Chapter 25 Blue-Eyed Boy

It wasn't far from Wen Longting's courtyard to Madam Wen's courtyard; the group arrived at Madam Wen's courtyard in no time.

Stepping inside, one sees a bronze stove on the floor. A maid takes out a pair of fire tongs from the corner of the room and adds some fine silver charcoal to the stove. Warm air emanates from the stove, instantly making the room much warmer.

Wen Yan stayed by Madam Wen's bedside, while Wen Chao sat behind the screen, playing with the baby.

He was stunned for a moment when he saw Ji Jiuying's face, and quickly got up to greet her, "Benefactor, my wife... why hasn't she woken up yet?"

Suddenly, a sound like a wheelchair turning came from outside.

Ji Jiuying turned her head and saw a man in a wheelchair appear at the door. He was dressed in snow-white clothes, looking as ethereal as a banished immortal. His icy blue eyes were filled with deep melancholy.

"A gentleman as fine as jade, unparalleled in the world," that perfectly describes Wen Chuyu.

"Big brother."

"Big brother."

"Yu'er".

Wen Longxiu helped push the wheelchair into the house. "Miss Feng, this is my elder brother, Wen Chuyu."

Wen Chuyu met Ji Jiuying's clear eyes and was slightly taken aback. Then, a hint of a smile appeared in her icy blue eyes as she nodded to Ji Jiuying.

Ji Jiuying smiled at him as a greeting, and then sat down by Madam Wen's bedside.

Take out a silver needle and insert it into Madam Wen's philtrum, with the needle tip pointing upwards at an angle, and twist it to strongly stimulate her, thus waking Madam Wen up.

When Madam Wen opened her eyes and saw Ji Jiuying, she tried to struggle to get up, but she couldn't feel anything in her body.

"Madam, please don't move around. The anesthesia from the medicine hasn't worn off yet, so you can't feel the pain. Once the anesthesia wears off, the wound will hurt."

When Wen Yan saw that Madam Wen had woken up, he quickly went to the bedside, with Wen Longting and Wen Longxiu following behind.

"Feiyan, are you alright?" Wen Yan asked anxiously.

"It's alright now. Where's the baby? How is the baby?" Madam Wen asked weakly.

Wen Chao handed the child to Wen Yan and held him in front of Madam Wen, saying, "Look, the child is fine; he's a precious baby."

Madam Wen looked at her youngest son and cried tears of joy. She then noticed that a stranger was wiping away her tears.

"Who is this?" Madam Wen was unconscious when Ji Jiuying helped deliver the baby, so she didn't recognize Ji Jiuying. Madam Wen looked at Ji Jiuying and asked.

“Mother, this is Miss Feng Wan. She saved you and my brother,” Wen Longting answered quickly.

“Yes, Feiyan really owes a lot to Miss Feng this time.” Wen Yan looked at Ji Jiuying gratefully.

"Thank you, Miss Feng, for saving my life and my child's life."

"No need for thanks, madam. Your premature birth and breech presentation made labor difficult, so I had no choice but to perform a cesarean section. Otherwise, both you and the baby would have been lost, but you will have a scar on your abdomen."

Everyone who was caught off guard was stunned when they heard what Ji Jiuying said. "What?"

"Cesarean section?"

“Miss Feng, cesarean section is unheard of since ancient times. My wife’s belly…” Wen Yan’s heart ached at the thought of his wife suffering like this.

“Master Wen, there’s no need to worry. I’ve already stitched up the wound in Madam’s abdomen to prevent postoperative infection. She’ll be fine,” Ji Jiuying explained patiently.

Everyone was shocked again, the bloody scene flashing through their minds, making their scalps tingle, but more than anything, they felt heartache.

"It's alright. Having scars is better than being dead. Thank you, girl." Madam Wen didn't care about any of this. Having just gone through a brush with death, none of this mattered to her. What mattered was that she was still alive.

"It's good that you think that way."

"Call your most trusted maid over. I need to tell her how to treat your wound. Also, take a few pills of this medicine once the anesthesia wears off." Ji Jiuying finished explaining the series of care methods and precautions before leaving the room.

"Brother Yan, we haven't properly thanked this young lady yet, she saved my son and me," Madam Wen's words reminded Wen Yan.

Wen Yan called out to Ji Jiuying as he went out, "My benefactor, I have no way to repay your kindness today. Please accept these spirit stones for now. I will visit you another day to apologize. May I ask where you live?"

"Saving lives is a doctor's responsibility, Master. You don't need to be so polite. It's not convenient to tell you where my daughter lives at the moment. I hope you understand."

"Don't worry, I will come to check on your wife's health again in seven days."

Ji Jiuying explained.

"Um, it's alright, it's alright, but please accept these spirit stones first." Ji Jiuying was interrupted before she could even refuse.

At this moment, the head of the Wen family pushed the young man over and said, "Since the little girl doesn't want to accept you, don't force her. Is spirit stones all you have?"

Wen Yan was glared at by his father, and then he realized, "Oh right, right, right~ I'm so confused."

Immediately, Ji Jiuying was led by Wen Yan and the others to a Bagua stone door. Wen Yan chanted a spell, and the Bagua stone door began to rotate, revealing a door that was neither too big nor too small, only big enough for one person to pass through.

As they entered a secret chamber, the Wen family head pricked his finger and placed it on the stone door. With a loud thud, the door opened, revealing all sorts of magical artifacts, secret techniques, elixirs, and spiritual herbs...

This is clearly a treasure trove for the Wen family.

"This is?"

"My benefactor, this is the greatest treasure trove of my Wen family. Take whatever you like," said the old patriarch of the Wen family.

Just because she saved the lady's life, and the Wen family trusts her so much, aren't they afraid she'll take everything from them?

That's what she thought, but Ji Jiuying wasn't the kind of person who was insatiable.

“Yes, Sister Feng, please don’t refuse anymore, otherwise my parents won’t be able to sleep well at night.” Wen Longting pulled Ji Jiuying to select treasures.

Since everyone was already there, Ji Jiuying couldn't refuse any longer and let Wen Longting pull her along.

There were even high-grade spirit stones of various colors, each containing abundant spirit stones, perfect for cultivation.

"Huh~ Is this a Blood Spirit Lotus?" Inside the transparent ice box, a palm-sized red lotus was blooming, alluring, seductive, noble, and bloodthirsty.

Thinking of something, he looked at the blue-eyed boy by the door.

Wen Chuyu had been watching her every move with a probing gaze, and he hadn't expected her to suddenly turn around and look at him.

The two looked at each other, paused slightly, and Ji Jiuying smiled awkwardly and turned her head away.

Seeing her stunned expression, a smile gradually spread across his handsome lips.

Wen Chao was slightly taken aback, then asked with some excitement, "Miss Feng? You know the Blood Spirit Lotus?"

Upon hearing this, everyone looked at her with expectant eyes.

"Yes, I know him."

Wen Chuyu's icy blue eyes suddenly narrowed, and a glimmer of hope appeared in them.

Once ranked third on the genius list, he became a useless person with all his spiritual veins shattered. He sought help from countless alchemists but to no avail. He was depressed for more than a year until Madam Wen became pregnant again.

But the thought that Ji Jiuying had no spiritual energy extinguished the hopes that had just been rekindled. Without spiritual energy, she couldn't gather spiritual fire, so how could she be an alchemist?
