At night, Yun Jin was woken up by He Tingchuan. She knew that this scoundrel wouldn't be so honest.
Glancing at the little rice cake he had lifted away, Yun Jin felt reassured and continued to entangle with him.
Sweating profusely, He Tingchuan carried her to the bathroom, where they made love again. This time, He Tingchuan was thoroughly satisfied, their lovemaking becoming increasingly intimate and pleasurable. Yun Jin found a comfortable position in his arms.
When Xiao Niangao woke up, Yun Jin was too weak, so He Tingchuan held her and fed her. After feeding her, he played with her for a while, and Xiao Niangao is starting to enjoy talking to people more and more.
If you don't cooperate, I'll pinch your mouth.
Anyway, she's a little temperamental.
It's no longer like the days of just eating and sleeping for a month or two. Now she has her own needs, so you have to be with her and can't be distracted.
He Tingchuan really enjoys playing with Xiao Niangao. He feels a great sense of accomplishment every time he makes her laugh.
The next day, when they were going to He Ximei's house, He's father frowned when he learned that He Tingchuan was going to ride his bike there: "It's so far. I'm not comfortable with you riding your bike with Xiao Niangao. I've already arranged a bike for you."
He Tingchuan never expected to receive such treatment in his lifetime.
Looking down at the adorable baby with big eyes in his arms, He Tingchuan knew that this was all thanks to his daughter.
After getting into the car arranged by Mr. He, Yun Jin held Xiao Niangao's little hand and waved to Mr. and Mrs. He. Mr. and Mrs. He smiled broadly and watched their little car leave before going back home.
He Ximei's home is indeed quite far away, taking twenty minutes by car, and that's without traffic jams. If there's traffic, it would take forty or fifty minutes to get there.
They lived in a tenement building, and the rooms were much more spacious than other people's homes, with each of their two sons having their own room.
When the family of three arrived, He Ximei warmly welcomed them and cooked for them herself. Little Niangao was played with by her two cousins, riding horses and swinging on swings.
Little Niangao really likes her two older cousins. She played with them until she was all sweaty, and when she got tired, she went to find her mother, drank some milk for a while, and then fell asleep.
He Ximei is a good cook, and Yun Jin ate quite a lot at noon.
In the afternoon, He Ximei said she would take them for a stroll nearby, not far from Tongluoguxiang. Yun Jin was happy to go for a walk, and He Tingchuan followed along carrying Xiao Niangao. The little guy was chubby, and he wasn't tired at all carrying him.
Yun Jin looked at those courtyard houses, all of which were full of people.
Yun Jin's eyes lit up: "It would be great if I had the chance to stay in a courtyard house."
He Ximei was puzzled: "What's so great about living in a courtyard house? It's not like only one family can live there. It looks nice from the outside, but it's very crowded inside, and it's full of people. It's just a big tenement."
Yun Jin knew, of course, that He Ximei looked down on her now, but if she were told that these courtyard houses would be worth hundreds of millions in the future, she probably wouldn't be so picky.
Yun Jin naturally wouldn't be foolish enough to expose herself. She smiled and remained silent. When she had money in the future, she would definitely buy one or two courtyard houses to hoard. Even if she didn't live in them herself, she could make a lot of money by selling them at a high price later.
What if Little Rice Cake likes courtyard houses?
Yun Jin wouldn't be stupid enough to miss such an opportunity!
Passing by the antique street, even in this day and age, there are still specialized businesses selling these items, but not many people go to browse.
Yun Jin looked at it curiously and noticed a bracelet that looked very similar to the one on her wrist. He Ximei said, "It has a glass bottom."
"It looks pretty good, I'll try it on!" Yun Jin put it on her right hand, but it was a little too big for her small wrist.
Yun Jin was afraid that it would really be damaged, so she was looking for a replacement. It was a bit big, but it was about the same size as the one she had, so it could be mistaken for the real thing. She bought it for a few cents.
That's right, the glass-bottomed ones only cost a few cents.
The real one she has would cost several hundred or even a thousand yuan on the market now.
In later generations, it would cost six figures to buy.
Today, Yun Jin wore the one Uncle Chen gave her when she went out. The one Aunt He gave her is a family heirloom, which was promised to Xiao Niangao. How could she just bring it out casually?
Besides, she only has two hands; she can't possibly wear jade bracelets on both of them!
Besides the glass-bottomed bracelet, I also looked at other trinkets and bought a pair of rabbit figurines for Xiaoniangao. When she woke up, she hugged the rabbit figurines and wouldn't let go. They became her new toys, and she even took a few bites of them.
Unfortunately, the Rabbit God is made of ceramic, which her little glutinous rice teeth can't break.
In the evening, after playing for a while, they went out for roast duck. Originally, Yun Jin was going to treat them, but He Ximei laughed and said, "How can I let you treat us? I have no objection if you treat us when we go to the garrison."
"I'll do as you say today, sister, and give you face by eating." He Ximei said generously.
Yun Jin didn't stand on ceremony, smiled and nodded, raising her glass and saying, "Thank you, sister, you've gone to so much trouble!"
"We're all family, why are you speaking so formally? Just enjoy your meal!" He Ximei and Yun Jin clinked glasses; they were drinking orange juice.
After eating and drinking their fill, they returned to the courtyard. He's parents were still awake. Seeing that Xiao Niangao was still energetic, they immediately took her and played with her. They asked about their schedule for the day and saw that He Ximei had arranged it well, so He's mother was very satisfied.
When Yun Jin went upstairs, she accidentally stepped on a glass bead and her hand snapped with a crack.
When Mrs. He and the others turned around and saw Yun Jin fall, they panicked: "Are you alright? Are you alright? Did you hurt yourself?"
Before He's mother could even touch her, He Tingchuan had already scooped her into his arms, sat her down on a stool, looked at her bruised knee, and met her pained expression, his heart aching: "Should we go to the hospital?"
"It's alright, thank goodness I wasn't holding Nian Gao!" If she had actually dropped Nian Gao, she would have been incredibly regretful and heartbroken.
Little Rice Cake saw this scene and cried loudly, feeling wronged. She was heartbroken for her mother!
