Chapter 333 Nonsense

Patients always follow the doctor's instructions, and given Wen Huaiyan's status, which doctor would dare to talk nonsense about his condition?

This man is clearly making excuses on purpose.

Or was he doing this on purpose, with the aim of continuing to "torture" himself?

As her thoughts raced, Li Ruo felt a surge of anger.

She took a deep breath, even forgetting her aversion to men, and immediately took a few steps closer, wanting an explanation from him.

Although Wen Huaiyan could see Li Ruo's anger, he didn't care at all and sneered, "Li Ruo, I think you should understand that I was injured because of you. You should take responsibility for me and take care of me until I fully recover. But you made plans for yourself based on the doctor's prediction. Isn't that a bit unreasonable?"

His voice was deep, and faintly, it carried a strong sense of questioning and accusation.

"I…"

Li Ruo already felt guilty towards him, and upon hearing this, she felt even more embarrassed and didn't know how to refute him for a moment.

Indeed, this was the case; if the other party hadn't offered help, this undeserved disaster would never have occurred.

Wen Huaiyan, however, had no intention of letting her off the hook: "If my wound is left with a scar or has any aftereffects because of your impatience, can you take responsibility for that?"

Upon hearing this, Li Ruo's initial excitement vanished instantly, leaving not a trace.

Left with no other choice, she took a deep breath and compromised, saying, "Okay, I respect your decision."

After all, she had already paid a heavy price for this accident, and she didn't want to have any unnecessary entanglements with this man because of it.

Ideally, it should be finished in one go!

But then, Li Ruo suddenly remembered something and asked, "By the way, when do you want to be discharged from the hospital?"

Since it's not three days later, there must be some time, right? Is it a week, or half a month?

She needs to know the exact time in order to plan for her next task.

However, Wen Huaiyan seemed completely unconcerned, and with a playful smirk, said, "We'll see when the time comes."

"you……"

Sensing the man's obvious perfunctory attitude and manipulative manner, Li Ruo frowned, feeling a surge of anger rising within her.

But Wen Huaiyan didn't give her a chance to refute. He leaned back on the bed again and lazily ordered, "The doctor said I'm lacking vitamins lately. Go peel some oranges for me."

"you!"

Seeing his matter-of-fact attitude, Li Ruo gritted her teeth, her eyes almost spitting fire.

But Wen Huaiyan had already guessed her reaction. Before she could speak, he cut her off again: "Don't forget the conditions you promised me yesterday."

Upon hearing this, Li Ruo paused abruptly, silently repeating to herself several times: Calm down...

Li Ruo, you must calm down!

This was a life-saving grace; without him, the kidnappers would have succeeded.

After tossing and turning and comforting herself for a while, Li Ruo's expression softened considerably.

She quickly peeled an orange and carefully handed it over: "Here you go!"

She understood Wen Huaiyan; once this man had made up his mind, no one could change it.

Rather than provoking him and letting him add more domineering clauses in a fit of anger, it's better to go along with him for now.

"That's more like it."

Nodding in satisfaction, Wen Huaiyan took the orange, slowly popped it into his mouth, and his usually indifferent expression softened considerably the moment the fragrant orange entered his mouth.

Seeing that he had finally stopped causing trouble, Li Ruo breathed a sigh of relief and went to the window to let in some fresh air.

She has never liked the smell of disinfectant in hospitals, but she has always put up with it.

But as soon as she reached the window, a huge poster quietly caught her eye.

It was an oil painting, hanging on the building across the street, and it was very conspicuous.

Looking at the painting, Li Ruo suddenly thought of Jiang Ze's art exhibition, and her eyes paused.

She's been so busy with company matters these past few days that she almost forgot about it.

Who exactly stopped Jiang Ze's art exhibition?

Thinking this, she raised an eyebrow and turned her gaze to Wen Huaiyan behind her. Pretending to be nonchalant, she whispered, "Wen Huaiyan, do you like going to art exhibitions?"

Caught off guard by her sudden question, Wen Huaiyan paused, then asked, "Why do you ask that?"

Seeing his puzzled expression, Li Ruo blinked: "I have a friend whose art exhibition, which he had prepared, was suddenly and inexplicably canceled. What do you think is the reason for that?"

As she spoke, her gaze was fixed on Wen Huaiyan, as if afraid of missing any expression on his face.

Although she didn't explicitly name Jiang Ze, if Wen Huaiyan really did it, he would definitely react.

However, Wen Huaiyan seemed unaware of what she was talking about. Upon hearing this, his expression immediately darkened: "Is your friend male or female?"

Upon hearing this, Li Ruo was stunned for a moment. Coming to her senses, she exclaimed in disbelief, "You…"

Is it real, or is it an act?
