Chapter 35 Husband, Save Me

When Sister-in-law Gao saw Yun Jin and He Tingchuan return from outside, she asked in surprise, "Weren't you sleeping?"

Yun Jin gave an awkward smile and lied, "I...I went to the restroom."

Sister-in-law Gao stopped asking questions, nodded to He Tingchuan as a greeting, and began preparing lunch. Since Commander Gao had diarrhea last night, he would have porridge and a light meal for lunch.

He Tingchuan glanced at the lock that was indeed open, then looked at Sister-in-law Gao, knowing that it wasn't her who helped him, otherwise he wouldn't have asked her if she was sleeping.

It looks like they hired someone else.

He Tingchuan was about to go and find out who they were looking for when Yun Jin asked, "Is the cafeteria open right now?"

He Tingchuan knew she was hungry, so he took the lunchbox and went out, saying, "I'll go check the cafeteria. Don't wander off."

Yun Jin smiled and nodded: "Go quickly, make a lot more. I feel like your daughter has a big appetite."

He Tingchuan: "..."

He's still just a kid!

So that he doesn't get his hopes up for nothing.

They keep saying "daughter," but what if a boy is born? They can't just throw him away.

Yun Jin was unaware of He Tingchuan's thoughts. After watching He Tingchuan leave, she wiped the small table where the two of them had prepared to eat. Seeing that the curtains were drawn, she knew that He Tingchuan had drawn them so that she could rest.

Yun Jin drew the curtains again, preparing to hang up the mosquito net. Looking at their bed, for some reason, Yun Jin's eyelids felt incredibly heavy, and she instantly felt sleepy, as if she was about to fall asleep right away.

Realizing something was wrong, Yun Jin pinched her thigh in a panic. The pain jolted her back to her senses, and she was so frightened that she dared not go near the bed, fearing that she would be pulled into sleep and lose consciousness.

As expected, the power of a master plotteller is terrifying.

Yun Jin was afraid she would lose control, so she immediately went outside, not daring to sleep, to talk to Sister-in-law Gao.

Sister-in-law Gao's family had already eaten lunch and started washing the pots and pans, doing so quickly as if they were afraid someone would come and freeload.

"Sister-in-law, you finished eating so quickly?"

Sister-in-law Gao nodded with a smile: "Your family will be ready soon too. I saw Commander He go to get his food. I heard the canteen has some good dishes today, including braised fish."

Yun Jin's eyes lit up: "I like to eat fish."

"Commander He will definitely catch fish for you, so you should go back and wait. I'm going to wash up and get ready for my afternoon nap, so I won't chat with you anymore." Sister-in-law Gao was afraid that Yun Jin would disturb her afternoon rest.

Upon hearing the word "sleep," Yun Jin's eyelids drooped, and she felt like falling asleep in an instant.

Seeing that the person had suddenly dozed off, Sister-in-law Gao immediately nudged her and said, "You're sleepy. Go back to sleep. Pregnancy is hard work. I was so sleepy when I was pregnant."

As Sister-in-law Gao kept uttering the words "sleep" and "tired," Yun Jin's eyelids felt incredibly heavy, and she was about to collapse on the spot when Sister-in-law Gao immediately helped her up: "Hey, hey, hey, don't faint! Someone come here, Lao Gao, come and help quickly."

Yun Jin, desperately battling the plot, bit her tongue hard with her last bit of consciousness. The pain made her gasp, and seeing the couple frantically helping her back to bed, she shook her head repeatedly in fright: "No, no, no, I won't go back."

"I'm right outside, I don't..." I didn't dare say the word "sleep" out loud, I didn't even dare to think about it, just thinking about it made me feel even sleepier.

Sister-in-law Gao and the others were completely bewildered, looking at Yun Jin who absolutely refused to go back, not knowing what to do.

Just then, He Tingchuan returned with the food, and Sister-in-law Gao exclaimed as if she'd seen a savior: "Commander He, come quick! Your wife seems a bit off. Tell her to go home..."

Before Sister-in-law Gao could finish speaking, her mouth was covered by a small hand, and Yun Jin's eyes showed resistance: "Don't say it, please don't say that word, you guys go back, I'm fine!"

He then let out a loud yawn.

Sister-in-law Gao blinked, looked at the extremely sleepy Yun Jin, and removed her small hand from Yun Jin's mouth: "Are you alright?"

Yun Jin denied it and shook her head, forcing herself to cheer up: "It's nothing, it's nothing, thank you for your help."

Aunt Gao was worried. Seeing He Tingchuan stride upstairs, she didn't interfere since her husband was there. She gave He Tingchuan a look that said, "Keep an eye on your wife," and signaled to Commander Gao to go back and rest.

Yun Jin continued to fight off sleepiness, pinching her thighs until they were almost raw, but the drowsiness kept coming, making her wish she could fall asleep instantly.

Upon seeing He Tingchuan, Yun Jin rubbed her eyes sleepily and asked, "What delicious food did you get?"

"Tomato and egg, braised fish, stir-fried bean sprouts, cabbage and tofu..." He Tingchuan frowned as he looked at the person whose eyes were almost closed: "Are you sleepy? Why don't you take a nap later?"

Yun Jin: "......"

God's Milk!

Was this sent by the author to assassinate me?

"Eat first, then sleep." He Tingchuan didn't realize he was hitting Yun Jin's sore spot by saying two fatal words. Yun Jin couldn't take it anymore, and suddenly went limp and fell into a deep sleep.

Startled, He Tingchuan nearly dropped the lunchbox. He hurriedly scooped the person into his arms and frowned as he looked at the unconscious person.

He Tingchuan supported the person with one hand, placed the lunchbox on the table, and intended to take the person to the hospital. He then saw the person in his arms suddenly open their eyes, their gaze vacant and lifeless, looking like a dead fish.

She stiffly got up from his arms, and without saying a word, she lifted her foot to go out and walk downstairs.

There was nothing He Tingchuan didn't understand; he was having another episode.

He Tingchuan grabbed her with his large hand and pulled her back. Looking at the sleepwalking person in front of him, he tentatively called out, "Yun Jin?"

Yun Jin did not react.

He Tingchuan called out again, "Yun Liye?"

Yun Jin remained unmoved.

He Tingchuan tentatively asked, "Where are you going?"
