Chapter 67 The Divine Sword That Appeared Out of Thin Air

I've already been struck by lightning, so this little bit of pain is nothing.

Shi Xuan carefully recalled the feeling when she was gradually getting into the swing of sword practice, and tried her best to adjust the balance between sword style and spiritual power. She also rapidly activated the Myriad Life Circulation to replenish the spiritual power consumed during this period.

Under the constraints of various forces, the sword technique gradually developed new rules, and Shi Xuan gradually mastered these new rules through constant repetition, becoming more and more adept at it.

The swordplay never stops, and all things are born endlessly. In this cyclical repetition, Shi Xuan's sword seems to have become an extension of his body, wielded with effortless skill and freedom. The sword techniques he uses have become ingrained in his body, requiring no conscious thought.

After repeating the mechanical movements hundreds of times, Shi Xuan fell into a state of self-forgetfulness. Everything around her seemed to be fading away, and only she remained in the world, twisting and turning in the gale, dancing her spirit sword into a blur of light and shadow.

Lu Shenzhi, in his spirit form, was secretly astonished. His junior sister had a unique characteristic: whatever she wanted to do, she could easily immerse herself in it wholeheartedly, and her efficiency was beyond that of ordinary people.

When she came to her senses, it was already the afternoon of the next day.

After a day and a night of continuous cultivation, she was starving and had to pull herself out of her trance.

Shi Xuan cast a cleansing spell on himself, took a fasting pill and put it in his mouth, then sat down by the cliff to rest for a while.

"Not bad," Lu Shenzhi gave a positive evaluation of her cultivation results.

"What's your situation right now?" Shi Xuan asked. "Can you show yourself and fight me? It's pretty boring practicing swordsmanship alone."

"Not yet," although he couldn't show himself yet, it didn't affect Lu Shenzhi's good mood. "Changing places is also very tiring, let's rest for a while longer."

"You can't get out," Shi Xuan nodded, then smiled slyly and said, "Senior Brother, you should be careful what you say these days. Sometimes when I'm in a bad mood, I like to throw useless things I'm carrying into my storage space. Don't accidentally..."

What?! Throw him in there?! That's practically a blatant threat! What's the difference between being thrown into a storage space and still being imprisoned inside his body? It's pitch black and there's nothing there!

Lu Shenzhi paused, then said insincerely, "Junior Sister is very good!"

Shi Xuan laughed heartily: "I think so too."

After she finished speaking, she picked up her sword again and stepped into the gale-force wind to begin her second round of sword practice.

Not long after, just as she was getting into the swing of things again, she suddenly felt something block her sword.

Shi Xuan looked closely and saw that a large black sword had joined her swordplay.

Strangely, no one wielded the large black sword; it was just a lone sword floating in the air, attempting to fight her.

This is a bit scary. I don't know where this black sword came from, and I don't know if it's friend or foe.

Shi Xuan withdrew her sword and took a step back, creating distance between herself and the greatsword. The sword didn't follow, but remained poised, as if it simply wanted to exchange blows with her.

Shi Xuan examined it closely. The sword was enormous, entirely black from hilt to blade, without any other color. The blade was wide, giving the impression that it was unsharpened. Near the hilt, two characters were faintly engraved: "敛锋" (Lianfeng, meaning "Concealed Edge"). The entire sword gave off a strange sense of familiarity.

"Senior Brother," Shi Xuan called out to Lu Shenzhi via telepathy, "Look at this sword!"

"How did it get out?" Lu Shenzhi asked in surprise. "Don't you think it looks familiar?"

Shi Xuan thought hard and realized he seemed to have seen it before. It was at the disciple registration desk when he first entered the sect. At the top of the desk was a portrait of the sect's founder, and his sword was a pure black greatsword that looked very similar to this one!

Could it be... Shi Xuan re-examined this black sword. Could this be the legendary sword of the sect's founder? But all the swords of the sect's deceased predecessors were sealed in the Sword Tomb. How did it come out?

The black sword was still eager to try, as if it wanted Shi Xuan to play with it, and it swayed gently.

"Perhaps it overheard your comment about wanting someone to spar with you? Why don't you let it fight you, Junior Sister?"

Before he could finish speaking, Shi Xuan had already drawn his sword and charged forward.

The black sword reacted extremely quickly, casually swinging horizontally to block the attack.

Shi Xuan felt that the greatsword was stronger than his senior brother's, but it was probably just playing around with him and hadn't used its full strength. Even so, Shi Xuan was having a hard time dealing with it.

It was intimately familiar with every single movement of Shi Xuan. This Concealed Edge Sword Technique was created by its master. If it could speak, it would probably say, "I have used the Concealed Edge Sword Technique more times than you have walked the roads."

But the benefits are also obvious. For the Concealed Edge Sword Technique, there is probably no better teacher. Some techniques are gained more profoundly through combat with it; even Lu Shenzhi, who was observing, benefited greatly.

After Shi Xuan used up all seven moves he had learned, it seemed that it still wanted Shi Xuan to use more moves. When it saw that Shi Xuan had reached the end, it even fanned itself as if it was disgusted.

Shi Xuan somewhat understood how his senior brother felt earlier. There was nothing he could do about it; he couldn't beat it in a fight, and it might not understand what he was saying.

I simply ignored it and started over again. The way of the sword requires countless repetitions.

The sword, which had been hovering to one side, reluctantly joined the battle. Even if it's clumsy, something to do is better than nothing.

The battle continued for another whole day. Lianfeng Sword had already begun demonstrating the eighth move, but this sword move became increasingly difficult to master as it progressed. This guy couldn't even speak. Although Shi Xuan made some progress, it wasn't much.
