Chapter 387 Reversal of Time

Now she has been inexplicably pulled into this chaotic world. Could it be that the time has come?

Ruan Xiyan looked at the Law Disc floating in front of her, then at the circular groove on the gate, and placed the Law Disc into that circular groove.

The circular groove, carrying the law disc, rotated several times before the gate slowly opened.

Ruan Xiyan looked at the open door and stepped inside.

Behind the gate, various chaotic and violent forces swirled, somewhat resembling a scene from the primordial era when heaven and earth were in chaos.

Amidst the chaotic and violent forces, strands of golden power were interspersed, connected like threads, stretching endlessly and drifting in the pitch-black chaos.

Ruan Xiyan gently touched the silk thread in front of her, and the thread automatically wrapped around her fingertips.

The instant the silk threads wrapped around his fingertips, some images appeared out of thin air in this chaotic void.

The scene depicts the imperial city of the Yunli Empire, showing Ling Yunchen being severely injured by the gods.

Ruan Xiyan's pupils contracted slightly. Even now, seeing the scene from that day again, she couldn't help but feel angry.

She took a few steps forward, and her fingers touched another thread.

The scene changed, now showing the Illusionary Concealment Sect holding its grand competition to claim supremacy.

After examining several of the threads, Ruan Xiyan finally understood what they were.

These golden threads seem to form a reverse river of time, with the end of each thread representing an event that occurred at a certain point in the past.

However, the fragments of images she saw through the silk threads were all related to her.

If that's the case, does it mean she can regain her memories of the Demon Realm more quickly?

With this in mind, Ruan Xiyan walked on the reverse river of time composed of silk threads, searching among the thousands of threads for those that would help her remember the past.

Ruan Xiyan held a silk thread tightly in her hand, and a scene came into her view.

In a desolate, uninhabited desert.

A woman in a red dress sat casually on a rock, her long ponytail swaying slightly with her movements.

She held a string of sand scorpions on a bamboo stick in her hand, and she placed the stringed sand scorpions on the fire in front of her to roast.

She rested her chin on her hand, her gleaming blood-red eyes fixed on the sand scorpion string with longing.

These incredibly delicious sand scorpions can only be found in this desert, and they taste best when caught and eaten fresh. She came all the way from the Demon Realm just to taste this delicious roasted sand scorpion.

The woman in red looked at the sizzling, oily sand scorpions, took a bite, and couldn't hide her satisfaction. Delicious! It tasted just like before!

She ate the sand scorpions one after another in no time, and then waited listlessly for the other sand scorpion skewers on the shelf.

Suddenly, a cursing voice came from afar.

The woman in red's eyes lit up. There were other people in this run-down place; it would be a good way for her to kill some time.

The woman in red stood up and walked towards the direction from which the sound came from.

"You filthy beggar, get up right now! If you dare to delay any longer and waste my time, I'll skin you alive!" A fierce-looking middle-aged man held a long whip covered in barbs.

With a sharp crack, the whip struck a boy on the ground, instantly tearing his skin and causing it to bleed.

Even so, the boy's face did not show a submissive expression. Instead, he glared stubbornly at the man holding the long whip. His fierce eyes seemed to harbor a lurking beast, as if he would pounce on the middle-aged man and tear him apart at any moment.

"You dare glare at me!" The middle-aged man lashed the boy several more times with his whip, trying to extinguish his arrogance.

The boy was beaten bloody and mangled, his lips were tightly pressed together, and his eyes were filled with resentment and forbearance.

Another middle-aged man standing nearby watched coldly. When he saw that the boy was beaten so badly that he couldn't get up, he said indifferently, "Take it easy on him. We're hoping to get a good price for him."

"I know what I'm doing; I haven't hurt this handsome face at all."

"Alright, alright, let's keep going." The middle-aged man roughly pulled the boy up from the ground.

The boy slowly raised his head, stared into their eyes, and said, word by word, "You deserve to die."

An invisible wave emanated from the corner of his mouth.

When the two middle-aged men heard the boy suddenly say such a thing, they frowned and were about to scold him when they suddenly felt a spasm in their chests, their hearts pounding violently and then exploding.

Before they could even comprehend what had happened, they collapsed to the ground, lifeless.

The boy suffered a backlash, spitting out a mouthful of blood as his swaying body collapsed to the ground.

Just as he was about to fall, an arm caught him from behind.

A clear, cheerful voice followed, "Interesting little fellow, you're clearly powerless, yet your words can become law."

"Come on, little beggar, I'll take you home."

The woman in red carried the boy towards the Demon Realm, making sure to take the grilled sand scorpion skewers with her before leaving.

As the scene ended, Ruan Xiyan's lips twitched slightly; she used to be quite greedy.

What she just saw was the scene of her first encounter with A Yu. Ruan Xiyan touched the silk thread beside her to check another scene.

The boy who was brought back to the Demon Realm was like a wary little beast covered in thorns. Those thorns were his defensive shell, and anyone who got close to him would be hurt.

He curled up in bed, refusing to be touched.

The doctors standing by were helpless. This was someone the Ancestor had brought back, and they dared not force him to take medicine, for fear of hurting him and causing the Ancestor to blame them.

A woman in red walked in from outside the hall, and the physician quickly bowed, "Greetings, Ancestor."

"How is it?"

"Our ancestor doesn't allow us to get close. If we do, his reaction becomes extremely violent," the physician replied, bowing his head.

"Leave the medicine here, you may leave now."

"Yes." The doctors, as if granted a pardon, bowed and left.

The woman in red sat down by the bed, picked up the medicine on the table, and began to apply it to him.

The boy tried to struggle, but was held down firmly and unable to move.

"Behave yourself!" the woman in red said, her tone becoming more forceful. "You have no strength left in your body. If such severe injuries are not treated, they could be fatal."

"Didn't you want to live? Now that you have the chance to live, why do you want to die instead?"

“I didn’t want to die,” the boy retorted.

"Then apply the medicine obediently," the woman in red said.

The boy stopped talking, but he also stopped struggling. He secretly sized up the dazzlingly beautiful and arrogant woman in front of him, and everything else paled in comparison to her.
