew that Wenli must have spent a lot of money.

The girl usually wanted to save money to buy a shop, so he was flattered that she was willing to spend so much money on a gift for him.

"You're the first person to give me a birthday present," Huo Yinghuai said, his voice filled with joy.

Wen Li was slightly surprised.

The little girl looked around with her big, deer-like eyes, lowered her voice, and asked in a puzzled tone, "Are people in high society even stingier than me? They don't give you any gifts for your birthday?"

Huo Yinghuai found it somewhat amusing and explained in a low voice, "They're all friends from the dinner table, and I don't like any of the things they brought."

Huo Yinghuai was not lying.

Even the annual birthday parties are for maintaining relationships with business partners; even on birthdays, the conversation revolves around work.

Many of the gifts sent by these people were valuable, but the one Wenli sent him was one that she had carefully selected herself.

After hearing this, Wen Li felt sorry for Huo Yinghuai.

Judging from his appearance, Huo Yinghuai has no family ties. His parents passed away ten years ago, and those relatives are probably not good people either.

“Then I’ll give you a gift every year on your birthday.” Wen Li paused, glanced at Huo Yinghuai’s marital palace, and said, “But you don’t need to be in a hurry. You will have a wife who loves you, and you will live a happy and harmonious life together forever!”

Upon hearing this, Huo Yinghuai glanced at Wen Li.

He had never planned to get married in his life, but Wen Li would look at him and say that if she said she would get married in the future, she definitely would.

Before he could speak, Wen Li started divining with her hands, muttering to herself, "Let me tell you when you and your future wife will get married... Huh?"

Wen Li paused, then secretly glanced at Huo Yinghuai.

Huo Yinghuai looked puzzled, and the two exchanged glances.

Wen Li chuckled and said, "It's nothing, it's just that your divination is a bit strange. It can only tell you when you will get married, but it can't tell you where your future wife is right now."

But Huo Yinghuai still felt that Wen Li's little expression was not simple, and raised his eyebrows slightly: "Then can you help me calculate when I will get married?"

Wen Li shook her head and said vaguely, "We can definitely get married, but you'll be an old man by then."

Huo Yinghuai: "..."

Wen Li comforted her, "You'll get married sooner or later, don't rush it."

Huo Yinghuai: ...

Wen Li was whispering to Huo Yinghuai, and the key point was that Huo Yinghuai was nodding or responding intermittently. People in the circle all knew that although Huo Yinghuai was gentle to people, he was polite but distant.

"Ying Huai, who is this?"

As the two were talking, a woman in a cheongsam and high heels came out. Although she was speaking with a smile, her gaze kept falling on Wen Li.

Wen Li frowned, a faint golden light flashing in her eyes.

The woman looked to be in her thirties, with brightly colored lipstick, captivating eyes, and a seductive, alluring manner of speaking.

It's no good!

Wen Li blinked and took the lead in introducing herself: "My name is Wen Li, and who are you, Auntie?"

"Aunt?"

Liu Ruxin was stunned, her face visibly pale: "Can't you speak properly!"

Huo Yinghuai's eyes were slightly deep and calm, his hawk-like gaze fixed on Liu Ruxin.

Liu Ruxin was startled, and the words stuck in her throat.

Wen Li noticed the black marks between Liu Ruxin's eyebrows and kindly reminded her, "When you're out and about, you must be careful with your words and actions."

"Are you cursing me?" Liu Ruxin shouted.

Everyone in the hall looked over, and Huo Yinghuai said, "Get out."

A single word made Liu Ruxin look over in disbelief, initially thinking she had misheard: "You're telling me to get lost? Huo Yinghuai, I'm your aunt! How dare you talk to me like that!"

Wen Li was shocked.

Liu Ruxin looked to be only in her early thirties; it was surprising that someone so young was Huo Yinghuai's aunt.

only……

Wen Li openly looked the two up and down and found that they did not seem to have any kinship.

Wen Li found it strange and quickly dialed the divination sticks. Suddenly, her expression turned serious. Sure enough, she saw that Liu Ruxin was carrying an easily overlooked red aura of malevolence.

"You're lying!" Wen Li said. "Who are you to Huo Yinghuai as his aunt? His aunt was murdered ten years ago, and you—"

"He's the murderer!"

Liu Ruxin turned pale instantly, staring at Wen Li in disbelief, seemingly unable to understand how Wen Li knew such a secret.

There's no way anyone should know about this.

However, Wen Li hadn't finished speaking when she continued, "Of course, you weren't the only murderer. Her husband, Huo Yinghuai's uncle, was also involved in the murder of Huo Yinghuai's aunt!"
