Fu Rong is really getting old; she takes many things for granted.
She suddenly felt very heavy-hearted, worried that as Fu Rong grew older, she would no longer be able to protect her, leaving her like a piece of duckweed, vulnerable to being bullied.
"Yinyin, what's wrong?"
Fu Rong said worriedly.
Shu Xueyin nestled obediently in her arms, saying sweet words: "Grandma, I'm fine. I just feel sorry for you doing so much for me. If I were more obedient, you wouldn't be like this."
Fu Rong felt much more at ease.
"Silly Yinyin, I'm your grandma, it's only natural for me to do things for you."
She raised her hand and touched Shu Xueyin's face. "Be good here. Don't do anything foolish. Wait for Grandma to come and pick you up. Everything will be alright."
Shu Xueyin nodded obediently.
After Fu Rong left, she was taken back to her original place with mixed feelings of joy and sorrow.
She was happy to have the opportunity to leave, but worried about whether the person Fu Rong had found truly wanted to help her.
Could it be that her parents deliberately set her up to make her happy?
Thinking about this, she felt upset again.
Fu Rong wasn't as worried as Shu Xueyin. She felt that since the person above had agreed to help, her Yinyin would be fine, so she slept exceptionally well that night.
When he woke up the next day, he received a call from his subordinate saying that the person had already gone to see Shu Lingyi and his siblings.
She paced back and forth excitedly, feeling that the matter was absolutely settled.
Fu Rong immediately brushed her teeth and washed her face, and went to see Shu Xueyin without even having breakfast.
"Yinyin, look, the one Grandma mentioned has already gone to see Ling Yi and the others. You're not far from leaving."
Fu Rong opened the photo and handed it to Shu Xueyin.
Shu Xueyin had seen this important figure on television. Seeing the photos of him meeting with Shu Lingyi calmed her restless heart after a sleepless night.
She also felt that her chances of getting out were absolutely certain.
"Grandma, thank you for going to so much trouble for me."
She hugged Fu Rong and said sincerely.
Fu Rong patted her back with a smile, "Yinyin, now you don't have to worry about Grandma just trying to appease you, right?"
Shu Xueyin smiled somewhat embarrassedly.
"You stay inside and behave yourself. Grandma will come to pick you up in a few days."
Fu Rong patted her head: "When you get home, apologize to Shu Mowan properly, and I'll mediate. Then this matter can be considered as if it never happened."
Shu Xueyin nodded obediently: "Okay, Grandma."
As long as she can get out, she'd be willing to act like a granddaughter in front of Shu Mowan.
"I'll go prepare a generous gift for that person first."
Fu Rong stayed with Shu Xueyin for a short while before hurriedly leaving to prepare a generous gift in return.
Inside the private room.
Shu Mowan received a photo from Xiao Jiyu showing Fu Rong excitedly preparing a lavish gift at a large shopping mall.
She silently curled her lips, but her eyes were filled with a cold glint.
Fu Rong was destined never to give this gift.
"Little miracle doctor, I never imagined you would be so young."
The man Fu Rong had begged to stand before her was a sprightly old man over sixty. His gaze toward Shu Mowan was full of curiosity and gentleness, but not of suspicion.
She seems to accept her identity as a miracle doctor quite well.
"You can just call me Mo Wan."
Shu Mowan put her phone away and said politely.
"Okay."
The old man readily agreed, saying, "You can just call me Uncle."
Shu Mowan nodded.
"Little Mo Wan, now that your grandmother has asked me for this favor, when do you plan for me to go back on my word?"
The old man got back to the main topic.
