"I've been fooled by you for so many years, shouldn't I be laughing?"
Shu Chuxiao looked at Fu Rong with a sorrowful expression and said.
"Chu Xiao, how did I play a trick on you?"
Fu Rong denied it, saying, "Although I'm not your biological mother, I raised you with my own hands. That debt of gratitude for raising you isn't fake, is it?"
Are you sure you raised me, and that it wasn't mostly me being cared for by a nanny or maid?
Shu Chuxiao said.
His father was busy with work when he was young, so he either lived with his grandparents or was taken care of by a nanny. Fu Rong rarely spent time with him. She would tease him when she was happy, but often she would pinch his face as if she was venting her anger and say some inexplicable things.
He was young then and thought it was because she didn't like him that she acted this way, but now that the truth has been revealed, he realizes that she was jealous of him getting all the good things, while her own son could only be raised by outsiders.
She both envied and hated him, yet she had no choice but to rely on him to solidify her position as the mistress of the Shu family.
With such a distorted mindset, her attitude towards him fluctuated, and as time went by, the relationship between mother and son became quite ordinary.
However, out of gratitude for being raised, he often makes concessions, which in turn causes his wife to suffer.
Looking back now, he really feels guilty towards his wife.
Even if the nanny or maid takes care of you a lot, I'm still your mother.
Fu Rong retorted stubbornly.
"Grandma, oh no, Ms. Fu, please allow me to tell you that forcing someone to get pregnant and taking their child to raise is illegal."
Shu Mowan crossed her arms and said lightly, "If you want to use the debt of raising me to pressure my father, I have no choice but to hand over the evidence I've gathered to the police."
"That way, you can go to prison and keep Shu Xueyin company without worrying that she will be bullied inside."
She looked down at Fu Rong, who was slumped on the floor. "How was I? Wasn't I good to you?"
Fu Rong was so frightened that her mind went blank, and she only managed to grasp the key words, "Shu Mowan, what do you mean? Didn't you promise Old Master Yang that you would let Yin Yin go?"
Do I have one?
Shu Mowan feigned ignorance and asked a question in return.
"you……"
Fu Rong was furious.
"It was just that I persuaded Uncle Yang to set up this scheme, and you were jumping around like a grasshopper. Did you really think I was that easy to talk to?"
Shu Mowan stopped pretending and spoke in a light and disdainful tone.
Fu Rong was truly furious.
"Shu Mowan, I'll fight you to the death."
Like an angry lioness, she pounced on Shu Mowan without regard for anything else.
"Wanwan, watch out!"
"Little sister, watch out!"
Shu Chuxiao and the five Shu brothers all wanted to deal with Rong, but Shu Mowan, who was closer, was faster and directly tied the old woman's hands behind her back.
Unable to move her hands, Fu Rong kicked and jumped around, yelling, "Shu Mowan, you slut, you piece of trash... let me go!"
Shu Chuxiao and the others stared at her in astonishment.
They never knew that Fu Rong had so many foul words to use.
“Ms. Fu, the more you scold me, the better I can secretly work to get the law to give Shu Xueyin a harsher sentence.”
Shu Mowan said coldly.
Fu Rong felt as if a snake had been grabbed by its vital spot, and all her insults were stuck in her throat.
She's old enough not to be afraid of being sent to jail, but Yin Yin is still young and absolutely cannot be sent to jail, otherwise her life will be ruined.
"Chu Xiao, if you're angry, just send me to jail. I only ask that you ask your good daughter to let Yin Yin go."
After a while, Fu Rong broke free from Shu Mowan's restraints and suddenly ran to Shu Chuxiao, kneeling down on both knees. She said with tears streaming down her face, "I already feel extremely guilty for not being able to be there for my son as he grows up. If I can't even protect his son, I will die with regrets."
"I admit I haven't been good enough to you, but I have a debt of gratitude for raising you. I just want you to forgive Yin Yin. It's not that hard, is it?"
She looked at Shu Chuxiao with teary eyes, "Let her go, and I'll go to jail for her. That'll even things out, okay?"
Shu Chuxiao's heart was as hard as iron; he bent down and pushed Fu Rong's hand away.
“Ms. Fu, out of consideration for our past relationship as mother and son, I will not send you to jail. But the mistakes Shu Xueyin made will be judged according to the law, and I will not look into it.”
He said coldly.
Seeing that he was unmoved by her words, Fu Rong was furious, angry, and resentful. She gritted her teeth and said, "Chu Xiao, aren't you afraid that I'll go outside and make a scene, saying that you're trying to drive me to my death?"
"Go ahead."
Shu Chuxiao looked down at her coldly, "It's a good opportunity for everyone to know how you schemed to get the maid in your household to get pregnant?"
Fu Rong glared back at him: "You think I'm afraid?"
“I know you’re not afraid, but if you make a scene, someone with a sense of justice might call the police. If the police come and take you away, then no one will be able to get your precious granddaughter out.”
Shu Chuxiao said, "Don't say I'm heartless or that I don't care about the bond between mother and son when the time comes."
Shu Xueyin is clearly Fu Rong's Achilles' heel; as long as someone brings her into the open, Fu Rong is helpless.
"Shu Chuxiao, you just wait, I won't let this go so easily."
Although Fu Rong was defeated, she still straightened her old back before leaving and said fiercely, "If Yin Yin says anything in prison, I will risk everything to show everyone how ruthless you are."
If she were to be sent to jail by the Shu family, Shu Chuxiao, her nominal son, would certainly not have a good reputation either.
After all, for decades, she had maintained the illusion that she was good to Shu Chuxiao.
Even if the gift of life is obtained illegally, it is still a kindness.
Shu Chuxiao dared to send her to jail to suffer, so he should just wait to be gossiped about behind his back.
"You all just wait and see."
After threatening Shu Chuxiao, Fu Rong glared at Yun Yun and the five Shu brothers. Finally, her gaze fell on Shu Mowan, her eyes filled with venom, as if she wanted to tear her apart. She gritted her teeth and said, "You little slut, let's see how long you can be so arrogant."
