Before bed, Yun Jin had a heart-to-heart talk with Xiao Niangao, asking her if she had fun at kindergarten.
Little Rice Cake whispered, "Mommy, I'm telling you something, but don't tell anyone, the food at kindergarten isn't good. I like Grandma's cooking!"
Yun Jin hugged Xiao Niangao tenderly: "Does Grandma know?"
"Grandma knows! Grandma said I'll just grab a quick bite at kindergarten for lunch, and she'll cook me something delicious when I get home tonight!" The pampered little rice cake was so proud of herself!
Yun Jin kissed her: "Mom can eat delicious food with Nian Gao when she comes back tonight!"
Little Rice Cake thought to herself, "Mom, you should eat more. The food at school isn't very good, so you should eat a little bit too. We'll eat Grandma's cooking when we get home tonight. Grandma is a great cook, and there's meat in it."
Yun Jin understood; the school food didn't have any meat, so it wasn't tasty.
That's true. Not every family is like Mother He, willing to spend money on food. When the monthly meat coupons weren't enough, she had to ask others to exchange them for more, just in case her children went hungry.

This prompted a group of people to ask He's mother when Xiaodoubao would have puppies, saying that if she did, they would take one home to raise.
Mother He was both amused and exasperated: "Our Doubao can't have a baby; it's a male."
Doubao: "Woof!"
I love female dogs, hee hee!
The weekend arrived quickly. Yun Jin didn't have time during the week because of work, so she would go to the disco on the weekend when she didn't have classes. She was going to the disco on the weekend because Xiao Niangao had made plans with her kindergarten classmates, who were coming over to play.
Yun Jin had to go by herself, while Xiao Niangao stayed home to play.
When Yun Jin arrived downstairs at the disco, there was already a long queue; the disco was open for business.
In the crowd, Wang Ling saw Yun Jin and called out, "Yun Jin, you really came! Perfect timing! You said the disco is your place, so why don't you let us all in?"
Faced with Wang Ling's provocation, Yun Jin rolled her eyes at her and said, "Those people are from our school? Raise your hands!"
The twenty-odd students from the same school who came to visit raised their hands, all looking at Yun Jin expectantly.
After confirming the number of people, Yun Jin said, "You all go to the front and just go in!"
Some alumni were skeptical: "Really?"

These words were spoken to the greeters, but also to the other people in line.
After all, they are alumni, so they can definitely use connections to get them in early.
Although some people had complaints, Yun Jin just ignored them and listened to them without thinking.
Wang Ling watched as other alumni entered the store so easily, and she and her roommates immediately followed, only to be stopped by Yun Jin: "Excuse me, you need to queue."

"We came here to patronize your business, and this is how you treat us?" Wang Ling retorted defiantly.
Yun Jin waved her hand: "I have plenty of customers willing to patronize my business, and I don't care about you few. If you want to come and have fun, you can queue up. If you don't want to, you can leave. I don't care."
Wang Ling's expression darkened: "What's so great about it? It's just a disco. Even if I had money, I wouldn't let you make any."
Yun Jin shrugged and scoffed, "You talk as if your few cents could make me rich overnight."
"You, you, you..." Wang Ling's face turned red and white in turns, and finally she left angrily with a few roommates.
After watching them leave, Yun Jin spotted He Lifang in the crowd and waved to her.
He Lifang came over excitedly.
Yun Jin looked at the little girl in her patched clothes, and then at the other people who were out playing, all dressed in clean and tidy clothes. She knew that He Lifang was a little out of place.
Yun Jin didn't say anything, but smiled and told He Lifang to follow her into the store. She said to the greeter, "This is my friend. You don't need to stop her from coming in the future."
The greeter nodded.
He Lifang blushed, feeling as if she were being treated with great respect.
