Chapter 305 Going to Kindergarten

Now, the He family is always bustling during the Spring Festival. On the second day of the Lunar New Year, He Ximei goes back to her parents' home with her children. With three more children, it's quite lively.

He Ximei, who was bound by her daughter, handed the child over to her mother and privately encouraged her, "Xiaoyun, I haven't seen your disco yet. Since we have time today, why don't we go and have some fun?"

Seeing that He Ximei was feeling stifled, Yun Jin readily agreed, handed the little rice cake over to He's mother, and took He's sister-in-law and the others to the disco.

Little Niangao, always following the adults around, immediately cried out as soon as the adults left: "I want to go too! I want to go too! If you don't take me, I won't eat dinner tonight, I'll starve myself to death!"

This threat is useless against Yun Jin, but very useful against He Tingchuan.

Upon hearing that his daughter wanted to starve herself, he immediately picked her up and looked at Yun Jin with the same pleading eyes as her, making it impossible for her to refuse.

In the end, Xiao Niangao definitely went with them. She even hugged her father and kissed him twice, her little mouth as sweet as honey. She coaxed her father into peeling melon seeds and peanuts for her, taking such good care of her.

He Ximei thought to herself, if her daughter, Xiao Tangyuan, were this well-behaved, her life would be worthwhile.

It was He Ximei's first time at a disco. Her eyes lit up as she watched the people dancing. She had loved dancing since she was young, and she would immediately learn the simple moves as soon as she saw them. Soon she couldn't stop dancing.

Brother He and his friends weren't used to such noise. When they saw He Ziqian chatting up a pretty girl in the crowd, they were so angry that they grabbed him and said, "You'd better behave yourself. If you're going to have fun, then have fun. Don't cause any big trouble."

He Ziqian nodded obsequiously, "Dad, don't worry, I know what I'm doing, nothing will happen."

Brother He didn't believe it.

Yun Jin arranged the booths with the best view for them. The He family played at the disco for a while, but the eldest brother and his family couldn't stand it anymore and left early because they found it too noisy.

He Ximei had so much fun that she didn't go back until almost dark.

Yun Jin noticed that He Ximei liked disco dancing, so she gave her a 20% discount card, which would give her a 20% discount when she came to the store in the future.

He Ziqian later learned that he was the only one in the family with a 10% discount card.

Winters in Beijing are too cold, and so is early spring. There aren't many places to go for fun. Besides watching movies and ice skating, now there's also a disco.

Customers flock to the place every day, but many are not allowed to enter. Many complain that Yun Jin's disco is too small, and they are not allowed to enter and spend money when there are only a few people.

Right after the Chinese New Year, everyone was happy to spend money, and the store's turnover was almost as high as it was during the first few days after the opening, and even higher.

When He Tingchuan was in Beijing, he and his wife would come to the disco every day. Seeing that Yun Jin was managing the disco very well, he felt relieved.

When He Tingchuan was about to return to his post, Li Aimei thought for a moment and asked He Tingchuan to take fifty yuan back to Li Aimei. He also bought them a new set of clothes, and Li's mother also had a cotton-padded jacket.

Yun Jin looked at Li Aimei, who was spending money and effort on her family, and said nothing.

The money is hers; she can spend it on whomever she wants.

Not everyone can break free from their family.

Yun Jin and Xiao Niangao saw He Tingchuan off at the train station. Xiao Niangao was already used to it, but she still couldn't help but hug He Tingchuan, reluctant to let him leave, saying that he might not be able to go to the garrison to accompany his father during the summer vacation.

He Tingchuan asked, "Why?"

"Does Daddy want me to go?" Little Rice Cake asked.

He Tingchuan nodded.

Little Rice Cake laughed and said, "Then I'll persuade my mom to take me. She's very busy now that she owns a disco."

Yun Jin was both amused and exasperated: "Don't worry, even when Mom is busy, she will make time to visit your father. Your father is the most important person; money can never be earned enough."

These words immediately made He Tingchuan beam with joy, his eyes filled with tender affection as he looked at her, regretting not working an extra shift the night before.

Yun Jin reminded He Tingchuan to be careful and to call her if anything happened.

He Tingchuan nodded and told Yun Jin to take care of her health, emphasizing that making money was important, but her health was even more important.

After watching the train leave, Yun Jin and Xiao Niangao leisurely went home.

On the Lantern Festival, the disco business was even better. Yun Jin stayed at the store to watch over it, while Xiao Niangao was left at home with Aunt He, knowing that the store was too busy to look after Xiao Niangao.

Little Niangao waited patiently, and even made glutinous rice balls with her grandma. Yun Jin ate the glutinous rice balls that Little Niangao had made herself, smiled and gave a thumbs up, her emotional value at its peak.

After the Lantern Festival, university classes resumed.

With everyone back at work, the disco, which had been bustling all winter break, has become quiet.

On weekends, it's packed with people again.

When Xiao Niangao took Yunjin to school, she saw other children carrying their schoolbags. Seeing Yunjin staring at them, Yunjin asked, "Do you want to go to kindergarten to play too?"

Little Rice Cake's eyes lit up, but then, as if remembering something, her gaze dimmed considerably: "Grandma said I won't go to kindergarten until I'm five."

“If you want to go, Mom can take you ahead of time.” Yun Jin knew that Xiao Niangao lived in the compound and basically hung out with Aunt He. The other children were all in kindergarten, and not many kids played with her.

Seeing her daughter's longing, how could Yun Jin bear to do it?

"What will happen to Grandpa and Grandma if I go?" Little Rice Cake wondered.

Mrs. He smiled and said, "Your grandparents are waiting for you to get out of school at home, and your grandmother picks you up from school every day."

Mr. He nodded: "Grandpa will buy you something delicious."

Little Rice Cake looked at Yun Jin: "Mom, if I go to kindergarten, I can take the college entrance exam, right?"

Yun Jin nodded affirmatively: "Yes!"

Little Rice Cake happily announced loudly, "Okay, I'm going to kindergarten!"

Yun Jin agreed.

On her first day of kindergarten, Yun Jin even took a day off to go to school with Mr. He and the others.
