When they had almost finished eating, Mrs. He asked, "How's business at the shop?"
"That's enough, you can let go now." Yun Jin asked, "Are you going back?"
Mr. He nodded: "Yes, an old friend of mine has passed away, and I need to go back to see him off on his final journey."
Yun Jin nodded: "Okay, we'll leave tomorrow."
Mr. He said, "You guys stay a few more days, your mother and I will go back first."
“No need, we’ve had enough fun. If we want to go back, we’ll go back together.” When Yun Jin said this, He Tingchuan looked at her with a hint of resentment.
In private, Yun Jin said to He Tingchuan, "My parents are getting old, and I'm worried about letting them go back alone."
"I know you'll miss me, but I've graduated now, so I'll have plenty of time to come see you later. I'll come whenever you miss me," Yun Jin promised.
He Tingchuan couldn't believe it: "Really?"
Yun Jin nodded in agreement.
He Tingchuan knew that he wouldn't feel comfortable letting his parents take the train back either, what if they were being watched?
The train is a bit chaotic right now, and he's worried about letting Yun Jin go back alone.
Fortunately, they had sleeper tickets; if they had seat tickets, He Tingchuan would have insisted on going back with them.
That night, Yun Jin personally persuaded He Tingchuan to willingly send them onto the train.
He Tingchuan watched their car drive away before turning his gaze away.
Little Rice Cake, with tears in her eyes, said, "Daddy is so pitiful being left here all alone. When can we come back to visit him?"
"Mommy will bring you when you miss Daddy a lot in the future!" Little Rice Cake is in kindergarten now, not elementary school, so it doesn't matter if she takes leave, as long as she is willing to take her along.
