"You're not bad, you just don't meet my standards."
Si Ting Yu Dao.
Shu Xueyin still clung to a last glimmer of hope: "If I become as beautiful as my sister, will you like me?"
"Won't."
Si Tingyu gave him no chance.
Shu Xueyin gave up completely.
She finally admitted that this man's heart had never been with her.
Even though she always called him "Brother Si" sweetly, his heart remained as cold and hard as iron.
"Brother Si, you really are the most heartless man I've ever met."
She said sadly.
Si Tingyu neither agreed nor disagreed.
"Shu Xueyin, I came to see you today so that you can be mentally prepared to spend more time in jail."
He got back to the point, "Don't even think about your grandma being able to get you out of here."
After saying that, he said to the Shu brothers, "Ling Yi, Ling Yin, let's go."
Shu Xueyin stared blankly as they left, her eyes gradually losing their light, then becoming numb and lifeless.
If she really had to stay in prison until she grew old, she would rather die.
Having finally met the important figure and persuaded him to agree to talk to the Shu family, Fu Rong left happily, only to receive a phone call from someone monitoring the police station.
"What? Shu Lingyin and the others went to see Yinyin?"
After hearing her subordinate's report, Fu Rong was so anxious she almost spat out her words, "Have you found out what they said to Yin Yin?"
"Madam, we couldn't find anything. However, it's said that when Miss was taken back, she looked utterly despondent. It's probably because the three young masters had dealt her a heavy blow."
The subordinates reported the truth.
Fu Rong even had the idea of killing Shu Lingyi and the other two.
They wouldn't be satisfied until they drove Shu Xueyin to her death.
"Go to the police station."
She said in a deep voice.
The driver drove to the police station.
When she finally arrived, the police station refused to allow her to visit Shu Xueyin twice on the same day, regardless of what connections she used.
Fu Rong knew that this was definitely the work of Si Tingyu and his two grandsons.
She went directly to Si Tingyu.
I waited outside the company for several hours before he came out with a group of people.
After visiting Shu Xueyin at the police station with the Shu brothers, he returned to the company for an international conference to discuss the problems that had arisen in the ongoing project.
"Si Tingyu."
Fu Rong strode over there with an air of arrogance.
Seeing this, the others instinctively protected Si Tingyu.
"You should all go back."
Si Tingyu said to them, "This is an old lady from a prominent family. She must have something to say to me."
"Yes, Mr. Si."
Only then did everyone obediently disperse.
Once only he and Fu Rong were left at the scene, he pretended to be clueless and asked, "Grandma Fu, is there something important that you came to see me in such a hurry?"
"Don't play dumb with me. Did you bribe the police to prevent me from seeing Yin Yin?"
Fu Rong got straight to the point.
Si Tingyu's face turned cold: "Grandma Fu, she is a suspect who intended to harm Wanwan. Isn't it normal for the police station to refuse prison visits and bail? You're in such a hurry to come and question me, can you interpret that as you don't think she's guilty at all?"
"..."
Fu Rong was stumped by his question.
Although that's what she thought, she definitely couldn't say it in front of Si Tingyu, otherwise she would anger him and put even more pressure on the police station.
After a long pause, she stammered, "Mo Wan is fine, so why are you all being so aggressive?"
A cold glint flashed in Si Tingyu's eyes.
"Grandma Fu, if your beloved granddaughter was tampered with but nothing happened, would you generously forgive the perpetrator?"
He casually retorted.
Fu Rong reflexively replied, "How could I possibly be the perpetrator..."
As soon as the words left her mouth, she realized she had made a mistake.
Si Tingyu said with a half-smile, "Grandma Fu, you're quite hypocritical."
"But you treat your adopted granddaughter like a treasure, yet you don't care about the life or death of your biological granddaughter. Aren't you afraid of breaking the hearts of the Shu family?"
He said something similar to what Old Master Si said: "Once a relationship has a rift, it's incredibly difficult to repair. Are you really planning to sever ties with your family?"
Fu Rong really wanted to say, "What does Si Tingyu know?"
But he swallowed the words back down his throat.
"Tingyu, stop lecturing me. I came to see you today so you can put in a good word with the police and let me see Yinyin right now."
She said irritably.
Si Tingyu smiled, but there was no smile in his eyes. "Grandma Fu, I can't do this. You should ask someone else."
Fu Rong's old face darkened, and she began to express her gratitude as an elder: "Tingyu, you've often come to the Shu family since you were little. I've always thought I've treated you well, always having people bring you the best food and drinks. Now I'm just asking you for a small favor. Are you really going to embarrass me?"
Perhaps seeing that Si Tingyu was unmoved, she resorted to a more drastic measure.
"Tingyu, you haven't forgotten that I'm Mo Wan's grandmother, have you?"
She said, "If you want to marry her, I have the right to veto it. I will make a scene at home and refuse to agree. Even if Chu Xiao is dissatisfied, he can't do anything to his mother."
"So, how about it? Let me see Yin Yin, and you'll be able to marry Mo Wan smoothly. You're not at a loss, are you?"
She looked at Si Tingyu and gave him the choice.
Without a second thought, Si Tingyu walked right past her.
Fu Rong paused for a moment, then jogged to catch up with Si Tingyu.
"Tingyu, what do you mean by this? You don't want to marry her anymore?"
She said angrily.
Si Tingyu looked at her indifferently, "Grandma Fu, firstly, Wanwan is still young. Uncle Yishu and the others will take good care of her and won't be willing to let her get married until she's at least twenty-eight or twenty-nine years old. So if I want to marry her, I'll have to wait at least eight or nine years."
