Chapter 216 Yun Jin Gets Criticized

Mother He prepared a lot of food for Yun Jin and the others to eat on the train.

There are also big chicken drumsticks.

One small rice cake for Xiaoniangao, one for Yunjin, and one for Li Aimei.

It's hot now, if we don't eat it tonight, it will spoil tomorrow.

Yun Jin, who was munching on a big chicken leg, saw a child in front of her. The child looked a little bigger than a small rice cake and stared at her longingly, clearly wanting to eat it.

Yun Jin asked curiously, "Where are your mom and dad?"

The little boy stared at the large chicken leg in Yun Jin's hand: "Meat."

Knowing he wanted to eat, Yun Jin couldn't possibly give him food without the child's parents' consent. She asked, "Whose child is this?"

Upon hearing this, the other passengers in the sleeper car who were still awake looked over.

One of the young women asked, "Xiao Bao, Xiao Bao, where are you?"

The little boy immediately replied, "Mommy, meat!"

The little boy's mother came looking for them after hearing the noise. Seeing Yun Jin and the others eating chicken legs, she smiled apologetically and said, "Sorry, you must be laughing at me. This child is probably hungry."

Yun Jin smiled and took out the remaining chicken leg, thinking how cute the little boy was, and asked Nian Gao, "How about giving it to the little brother?"

Little Rice Cake nodded generously: "Okay!"

The little boy immediately looked at the rice cake, then at the chicken leg, and happily said, "Thank you, little sister!"

The little boy's mother said embarrassedly, "I can't accept this. I brought my own food too."

"I want to eat a chicken leg," the little boy said, but he refused.

The little boy's mother felt embarrassed to take advantage of him and said, "How about we trade your favorite food for your sister's?"

The little boy's eyes lit up, and he ran back with all his snacks, including fruits, candies, and peanuts. The bag was so big that he couldn't carry it all, and a lot of his snacks fell out as he walked.

His mother followed behind, picking them up.

The little boy happily handed the snack bag, which was mostly leaking out, to Little Rice Cake: "Little sister, let's switch!"

Little Rice Cake looked at Yun Jin.

Yun Jin nodded with a smile: "You can choose one."

Little Rice Cake happily picked up a sausage she had never tried before and asked, "Mommy, is this okay?"

"Okay!" Upon seeing the sausage, Yun Jin knew that this family must have come from Northeast China, where sausages are like this, with a distinct Mao flavor.

The little boy got his wish and ate the big chicken leg. He didn't want to go back. He sat next to Xiao Nian Gao, swinging his legs. The two children, who were about the same age, played happily together.

They even went along to feed the little buns and see the puppy. The little boy was extremely envious and said that when he got to his dad's place, he wanted to raise a cute puppy too.

The dog that knows about the little rice cake is named Doubao.

He also wanted to name his puppy, so he named it Dou Ding.

Having witnessed Yun Jin's laziness in naming her dog: "..."

With the children's help, Yun Jin met the little boy's mother, Guan Wei, who was also going to accompany the military. Her husband was in the Southern Military Region, and she was taking her child with her.

Knowing that Yun Jin was also a military dependent, the two had even more to talk about.

The two women mostly talked about the children, and rarely discussed matters concerning the men. After all, there were other people in the car besides the two of them, and it wouldn't be good if they accidentally revealed any crucial information and someone with ulterior motives overheard it.

Guan Wei had to get off the bus midway and transfer to another bus to reach her destination.

The two children ate and slept together, and had a lot of fun. After eating, they played in the carriage and looked at the scenery outside together.

She fell asleep and was then carried away by Guan Wei.

The next afternoon, Guan Wei was about to get off the bus. She took her luggage and led her child off the bus. Little Niangao was reluctant to leave and waved goodbye.

The little boy got off the bus and soon saw the little rice cake doll he was holding in his arms. He remembered something and hurriedly let go of his mother's hand: "Rice cake sister, your doll, rice cake sister!"

The train was making a temporary stop. The little boy, though small, was clever and quick. He ran onto the train and gave the doll to Little Rice Cake: "Little sister, here's your doll back!"

"Thank you, Brother Junjun!" Little Niangao hugged the little doll she had lost and found again. Her father had bought it for her when he took her out to play. She liked it very much, and now it was her precious baby.

Yun Jin saw that the train was about to leave, so she got off with the little boy. But a group of people got on and blocked the way. Yun Jin couldn't squeeze through, and the little boy was also blocked on the train.

Guan Wei was on the verge of tears as she watched the car start moving. Yun Jin could only open the window and let Guan Wei come over: "Quick, catch your son!"

Guan Wei immediately went over, ran a few steps after the train, and steadily caught her son. She glanced gratefully at Yun Jin, and watched the train glide away before accelerating away.

For this incident, Yun Jin was criticized by the train attendant: "That was too dangerous. How could you put the child out of the window? Luckily, nothing happened. What if something had? Don't do that next time. Even if he got lost, we will arrange for him to get off the train at the next station and have a colleague take him to his mother."

Yun Jin obediently accepted the scolding without uttering a single complaint.

Little Rice Cake was also scolded until he shrank back.

Li Aimei didn't dare to speak either.

Yun Jin showed remorse, and the train conductor gave her a lecture before going about his own business.

Little Rice Cake hugged Yun Jin tenderly: "Mommy, are you alright?"

"Mom is fine. Learn from Mom's mistake and don't do anything reckless, okay?" Yun Jin took the opportunity to teach her daughter.

Little Rice Cake nodded solemnly: "I remember, Mom. Mom was just worried that Junjun and his mother would be separated. Mom meant well."

Yun Jin hugged her adorable daughter; her sweetness instantly soothed her.

For the rest of the journey, without the little boy's company, Xiao Niangao was accompanied by her mother and aunt, and she wasn't disappointed. She enjoyed the scenery, ate something, and took a nap before arriving at the destination.
