Chapter 1 I've Transmigrated into a Book

July, 1975.

Artificial lake in the military family compound.

As Yun Jin stepped into the lake, she felt the chill and instinctively pulled her foot back. Looking down, she saw not her wet shoes, but her swollen belly.

What a big... belly?

The little hand trembled as it touched her belly, and it still moved.

Yun Jin: "!!!"

Yun Jin, you're something else! Staying up all night reading novels, not only did you get pregnant, but your belly even has its own thoughts and moves around.

This level of humidity is seriously excessive!

With a snap, Yun Jin, her face contorted in pain, realized she wasn't dreaming. She stared intently at her pregnant belly, on the verge of tears. Just as she was about to shatter, someone suddenly rushed over.

"Yun Jin, be careful."

Yun Jin turned around and looked at the melon seed girl who seemed to be there to push her into the artificial lake, rather than to stop her from falling in.

The girl with an oval face was dressed in a very retro style: an orange-red plaid long skirt, a cardigan knitted jacket, and a polka-dot cloth headband. Her outfit was a bit dowdy, but her features were pretty.

Before Yun Jin could take a closer look, she was stunned by a line of words that appeared above the head of the girl with the oval face.

Female lead: Feng Qianqian.

Representative work: "Reborn in the 70s, the Cold-Faced Military Young Master's Nightly Pampering".

Character Summary: The most beautiful girl in the military region, kind-hearted, and passionate. She ranked first in the college entrance examination and was admitted to Tsinghua and Peking Universities. She has a deep relationship with the male lead and is doted on by him. After marriage, she has three sons and one daughter, making her a winner in life.

......

Upon seeing this, Yun Jin stared wide-eyed in disbelief, feeling utterly devastated; she had actually transmigrated into a book.

She was wearing the costume from a book recommended by her friend, featuring a female supporting character with the same name as herself who died as soon as she appeared on screen.

Yun Jin: "???"

Does it have to be this urban?

I was just staying up late reading novels, I didn't commit murder or arson, why are you treating me like this?

Realizing she had transmigrated into a book, Yun Jin thought about the fate of the female supporting character in the novel, who summarized her life in just a few strokes of the pen, becoming the pitiful, unlucky, deceased first wife who was compared to the female lead, Feng Qianqian, in other people's eyes.

Is she going to die?

Or will it result in the death of both mother and child?

Her beautiful eyes stared at Feng Qianqian, who was charging recklessly, her gaze filled with hostility and murderous intent, intending to push her into the water.

Is this because you've awakened and don't want to die young, so you're helping to advance the storyline?

It's okay, it's okay, it's really okay!

In a life-or-death situation, survival is of the essence. Even at six months pregnant, Yun Jin was still a nimble and agile pregnant woman.

Yun Jin's nimble movement thwarted Feng Qianqian's plan. Unable to push her, Feng Qianqian cried out in surprise and fell into the artificial lake in a bizarre and exaggerated manner.

Afraid of getting her clothes wet, Yun Jin took a few steps back and coldly watched Feng Qianqian struggling and splashing in the water like a drowned rat. Yun Jin was still shaken.

If I hadn't suddenly transmigrated into the book and stopped that suicidal thought in time, I would be the one struggling in the artificial lake right now.

Just like in the novel, when they were discovered, both the mother and the unborn child were dead.

Thinking of this, Yun Jin felt a chill run down her spine. The little one in her belly seemed to sense her emotions and moved uneasily, trying its best to prove its existence.

Yun Jin felt a mix of emotions as she experienced the unfamiliar fetal movements.

Between Xiao Ming and the female lead, Yun Jin chooses Xiao Ming.

At this moment, Feng Qianqian, the female protagonist in the book who is about to replace Yun Jin, the deceased first wife, and marry the male protagonist, is pleading for help in the water: "Yun Jin, save me! Quickly pull me up! I can't swim!"

Yun Jin coldly watched the people soaking in the water, but the hidden glint in Feng Qianqian's eyes set Yun Jin's alarm bells ringing.

That look in her eyes doesn't seem like she wants me to save her, it's more like she wants to drag me down with her.

Yun Jin will not follow the novel's setting and actually become the deceased first wife to make room for Feng Qianqian.

Before she transmigrated here, the cannon fodder original wife was unaware that she was being schemed against, and she didn't know how to fight back when she was wronged. She even lost her life and her unborn child because of those rumors.

Regardless of who the male lead marries in the future, the fact is that Yun Jin has arrived means this life cannot end here.

To expect her to make Feng Qianqian and the male lead a perfect couple, becoming an enviable model couple in the military compound, having four children in three years—that's just a pipe dream.

As for why there are four, the female protagonist Feng Qianqian has the same uterus setting as other female protagonists in novels. Her first pregnancy resulted in twin sons, and her second pregnancy resulted in twins of different genders, a boy and a girl.

I don't know what these brainless authors are thinking these days. The female lead is either a twin, a boy and a girl, or triplets.

So, are all female protagonists in novels genetically modified to resemble sows?

Does having only one child disqualify someone from being the female lead?

What is the baby in her belly?

Fatty meat or dampness?

The awakened Yun Jin stood up straight.

She wanted to live too.

"I'm drowning! Yun Jin, please pull me out of the water! Please!" Feng Qianqian struggled in the water, swallowing a lot of water. The fear of falling into the water forced her to beg Yun Jin for help.

What bad luck!

Why is someone who was about to jump into the lake not happy about dying?

Why doesn't Yun Jin just die? She's not good enough for He Tingchuan.

All that preparation was for the day, just waiting for Yun Jin to jump into the lake so that she could naturally marry He Tingchuan.

Who knew this woman would suddenly change her mind and cause him to fall into the water.

She was determined not to suffer this injustice in silence.

Feng Qianqian reached out her hand to Yun Jin for help.

Yun Jin wasn't stupid; she saw through her ulterior motives. How could she possibly take any risks?

Yun Jin backed away while reassuring her, "I can't swim either. Hang in there, I'll go find someone to rescue you."

"Yun Jin, come back! Don't go! Just give me a hand..."

Yun Jin ignored her lies. If she didn't leave the crime scene and actually listened to Feng Qianqian and helped her, she would definitely not escape the plot of the novel.
