Yuhu Mountain.
Yu Mowan donned her gear, packed her supplies, and plunged into the lake to search for the medicine she needed.
Once in the water, she swam nimbly, her peach-blossom eyes scanning the surroundings. After some time, her eyes suddenly lit up, and she swam towards the deeper parts of the water.
Just as she was about to pick the medicinal herbs she longed for, she suddenly heard the sound of someone falling into the water from above. Her eyes narrowed, and she quickly pulled out a gun from her bag.
She turned around warily, gun in hand, ready to deliver a fatal blow to the person who had fallen into the water at any moment. But when she saw that the person was unconscious, wearing military camouflage, and the blood on his body was spreading and slowly staining the clear water red, she was clearly stunned for two seconds.
soldier?
Yu Mowan thought suspiciously.
The sound of ripples rose in the water again. Her face turned cold and stern. She quickly swam over, pulled the man behind her, and preemptively attacked the person who had entered the water.
One shot, one kill. When her gun was empty, she took out several darts from her small bag and threw them.
It went straight into their hearts, killing them instantly.
Blood stained the lake red.
After dealing with everyone who jumped into the water, Yu Mowan turned to look at the man being protected behind her and muttered under her breath, "Troublesome."
Despite saying it was troublesome, she still chose to swim him up.
Just as she brought him out of the water and placed him on flat ground, she was about to examine his body when he grabbed her wrist as he opened his eyes.
"Who are you?"
Si Tingyu turned his head and spat out some water, looking very weak, but he was clearly stunned for a few seconds when he looked at Yu Mowan's face.
This girl looks like an elder.
However, considering that people can look alike, and that he had never heard of any younger relatives in his elders' families who looked very much like her, he suppressed the thought.
Yu Mowan said calmly, "The person who saved you."
Upon hearing this, Si Tingyu suddenly understood.
He was betrayed and plotted against by an insider, and accidentally fell into the water with serious injuries. He thought he would die in the water, but in his daze, he saw a figure swimming towards him. At that moment, he thought he was hallucinating and saw a mermaid. He didn't expect that she was the one who saved him.
So young, yet he managed to save her from that group of people.
Their strength should not be underestimated.
"Thanks."
His handsome expression softened slightly, and he asked Yu Mowan's name: "What's your name?"
Yu Mowan didn't answer, but said, "If you don't want to die, stop talking nonsense and let go of my hand so I can save you."
Si Tingyu paused for a moment, then slowly released her hand.
Perhaps out of trust in her, or perhaps because his body had reached its limit, he fell into a coma again.
Yu Mowan listened to his chest cavity and confirmed that there was still water inside. She avoided the wounds on his body and pressed on his chest to force out the water. She then took out a small bottle from the waterproof bag, opened the cap, poured out two pills, crushed them, and fed them to him. She then used water to help him swallow the pills.
She then unbuttoned his camouflage uniform and applied medicine to his wounds.
"You should be glad you were wearing military camouflage, otherwise you'd be a corpse by now."
After applying the medicine and bandaging Si Tingyu's wounds, Yu Mowan dressed him in camouflage clothing, patted his chest gently, and whispered something.
If it weren't for his military camouflage uniform, she would have shot him long ago instead of wasting the medicine she had personally developed to save him.
"Brother Yu, Brother Yu..."
Voices calling for someone came from the forest. Yu Mowan put on the diving suit next to her and jumped directly into Jade Lake.
She still needs to find the medicinal herbs she wants.
The blood in the lake had dispersed, revealing the clear water.
Having learned from her first dive, she easily found what she was looking for this time and swam toward another point on Jade Lake.
Once ashore, my phone rang, even though it was in a waterproof bag.
She took it out and saw that it was a call from her mother. She pursed her lips and answered the phone.
“Yu Mowan, I have found my daughter. You get back here right now and take your filthy things away.”
On the other end of the phone came Liu Qianmei's disgusted voice.
Yu Mowan's expression remained unchanged, and her tone was indifferent: "I understand."
After saying that, she hung up the phone.
She was raised by her maternal grandmother from a young age and was not close to her so-called parents. When she was sixteen, she was brought home. Liu Qianmei disliked her cold personality and lack of sweet words, so she packed her up and sent her to boarding school, where she could only come home once a month. She was indifferent to her grades and life and did not even know that she had skipped a grade to go to university and graduated early. She thought she was good-for-nothing who only knew how to eat, drink and have fun.
Six months ago, her younger brother was supposedly in a car accident. She was called back for a blood transfusion, but it was discovered that her blood type did not match her brother's. This stirred up a hornet's nest, and the Yu family cut off her source of income.
Ironically, they never discovered that she had never touched a single penny in her bank account.
Yu Mowan left Yuhu Mountain and flew back to the Yu family in G City.
As soon as she entered the hall, she saw Liu Qianmei hugging a slender, innocent-looking girl and crying with heartache. Although Yu Tingshan wasn't hugging her, his gaze on the girl was also full of heartache.
She smirked, a sardonic smile playing on her lips, a subtle mockery that perhaps this was the magic of blood ties.
The girl had just been found and was already receiving all the love and pity from her so-called parents, whereas when she was brought back from her grandmother's house, she was met with constant criticism.
"Master, Madam, Miss is back."
One of the servants, not wanting Yu Mowan to be ignored, carefully reminded her.
Liu Qianmei looked up and glared at her, saying irritably, "She's not even a member of the Yu family, so what kind of young lady is she? If you call her that again, get out of here."
The maid shrank back, not daring to say anything more.
"Butler, give her the luggage and tell her to get out."
Liu Qianmei gave instructions to the steward.
