Chapter 7 Both sides want to resolve this arranged marriage.

Shu Mowan just smiled.

She had no intention of giving Mr. Si hope, but she didn't want to say she disliked him for being old, so she simply responded with a smile.

"Xiao Xueru, he's a bit older, but he's very caring."

Old Master Si spoke up for his grandson.

"Grandpa Si, please get some rest. We can talk about whether Tingyu cares about people or not after they meet, okay?"

Shu Lingyi politely interrupted.

He didn't want his sister to be taken away by Si Tingyu.

Old Master Si could tell that the five Shu brothers were quite wary of this topic, so he wisely refrained from saying anything more.

The Shu family chatted with him for a while before taking their leave.

Once outside, Shu Lingyin frowned and whispered, "Big brother, are you really going to let your sister get engaged to Tingyu?"

Tingyu is a good person, but he can't take his sister away.

"It's not even done yet, what are you worrying about?"

Shu Lingyi glanced at him and said.

"We only stopped the daylilies from getting cold by the time they were ready."

Shu Lingyin frowned even more deeply. "What do you think?"

"I will ask Tingyu to meet me when he returns to the capital."

Shu Lingyi thought for a moment and said, "He hasn't seen his sister for many years, so he definitely doesn't have any feelings for her. He's giving up on this childhood betrothal, so Old Master Si can't really say anything."

With Si Tingyu playing the villain, the old man couldn't blame his sister.

Shu Lingyin was then happy and praised her older brother, "Big brother is really amazing."

"Stop flattering him, be nicer to your sister, that's the important thing."

Shu Lingyi reminded him.

Shu Lingyin nodded repeatedly.

He cherished his sister, whom he had finally found, as if she were a precious jewel.

Anyone who dares to bully her is going against her.

They went to see the old woman, but she happened to be sleeping, so they had to come out first.

"Wanwan, what's your maternal grandmother's name?"

Yun Yun asked.

“She and my maternal grandfather share the same surname, Liu, and her given name is Qiao Chu.”

Yu Mowan said.

Yun Yun noted it down, "From now on, I will call her Aunt Liu."

Yu Mowan had no objection.

She didn't care much about how she was addressed; all she wanted was for her family to show respect to her grandmother.

...

While they were waiting for Liu Qiaochu to wake up, Old Master Si was making a phone call to Si Tingyu.

"Grandson, you've been away on business for several days now, isn't it time for you to come back?"

As soon as the call connected, he got straight to the point.

Si Tingyu, also dressed in a hospital gown, stood by the window and asked instead of answering, "You suddenly care about my return journey, is there something important you need me to tell you?"

Boss Si laughed: "You really can't hide anything from you, you little rascal."

"Your Uncle Shu's youngest daughter has been found. I want you to come back and see her soon."

He said bluntly, "If you two hit it off, I'll shamelessly beg the Shu family to agree to your engagement soon."

Even if the Shu family doesn't want Yu Mowan to marry early, the betrothal was already arranged when they were children. If he shamelessly tries to negotiate, the engagement can still be arranged.

Si Tingyu was slightly taken aback. "You found it?"

The face of the girl who saved him flashed through his mind. She looked so much like Aunt Yun. Maybe he could start by looking into her.

"Yes, we just found her. She was adopted and raised by the Yu family in G City."

Old Master Si chimed in, then steered the conversation back to the previous point: "Did you remember what I told you to do? Come back soon and meet potential partners."

"Grandpa, I have someone I like, so I can only treat her as a younger sister. We can forget about getting engaged."

He raised his hand and pinched the bridge of his nose, his tone tinged with helplessness, "When I get back, I will personally go to Uncle Shu's house and tell him that the childhood betrothal is invalid."

When he heard this, Old Master Si raised his hand to cover his chest, feigning illness with ease. "You little rascal, all you know is to use having someone you like to fool me. Ouch, I can't take it anymore, my chest hurts so much. Just let me go down to keep your grandma company. Anyway, you're all grown up now and won't listen to me."

Si Tingyu was speechless and choked with emotion.

They're faking illness again.

"Grandpa, let's talk about this when I get back."

He had no choice but to compromise.

Old Master Si knew Si Tingyu to some extent. Seeing his apparent compromise, he narrowed his eyes and threatened, "Tingyu, we can talk about this when you get back, but you're not allowed to do anything underhanded behind my back, or you'll be in for a beating..."

"Grandpa, don't talk nonsense!"

Si Tingyu raised his voice to interrupt: "No matter what happens between Xue Ru and me, I hope you live to be a hundred years old."

He disliked the fact that Master Si cursed him.

Master Si said, "I know, I was just trying to scare you."

Forget it, let's wait until he gets back before making any plans.

He still wanted to make Yu Mowan his granddaughter-in-law, even though she was such a lovely girl.

"Alright, I won't talk nonsense. Just remember to come back after you've finished your business."

"Um."

The grandfather and grandson chatted for a while longer before hanging up the phone.

"Brother Yu".

Someone opened the door and came in, saying.

Si Tingyu put his phone away, turned to look at the person, and asked, "Have you heard from her?"

The "she" he was referring to was naturally the girl who saved him that day.

"No."

The person shook their head: "We checked the surveillance footage at all the exits of Jade Pot Mountain, and there was no sign of the girl you mentioned. Either she's still inside and hasn't come out, or..."

This person doesn't exist.

Si Tingyu wasn't stupid; he could easily tell what Si Tingyu was about to say.

He narrowed his eyes, a half-smile playing on his lips: "You think that because I'm seriously injured and able to save myself, I've conjured up a savior out of imagination?"

"Brother Yu, that's not what I meant, I..."

The person who came tried to explain, but Si Tingyu interrupted him, saying, "Keep looking."

He was determined to find Yu Mowan, not only to repay her for saving his life, but also because he had developed feelings for her.

When life and death are at stake, and someone crosses the lake to save you, pulling you back from the brink of death, anyone would feel grateful.
