Chapter 170 Soothing the Child

Men receive more allowances for their missions.

There are rewards for making contributions.

Whether or not there's a reward is unimportant; what matters is her man's influence in the military.

"I don't know, why don't you go back and ask your husband?" Yun Jin said dismissively, then took the child and Xiao Doubao to find Li Aimei to see how her studies were going.

With the college entrance examination about to be reinstated, Li Aimei doesn't have much time left. Yun Jin is urging her to study hard and get good grades on the final exam. Li Aimei is now studying for an hour every day.

Yun Jin checks on her progress every day.

When Li Aimei saw the mother and daughter arrive, she warmly took the little rice cake away and asked, "Sister-in-law, have you eaten?"

"You've eaten, what about you?" Yun Jin asked curiously, noticing the Li family hadn't made a move yet. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing much, my brother isn't back yet. My mom told us to wait until he gets back before we eat," Li Aimei said honestly.

Yun Jin frowned: "If your brother leaves with Nian Gao's dad, he probably won't be back for dinner tonight."

Li's mother immediately said, "Never mind, let's eat first, just leave him a bowl."

Yun Jin shook her head and refused: "I've already eaten, you guys eat."

Looking at Li Aimei, who only ate a bowl of porridge to get rid of her meal, how could she not be hungry at night when she was growing up?

"Sister-in-law gave me too much!" Li Aimei looked at the bag of peach shortbread in her hand and exclaimed that she couldn't finish it.

"Here, share this with your younger siblings." Yun Jin bought several packs of peach shortbread; she couldn't finish them all by herself, and she was tired of them.

She remembers this kindness!
