Chapter 444 Full Moon Banquet

The full moon celebration was held at the Dai family's own hotel. Yun Jin and the others could go downstairs to the third floor of the hotel to attend the banquet. Gifts and red envelopes were all prepared.

The Dai family is large and influential in the port city. People from both the political and business circles came to attend this full moon celebration, mainly because the old man is getting old and he wants to attend as many events as possible.

Yun Jin and the others don't need to enter through the main gate, so they won't be photographed.

Those political and business celebrities are always in the news and entertainment section.

Yun Jin and the others were upstairs eating melon seeds.

Mr. and Mrs. He are quite low-key. They came here today as Lin Wenfang's family members. They won't even take a photo together, so as not to let the photo get out and be used against them.

Yun Jin and the others sat together, and since they were being entertained, they didn't feel neglected.

One after another, many guests arrived at the hotel that had been booked out, and they exchanged pleasantries with each other.

After everyone was seated, Lin Wenfang came out holding her son. After a month of confinement, Lin Wenfang had recovered well and looked radiant. The couple seemed to be in good spirits, with smiles on their faces the whole time.

On Yun Jin's side, at some point, Little Charlie had already sat down next to Nian Gao.

Little Rice Cake turned around, saw Charlie, and smiled, "Brother Charlie, have you seen your little brother?"

Mrs. He smiled and corrected, "He's not a little brother, he's a little nephew. Charlie is of a higher generation."

Little Niangao didn't understand, but there must be a reason why Grandma said that. She asked again, "Have you seen your nephew?"

Charlie nodded: "You want to see?"

Little Rice Cake nodded, then shook her head: "Mom will take me later."

Charlie decided not to make any arrangements: "Why didn't you wait for me when you left Hong Kong last time?"

"Ah, my mom took me with her. She said our visas expired and we couldn't stay any longer," Little Rice Cake laughed. "Brother Charlie, if you want to see me off at the airport this time, I'll wait for you!"

Charlie nodded in satisfaction and gave a small box to Little Rice Cake.

Little Rice Cake asked curiously, "What is it?"

“Open it and take a look,” Charlie gestured.

Little Rice Cake opened the gift box, revealing a beautiful crystal ornament inside: "Is this a swan?"

Charlie nodded: "You said you'd never seen a swan before, so I bought you a crystal one. You can look at them more often if you want!"

"Wow, thank you, Charlie!" Little Rice Cake excitedly slid off the chair, hugged Charlie, and smiled happily.

Charlie, who was being hugged, blushed and a rare look of shyness appeared on his face: "Sit down properly."

Little Rice Cake chuckled and showed the little swan to He's parents, Yun Jin, and He Zizhen, making Charlie blush with embarrassment.

Charlie's mother, watching this scene from a distance, clicked her tongue twice and said to Dai's father, "Look at your son. He's so young, yet he already knows how to give gifts to the girls he likes. When he grows up, I'm not worried that he'll be cold-hearted, unlikable, or unable to get along with girls. I think our son is quite good at winning over girls."

Dai's father: "......"

After socializing with other political and business figures, Lin Wenfang finally managed to break free and greet Yun Jin and the others: "Sorry to keep you waiting!"

Yun Jin said, "It's alright, you go about your business, we have people to take care of things here."

Lin's mother smiled and said, "Come here quickly, let me see my little grandson."

Lin Wenfang picked up her son and looked at him, who was becoming more and more like Dai Yaozong's son. Lin Wenfang didn't expect that he still wouldn't grow any bigger. Everyone says that sons resemble their mothers, but it was all an illusion before.

The child now resembles his father.

If you were like her, you would be much more delicate.

He's not as good-looking as his father; he didn't inherit the good genes from his parents.

Yun Jin also went over to take a look and prepared a little golden pig for him: "This child is so cute with his chubby cheeks. Congratulations, Sister Lin."

Lin Wenfang touched Xiao Niangao's face: "It's a pity it's not a daughter. When I was pregnant, I was thinking how wonderful it would be if I had a daughter like Xiao Niangao, so I could personally teach her to dance."

"Your son is good too. He and your brother-in-law will protect you together in the future," Yun Jin praised.

I know that people are never satisfied; once they have a son, they want a daughter, and once they have a daughter, they want a son.

Fortunately, she had a daughter and didn't want a son. One child is enough; if she raises her well, one child is worth ten.

Lin Wenfang chatted with them for a while, and then the banquet began.

Mr. Dai went on stage to speak and thank everyone for coming.

Dai Yaozong appeared with his wife and children and also expressed his gratitude on stage.

By this time, the dishes had been served, and the scale of the banquet was clearly lavish, with all sorts of delicacies on the table. Yun Jin had certainly broadened her horizons.

It was her first time eating at a banquet in Hong Kong, and it was indeed lavish. Each person had one abalone, and they were even sweet-hearted; there was simply no way she could finish them all.

The little rice cake didn't like it after taking one bite.

Yun Jin thought it tasted good, but after finishing the whole thing, she actually felt a little greasy.

Little Rice Cake couldn't finish her food and whispered, "Mom, can we pack the abalone to take home for Doubao?"

That's right, it's inconvenient to bring Doubao with me this time, so I had to leave it with the aunt next door to take care of it.

Thinking that Doubao is home alone, Xiaoniangao wants to pack up any delicious food she can find for Doubao.

Yun Jin shook her head: "No, we can't pack the food back. If you want to give it to Doubao, Mom will buy some dried goods when she goes back, and then Doubao can try them out."

"Alright!" Little Rice Cake nodded regretfully, looking at Charlie who hadn't eaten much abalone either: "Brother, don't you like it either?"

Charlie nodded: "I don't like it!"

Little Rice Cake whispered in her ear, "I also think it doesn't taste good."
