After dinner, Luo Shuangxin planned to have the family driver take Wen Li home first.
Before leaving, Luo Shuangxin said, "I told my dad about what happened at school. He said if anyone bullies me, I should find a few more people to beat them up, and he also said to wait for him to come back."
Luo Shuangxin was bullied at school for so long, not only because the teachers were not doing their job, but also because he didn't know how to tell his family.
He was afraid his father would think he was hopeless and couldn't be helped.
Who knew that after he finished talking to his dad on the phone yesterday, his dad immediately booked a plane ticket home for early morning.
Luo Shuangxin was a little embarrassed: "My family is a blended family, and I have a younger brother who is good at studying. I always thought my dad didn't like me, so I never told him about school."
"Your father loves you very much." Wen Li had calculated for Luo Shuangxin that his future would be a happy one, though there would be some ups and downs along the way.
Wen Li reminded her, "You have a stepmother at home, right? Be careful of her, don't let her take advantage of you."
Luo Shuangxin is the son of the owner of a leading catering company in City A. Even if he's slow-witted, he's figured out Wen Li's identity these past few days.
Luo Shuangxin thought about his stepmother. On the surface, she was very obedient to him, but every time she spoke, he felt something was off, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what was wrong.
"I will pay more attention."
Luo Shuang felt a warm feeling in her heart.
He used to attend a prestigious private school, but his classmates thought he was slow-witted and stupid, and sometimes they would target him openly or secretly.
It's fair to say that he has never had a single friend he could talk to since he was a child.
He didn't know if Wen Li would be willing to be friends with him, but Wen Li's concern made him happy.
Wen Li was the first person, besides his family, to care about him.
Luo Shuangxin cherished it dearly.
The two left the hotel a little early, and the Luo family's driver was stuck in traffic.
“It’s rush hour right now, why don’t we go back to the hotel and wait for a bit?” Luo Shuangxin suggested.
"good."
Just as Wen Li was about to turn around, she suddenly saw a group of menacing-looking men walking towards them from a distance.
Soon, the group stopped three meters away from Wen Li.
The man in the lead looked very young, with a buzz cut, each hair standing on end, and a fierce expression; he didn't look like a bad person.
He first looked Wen Li and Luo Shuangxin up and down, then asked bluntly, "You are Wen Li and Luo Shuangxin?"
Luo Shuangxin's heart skipped a beat when she saw the man.
He recognized the man in front of him at a glance as Wu Cheng, Wu Que's cousin.
Wu Cheng is 1.9 meters tall, with a strong build and thick, round arms. Wen Li and Luo Shuangxin look like little chicks standing in front of him.
Even so, Luo Shuangxin still stood in front of Wen Li, his voice trembling as he said, "If you have the guts, come at me!"
Looking at the two men whose thighs were not even as thick as his arms, Wu Cheng laughed wildly: "Don't worry, you two will line up and take turns getting beaten up."
Throughout, Wen Li's expression remained indifferent, and even after hearing Wu Cheng's words, her expression did not change.
Suddenly, Wen Li said, "I advise you to do more good deeds recently, otherwise you may end up in jail."
Wu Cheng was taken aback, then suddenly burst out laughing.
"Are you threatening me?" Wu Cheng stepped forward, looking down at Wen Li: "I hit you, at most I'll just be detained in the police station for a few days, I won't be sentenced, but after I get out, I'll keep making trouble for you."
They were shameless and the police couldn't do anything about them.
Luo Shuangxin knew this, and his face turned deathly pale instantly.
The thought of being harassed by these people in the future made me feel like the sky was falling.
He mustered his courage and asked, "Do you know who my father is?"
Wu Cheng, a street thug, had no way of getting close to the Luo family. Upon hearing Luo Shuangxin's words, Wu Cheng paused for a moment, then burst into laughter.
"I don't care who your father is, even if your ancestors came today, it wouldn't make a difference!"
Wu Cheng is a sentimental person. Wu was indeed the best student in their family, but he ended up getting punished because of these two people.
Thinking of his cousin's tearful complaint, Wu Cheng's eyes darkened instantly: "If you dare to bully my brother, I won't let you get away with it."
“Of course.” Wu Cheng paused, his eyes looking down at him. “If you kneel down and beg us today, I can forgive and forget what happened before.”
"You've gone too far!"
Luo Shuangxin was usually a kind-hearted man with a mild temper, but he was furious when he heard Wu Cheng's words.
There were so many of them on the other side, he definitely couldn't win a fight. It wouldn't matter if he, a man, was beaten to his knees, he would just lose face. But Wen Li was a young girl, and he had to protect her.
"Wen Li, I'll count to three in a bit. We're very close to the hotel. When I count to one, you run into the hotel and call the manager over..."
"What are you two babbling about!"
After listening for a while and not hearing what Luo Shuangxin was saying, Wu Cheng's expression immediately turned sour. He asked loudly, "Have you two thought it through? Are you going to let us beat you up or kneel down and apologize?"
Ignoring them, Luo Shuangxin whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear, "Three, two, one—Wen Li, run!"
After saying that, Luo Shuangxin ran directly towards Wucheng.
Wu Cheng's gaze instantly sharpened, his eyes widening in fury: "You son of a bitch, you dare to play me for a fool! Don't let them get away with this! Beat them both to death!"
However, Wu Cheng's words suddenly stopped.
A blur flashed past Luo Shuangxin and arrived in front of him in less than a second. Before he could even see the person's face, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his nose.
Before I could react, two warm streams flowed down from both nostrils.
Tick-tock—
Tick-tock—
Blood from his nose slid down his lips onto the dusty ground.
With a thud, Wu Cheng was kicked two meters away, rolling around on the side of the road.
The thugs who were about to make a move stopped in their tracks, staring at their boss with bewildered expressions.
He's such a big guy, yet he was kicked away by a little girl.
gurgle—
The thugs stared at the leg that Wen Li had just kicked their boss with, and inexplicably felt a pain in their noses.
"What are you all standing there for? Get up there! With so many of you, are you afraid we can't beat a frail little girl?!"
Having lost face in public, Wu Cheng had completely lost his temper.
They're thugs, they'd fight with knives for a little money, they always have a certain kind of spirit about them.
Wu Cheng quickly got up from the ground, wiped the blood from his nose, and took a gentle breath, only to feel pain spreading throughout his nasal cavity.
"Come at me all at once?" Wen Li stretched her joints and waved to the thugs opposite her: "I'll give you a chance, come on over."
Before, she would just beat up ghosts without holding back, but now that it was the first time she had ever hit someone, Wen Li's tone was still a little excited.
