“It’s been a while since we last met. I’d like to drink the tea you brewed, and the other old folks would also like you to keep them company and have a chat.”
He said.
Since the elders have said so, Shu Mowan can't possibly refuse.
"Okay, I'll send you the time and address on WeChat later. Remember to come over."
Chairman Zhang said, "Otherwise, those old guys won't see you, and they'll start nagging me about how I can't get things done."
Shu Mowan smiled and repeatedly assured him that she would definitely arrive.
After hanging up the phone, she saw Si Tingyu looking over and offered a brief explanation.
"Wanwan, do you mind if someone with only average artistic talent like me shamelessly goes with you?"
Si Tingyu asked.
He seized every opportunity to introduce him to people Shu Mowan knew.
Shu Mowan understood his little scheme perfectly well, but she still agreed to let him come along.
"Wanwan, thank you for giving me the opportunity to go to the exhibition. I promise I won't embarrass you."
Si Tingyu said solemnly.
Shu Mowan patted him on the shoulder, "That's enough, it's just a small art exhibition and exchange, no need to take it so seriously."
Si Tingyu smiled but didn't reply.
But she had already decided in her heart that she should make a good impression on the group of elders that Shu Mowan knew.
The more people around her praise him, the more likely she is to accept him.
The next day, Shu Mowan wore a beige dress, her hair was tied in a high ponytail, and she wore white sneakers, making her look even more youthful and vibrant.
Looking at her, so delicate and youthful, Si Tingyu, dressed in a sharp suit, suddenly felt much older.
“Wanwan, you should have told me that you’re dressed so young.”
He pursed his lips, looking a little troubled.
The two are already seven years apart in age, and he's dressed so maturely. What if the older generation she knows thinks he's too old?
"How about I go to the store and pick out a younger-looking outfit to change into before I go?"
He pondered for a moment.
Shu Mowan looked him over and shook her head, saying, "Brother Si, no need. You're handsome and charming just the way you are."
"real?"
Si Tingyu was overjoyed; his smile was harder to suppress than an AK.
Shu Mowan nodded and praised him a few more times.
Si Tingyu was so flattered that he was dizzy, and his lips were curled up in a smile the whole way.
Upon arriving at the art exhibition center, the two got out of the car. Si Tingyu received a call from his secretary, so he had no choice but to let Shu Mowan go in first.
"Miss Shumo, it's been a long time."
Chairman Zhang's assistant came over with a smile: "Chairman Zhang has some matters to attend to and may be ten minutes late. We hope you can understand."
"It's nothing, he sent me a WeChat message on the way."
Shu Mowan waved her hand and said, "Go ahead and do your work, I'll just wander around inside by myself."
The assistant nodded and tactfully left.
Because Shu Mowan had trended on social media, many people at the convention center recognized her and tried to come over to chat with her, but she politely declined.
She prefers to wander around by herself for now.
These people were sensible and returned to their original positions.
As Shu Mowan strolled inside, she suddenly heard an arrogant and mocking male voice: "Traditional Chinese paintings look so low-class. These realistic paintings are not even as good as taking a picture with a camera. They are not even comparable to Western paintings. I feel disgusted just looking at these trashy paintings."
She paused slightly, looked in the direction of the sound, and saw a stylishly dressed young man. If his face wasn't full of sarcasm, he was quite good-looking.
Where did this idiot come from?
Shu Mowan called over a staff member and said, "Where did this idiot come from? Why invite such a fool who doesn't even understand traditional Chinese painting?"
