Chapter 353 Didn't Tell the Truth

In the morning, Yun Jin made an appointment with Sister-in-law Gao to go to the city to buy clothes together.

Normally, Sister-in-law Gao doesn't have time to go out, but now that she has company, how can she not go out for a stroll?

He Zizhen and Gao Min had common topics. Knowing that He Zizhen had taken the college entrance examination, Gao Min admired her very much. The young girls had so much to talk about when they got together.

Once they arrived in the city, she took them to a store to buy clothes. Yun Jin told them to pick whatever they wanted, and she would pay for it.

Sister-in-law Gao didn't stand on ceremony with Yun Jin and picked out an outfit for each of the children in the family.

Gao Min took a fancy to a dress, and she and He Zizhen each picked one out. They looked very youthful and beautiful, but their hairstyles were a bit messy, so Yun Jin suggested they get a haircut.

As for Sister-in-law Gao, Yun Jin had her get her hair permed, and her previous style was ruined.

Following Yun Jin's advice, Sister Gao got her hair permed and asked the stylist to hurry up because she was going to lunch.

When it was lunchtime, Gao's wife hadn't finished cooking yet. Yun Jin, the hostess, didn't wait for her. She took a group of children to the state-run restaurant and bought Gao's wife a bowl of pork noodles so that she wouldn't go hungry.

Brother Gao didn't see his wife; he knew she had gone to get her hair permed. He didn't know how to complain.

Yun Jin explained, "Sister-in-law works so hard, it's okay for her to dress up occasionally. Brother Gao, you can't say anything to her. Look at my family, no matter how I dress up, my husband doesn't say anything."

Brother Gao wouldn't dare say that. Right now, Sister-in-law Gao is the one who earns the most money in the family. If she quits, Brother Gao will be heartbroken.

You can earn tens or even hundreds of yuan a day by setting up a stall!

Brother Gao dared not anger his wife.

Brother Gao waved his hand: "No, no, our family is the same as yours, your sister-in-law is the one who calls the shots."

He Tingchuan was not ashamed but rather proud.

He Tingchuan is happy that his wife is willing to take care of the family!

He Tingchuan would be even happier if his wife called him every day to check up on him.

Unfortunately, his wife trusts him too much, calling him once or twice a week, which is unlike him at all.

When He's parents and their entourage arrived, Yun Jin arranged for them to sit down, and the dishes were served quickly, all of them substantial dishes.

The children sat at one table, and Yun Jin and the other adults sat at another; two tables were booked.

Little Rice Cake wanted to join in the fun, so she went with He Zizhen and the others.

Yun Jin was relieved, but He Tingchuan was still a little worried, as if he was afraid his daughter would go hungry.

He Zizhen took good care of her younger sister, giving her all the good food she could find.

Yun Jin did not invite Li Aiguo to this dinner party.

Wang Xiaoting knew that Li Aiguo hadn't been invited, and the other woman got angry: "What's going on? Aren't you the best of friends? Why weren't you invited? I heard that even Division Commander Li went. Such a good opportunity! If you had shown your face, wouldn't you have been able to say a few words to the division commander?"

Li Aiguo didn't care: "It's not like I'm the one treating, why do I have to go?"

"What do you know? You don't go out to socialize and just stay at home every day. With so many regimental commanders stationed here, who would remember you?" Wang Xiaoting said anxiously.

Li Aiguo remained unmoved: "As long as I do my job well, train my soldiers well, and do my own thing, that's enough."

"You..." Wang Xiaoting's chest ached with anger: "Do you want to be the regimental commander for life?"

Li Aiguo remained silent, thinking that being a regimental commander for life wasn't so bad.

Li's mother was also unhappy: "It must be that woman Yun Jin's doing this on purpose. She never neglected my son before, but now she's not calling you. She's just not happy with me and is deliberately targeting you."

Li Aiguo suddenly realized something: "Mom, did you go to Beijing to cause trouble for them?"

Li's mother denied it: "I didn't. Why would I cause them any trouble?"

Seeing her mother's shifty eyes, she knew she was guilty: "I'll call Aimei later. Don't think you can hide it from me."

Upon hearing that she needed to make a phone call to confirm, Li's mother could no longer hold back and recounted the grievances she had suffered and the loss of 1,500 yuan.

Li Aiguo was shocked: "Tao Shao?"

Wang Xiaoting was dumbfounded: "It was stolen? How could you put them together? You really are..."

Li's mother's heart was bleeding: "I never expected that person to be so arrogant and forcibly steal it. I went to find Nian Gao's mother, but she wouldn't help me at all. If she had helped me, we definitely could have gotten it back."

Li Aiguo laughed angrily: "It's not like she stole it, how could she get it back? Mom, you're being too unreasonable."

Li's mother denied it, saying that she always believed in blaming others more than herself.

"Besides this, is there anything else?" Li Aiguo pressed.

Li's mother refused to admit that she had threatened suicide to extort 10,000 yuan from Yun Jin, shaking her head and saying no.

No matter how Li Aiguo asked, he kept saying no.

Li Aiguo believed it to be true, saying that calling Li Aimei was a lie and that he didn't even know Li Aimei's phone number.

Since being kicked out, Li Aiguo knew that his younger sister wasn't as close to him as before.

He felt terrible, but there was nothing he could do.

The thought of Li Aiguo's mother forcing her younger sister to give her 1,500 yuan made him want to beat her up, if it weren't for the fact that she was his own mother.

That's so annoying!

They ate and drank at the state-run restaurant, and even brought some good wine. Father He and Commander Li almost got drunk. It was rare for the two old men to get together, so they had to drink a few more cups.

After they had eaten and drunk their fill, He Tingchuan took his parents home. Yun Jin took the children to find Sister-in-law Gao. Sister-in-law Gao had her hair done; her fluffy curls made her look much more stylish.

Yun Jin smiled and showered Gao's sister-in-law with compliments, making her feel embarrassed.

Looking at the color in Yun Jin's hair, Sister Gao said enviously, "I asked the shop, but they don't have your color."

Yun Jin smiled and said, "I brought it from Hong Kong. I'll bring you a tube next time I go."

Sister-in-law Gao said expectantly, "I want this color."

“Okay!” Yun Jin nodded.
