Once Yun Jin and the others had finished taking their statements, Yun Jin asked, "Can we leave now?"
The woman nodded: "Okay, please be careful on the road. Thank you for your cooperation."
Yun Jin shook her head: "It's good if I can help."
"The clues you provided were very useful. If you hadn't reported it, we wouldn't have known about the robbery so quickly," the woman praised.
Yun Jin smiled, stopped chatting, and took Xiao Niangao to the bus stop.
While waiting for the bus, I saw a group of comrades returning with people; they arrested three of them.
Yun Jin subconsciously covered her face with her scarf and shielded Xiao Niangao's face with her hand. She watched the three people being taken to the police station, frowned, and wondered, "Where are the other four?"
They ran away?
Yun Jin felt uneasy when she recalled that someone had turned around and looked at her and her daughter when they passed each other outside the bank.
The car arrived, and Yun Jin immediately got in with Xiao Niangao.
That evening, Yun Jin heard the radio broadcast and learned that two people had escaped, two had been shot dead, three had been arrested, and the bank had suffered a significant loss.
Yun Jin frowned when she heard the broadcast.
Noticing her unease, He's parents asked, "What's wrong?"
Yun Jin then recounted what had happened to her that day.
Mr. He's expression remained unchanged. Seeing that Yun Jin was still frightened, he reassured her, "Don't be afraid, it's alright. I'll make a phone call and ask."
Yun Jin nodded.
Mr. He made a phone call and then waited for news.
About half an hour later, the phone rang. He's father answered the phone and said to Yun Jin after listening to her, "We've already made a city-wide arrest. These next few days, you don't need to go anywhere except to school."
Yun Jin nodded.
After thinking for a moment, Mr. He took a wooden gun out of the drawer and asked, "Do you know how to drive one?"
Yun Jin nodded.
Father He stroked the wooden cannon affectionately, wrapped it in a handkerchief, and handed it to Yun Jin: "Keep it with you, just in case."
Yun Jin carefully took it: "Okay, thank you, Dad. I'll return the gun to you after the person is arrested."
"Yes!" Mr. He nodded.
After thinking for a moment, he asked, "Did the third brother teach you how to drive a gun?"
Yun Jin nodded: "Yes, when we were at the garrison, he took the time to teach me, saying that his wife couldn't not know how to drive a gun, and I learned it pretty well."
It's mainly because Yun Jin herself was willing to learn.
After all, in the modern world, learning requires money and a legal venue.
Here, Yun Jin doesn't have to pay tuition, and there are professionals who know the ropes. How can you miss this opportunity?
Mr. He knew it was him.
Yun Jin didn't sleep well that night.
I had a nightmare about the person who closed the door, and he opened fire on the little rice cake.
Yun Jin was startled awake: "No, Nian Gao, lie down!"
Little Rice Cake was woken up by the noise, rubbing her sleepy eyes and asking, "Mommy, what's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?"
Yun Jin hugged Xiao Niangao and breathed a sigh of relief after confirming it was a nightmare: "Yes, you had a nightmare. Let Mommy hug you!"
Little Rice Cake comforted Yun Jin: "Mommy, don't be afraid. Nightmares are the opposite of reality. Everything will be alright. I'll stay with you, and we'll fight the bad guys together!"
Yun Jin held the little rice cake for a while before she felt at ease.
The next day, the phone number Yun Jin left was answered.
The person who answered the phone was Mrs. He. Upon hearing that the police station was looking for Yun Jin, Mrs. He told Mr. He.
Yun Jin only realized after answering the phone that she was being asked to identify people.
Yun Jin did not refuse.
Little Rice Cake wanted to go along, but Yun Jin left her at home.
Mr. He wanted to accompany Yun Jin, worried that he wouldn't feel comfortable letting her go alone.
Yun Jin waved her hand: "It's okay, we're not going anywhere else."
Mr. He instructed Yun Jin to bring the gun.
Yun Jin patted her canvas bag, boarded the bus, and left.
It was the same police station as yesterday, and the woman was waiting for her at the door.
Yun Jin wasn't sure if it was just her imagination, but she always felt like someone was watching her.
Yun Jin looked back curiously, but didn't see anyone. She suspected that she hadn't slept well last night.
Based on the eyewitnesses present, seven portraits were drawn, and Yun Jin was asked to confirm if they were correct.
After all, only Yun Jin had seen the faces of the two people who ran away.
Yun Jin looked at the criminal sketches, her gaze sweeping over the portraits of several people. Based on her vague memory, she corrected the appearance of two fugitives, making the sketches clearer and easier to identify.
Seeing that everything was alright, Yun Jin asked, "May I go now?"
"Thank you for your cooperation!" The female officer saw Yun Jin out of the police station.
Yun Jin didn't linger and went to the nearby bus stop.
She wasn't having much luck today. She waited quite a while before the bus she needed arrived. There were still a few people waiting. Yun Jin waited for the bus to stop before queuing up to board.
Just then, something pressed against my lower back.
At the same time, a warning voice came from behind: "Listen to me if you don't want to die."
Yun Jin paused, not expecting to be targeted so quickly.
It's not a misperception; someone really did boldly squat outside the police station, walking right into a trap.
Yun Jin's expression changed. Under the driver's gaze, she paid and got into the car, walking inside. The person following her also paid and found a seat inside, sitting next to Yun Jin.
At the same time, passengers are advised to get off at Yun Jin San Station.
The bus was crowded, and people were all wearing many layers of clothing, so no one knew that the assailant had a weapon hidden in his sleeve.
Yun Jin had nowhere to turn for help and could only watch helplessly as the bus drove away from the police station.
The thug saw through her thoughts and warned her, "Behave yourself, no one can save you."
Yun Jin sat there obediently, nervously and fearfully clutching her cloth bag under his gaze, her little hand reaching inside to touch the self-defense weapon given to her by Father He.
