A loud crash came from the main hall of the stronghold. Fu Chishang rushed in, shouting, "Ye Shu!"
Fu Chishang entered the main hall and was instantly stunned by the scene before him.
Ye Shu sat boldly in the main chair, holding a long whip in her hand. Boxes piled up beside her contained some jewelry. Several men stood obediently in front of her, their faces bruised and swollen, their heads hanging low.
"Fu Chishang! What brings you here?" Ye Shu heard the noise, looked towards the door, and her eyes lit up with surprise.
"What's going on?" Fu Chishang was also bewildered by the scene. He walked up to Ye Shu and asked, "Are you alright? Are you hurt?"
Upon hearing this, the men's lips twitched violently. Before saying such things, they should have looked at them first. This woman was so ruthless; if anyone was to get hurt, it would be them!
"I'm not injured," Ye Shu shook her head.
Seeing that Ye Shu was unharmed, Fu Chishang breathed a sigh of relief, but what followed was lingering fear.
"Why did you run off to the Nine Provinces Continent without a word? Do you know how dangerous it is? You're all alone on the Nine Provinces Continent. What if something happens to you? Where am I supposed to find you? What am I supposed to do?!"
Ye Shu was stunned for a moment by these sharp and stern questions. After she came to her senses, she felt somewhat aggrieved.
"Why are you being so fierce! I just wanted to come to the Nine Provinces Continent to see you. You disappeared without a trace, and recently that terrible thing called turbid qi appeared again. I was worried about you, so I worked hard to cultivate and finally ascended to the Nine Provinces Continent."
"As a result, I got lost on my way to the God Realm to find you, and wandered into this broken forest. I couldn't find my way out, and I was bullied by these guys."
Fu Chishang's sharp, knife-like gaze instantly fell on those people, his tone icy, "They bullied you!"
Those people were so overwhelmed by the oppressive aura emanating from Fu Chishang that they could hardly breathe, and their survival instincts made them shake their heads like rattles.
"No, they wanted to take me to their stronghold to be their wife, but they underestimated my strength. I have the protective talisman you gave me before, which can block their power."

"Fu Chishang, they couldn't bully me, but now you're bullying me. I went through so much trouble to see you, and you yell at me as soon as you see me!" Ye Shu said angrily.
"No...no, I didn't mean to be mean to you. Even if you hadn't come to the Nine Provinces Continent, I would have gone back to find you. I was just worried that you might encounter some unbearable danger. I didn't control my emotions just now. I'm sorry, it was my fault." Fu Chishang admitted his mistake very quickly.
Ye Shu muttered softly, "I have the protective charm you gave me, what danger could I possibly be in? I think you're just worried sick."
Although Ye Shu's voice was very soft, Fu Chishang still heard it. "I'm worried about you. I'm afraid that if something happens to you, I'll have one less rival, and no one will be able to argue with me anymore."
"If you can't speak properly, then shut up. No wonder no one has wanted you all these years." Ye Shu rolled her eyes and looked at the bandits. "Take your things and come with me. I'll make sure you return them."
Ye Shu pointed to her eyes, then to them, and slammed the whip in her hand to the ground with a "crack." "Anyone who harbors any improper thoughts, be careful, my whip has no eyes!"
She was already seething with anger and nowhere to vent it; anyone who dared to run into the line of fire at this moment would definitely suffer the consequences.
She thought Fu Chishang had finally come to his senses and was only looking for her because he was worried about her. But it turns out he was just worried that no one would argue with him anymore. She was furious and never wanted to talk to him again.
"Where are you going?" Seeing Ye Shu about to leave, Fu Chishang grabbed her wrist.
"Go and do some chivalrous deeds," Ye Shu said irritably.
Looking at Ye Shu, who had made him so angry he looked like a pufferfish, Fu Chishang couldn't suppress the smile on his lips.
"Get out." Fu Chishang glanced at them, and the few people in the main hall who were ready to watch the show trembled, quickly turned around and left, and thoughtfully closed the door behind them.
Even if they were blind, they could see the unusual atmosphere between the two. If they hadn't been so observant as to be third wheels, they probably wouldn't even know how they died.
"I fooled you again." Fu Chishang's smile was mocking.
"Fu Chishang! You've tricked me again." Ye Shu turned her back angrily. If it weren't for the fact that he found her, she would have liked to whip him.
Fu Chishang turned Ye Shu around to face her, his eyes full of smiles. "Ye Shu, I didn't lie to you or play tricks on you. I want to tell you that I was genuinely worried about you, and I also genuinely enjoyed bickering with you."
"Perhaps I had fallen in love with you long ago, but I didn't realize it until I faced life and death and your image appeared in my mind, and then I finally understood."
"In the days and nights we spend together, bickering and joking, your image has unknowingly been imprinted in my heart. Ye Shu, I like you. I like your frankness and straightforwardness, I like your sincerity and courage. So I want to give myself a chance."
"Are you trying to express your feelings to me?" Ye Shu asked.
"yes."
"You never tell the truth," Ye Shu muttered. "I don't know whether to believe you or not. Who knows if you're just making fun of me again."
“If you want to know if it’s true, you can come and see for yourself. You say I’m playing a trick on you, and you can play a trick on me back. You can play tricks on me for the rest of your life, and I will have no complaints,” Fu Chishang said earnestly.
"Life is so long, I don't want to waste it all on you," Ye Shu snorted.
