“Okay.” He Ziqian nodded.
Once he's out of danger, he won't let them control him.
Fei-ge saw through his thoughts: "You little rascal, you're probably lying to me, aren't you?"
He Ziqian solemnly swore: "I, He Ziqian, will never break my promise, or may I be struck by lightning."
"Do you think I'd believe that?" Fei Ge said, tossing a package to He Ziqian: "Eat this, and you can take the mother and child away."
He Ziqian recognized what it was; it was something he would rather die than touch.
He Ziqian regretted it; he shouldn't have taken the risk alone.
My aunt is right, they're just waiting for us to come to them.
He Ziqian was scared, but he appeared calm on the surface: "I want to see them, mother and son."
Fei Ge waved his hand, and Zhang Juan and her son, who looked like they had been abused, were pushed out. The mother and son looked quite frightened. He Ziqian immediately went over and asked, "Are you alright?"
Zhang Juan thought He Ziqian wouldn't come, but to her surprise, he did: "Thank you for coming. I'm sorry, I've dragged you into this."
Knowing Fei Ge's purpose, and glancing at the things lying on the ground, Zhang Juan deliberately lunged at him, her lips moving as she uttered two words in a voice only the two of them could hear.
He Ziqian thought he had misheard.
As they were talking, Fei grabbed Zhang Juan's hair, and she screamed in pain.
Fei Ge grinned mischievously: "Have you thought it through? If not, let her liven things up for you."
He Ziqian stared intently at Zhang Juan.
Zhang Juan glanced at him, then looked away.
Fei Ge looked at the two exchanging glances and laughed angrily: "I didn't expect this bitch to have some skills, that you would risk your life to save her."
Zhang Juan lowered her head and didn't say anything.
He Ziqian grabbed the packet of medicine on the ground and asked, "If you take it, will you release the mother and child?"
"Yes!" Fei Ge promised.
After struggling for a moment, He Ziqian, in front of Fei Ge, poured everything into his mouth with a death-defying resolve.
