It was Gao's sister-in-law who called Yun Jin to tell her that Li Aiguo and Wang Xiaoting were getting a divorce.
Sister-in-law Gao called Gao Min and then Yun Jin. When they talked about the incident at the compound, she learned what had happened: "It's all about the car. They say Li Aiguo is incompetent. Everyone else has bought a car, but he has nothing."
Yun Jin: "......"
“Li Aiguo is doing great. He takes care of the kids, picks them up and drops them off, hands over his salary, and either cooks at home or goes to the cafeteria to get food. Wang Xiaoting isn’t busy at all.”
"Many people say Wang Xiaoting is ungrateful and can't stand seeing you all doing well. She's forcing Li Aiguo to leave the military early and take a temporary position in a local area so he can make money," said Sister Gao. "Money isn't that easy to earn!"
"Putting everything else aside, if it weren't for you guiding me, I wouldn't be able to sell barbecue. I know that barbecue can make money, but it's still hard-earned money," Gao's wife complained.
Yun Jin reassured her, "Who says otherwise? I make money by opening a shop, and I've invested quite a bit of my own money. She thinks she can strike it rich by going into business, but it also depends on whether she has the right tools!"
"Exactly!" Sister-in-law Gao agreed. After complaining to Yun Jin for a while, Sister-in-law Gao said, "I made some salted duck eggs today and sent some to you. Remember to pick them up later."
"Sister-in-law's salted duck eggs are delicious, thank you!" Yun Jin wanted to eat salted duck eggs.
Sister-in-law Gao was pleased that her efforts were appreciated and asked, "Are you coming to the post this summer vacation?"
Yun Jin smiled and said, "Of course I'll go. We'll get together again then."
Sister-in-law Gao smiled and nodded, "Okay, I'll be waiting for you."
The salted duck eggs arrived; Gao Min delivered them to Yun Jin. He's mother invited her to stay for dinner, but Gao Min declined, saying she had a part-time job at a fried chicken shop.
Yun Jin drove her there; she happened to be going to the fried chicken shop.
When Gao Min arrived at the store, she immediately started working, cleaning the tables, and doing whatever the store manager assigned her.
While cleaning the table, a glass of soda was accidentally spilled, covering a customer. The customer, who had a fiery temper, yelled, "How are you doing your job? You've gotten my clothes dirty! What are we going to do now?"
This wasn't the first time Gao Min had encountered customers like this; it happened at her barbecue restaurant as well, where people would come looking for trouble when business was good.
Some people wanted to freeload, saying the barbecue was unsanitary, with flies and mosquitoes.
Having seen her mother handle things before, Gao Min calmly apologized and offered a solution, saying she could help clean it and that she hadn't done it on purpose, showing a sincere attitude of remorse.
The man who had originally intended to cause trouble felt embarrassed to continue harassing Gao Min, so he accepted her offer of a free meal next time, or to pack up the same food and leave now.
Seeing that he could pack it up, the man did so and took it with him. Who knows if they'll still deny it in a couple of days?
The store manager praised Gao Min's handling of the matter and even gave her a compliment when Yun Jin came to inspect the store.
Yun Jin smiled and continued praising the staff, telling them to learn from Gao Min: "First, if it's our fault, sincerely apologize and don't offend the customer. If you encounter..."
Before she could finish speaking, a lewd guest grabbed Gao Min's buttocks as he left, a sly expression of smug satisfaction on his face.
This move caught Yun Jin and Gao Min off guard, and both of them were taken aback.
The others were also taken aback.
Yun Jin was the first to react. She strode forward and, before the scoundrel could leave the store, grabbed his shoulders and arms, pulled him over, and slapped him across the face.
With a loud slap, the man was stunned.
Gao Min also realized what was happening.
Other customers in the store looked over curiously.
Then Yun Jin directly dislocated the scoundrel's arm: "Where the hell are you grabbing? You're acting like a hooligan in my shop. Don't you want your hands anymore? Does your mother know how lewd you are?"
"You filthy scoundrel!" Gao Min kicked the filthy scoundrel twice in anger.
The thug, who had been kicked, yelled, "Help! This big shop is bullying its customers! They're hitting people for no reason! This shop is a rip-off!"
"You black-market shop, my ass! You're groping a woman and you think you're right?" Yun Jin punched him, leaving him with a black eye.
Another punch landed, and blood streamed down his nose.
He actually denied it: "I didn't, I didn't, you're slandering me!"
Gao Min was so angry she almost cried: "You grabbed my butt and you still say we're slandering you?"
"Did I arrest you? Do you have any evidence?" the scoundrel said righteously.
Gao Min indeed had no evidence.
Yun Jin grabbed the hair of this scoundrel to show him that slander was useless. Just then, a pleasant voice rang out from the side: "I... I can testify that he behaved like a hooligan. He bullied that girl."
Yun Jin looked in the direction of the voice and saw a clean-cut boy who looked like a grown man stand up and testify righteously: "Even if you call the police, I can testify that I saw it and that he was bullying people."
The scoundrel: "..."
Yun Jin sneered, her fists hardening even more.
Gao Min felt she had been proven right, and she looked gratefully at the clean-cut young man: "Thank you, comrade!"
"You're welcome. I just happened to see it. You did nothing wrong; the problem lies with him." The man said with an upright expression.
Yun Jin thought to herself that this young man had a good moral compass and a promising future.
Gao Min blushed with embarrassment. After thanking Yun Jin, she followed her to take the scoundrel to the police station. They couldn't just let him get away with it.
When the police arrived, the scoundrel complained that Yun Jin had injured someone and demanded compensation for medical expenses and lost wages, asking for 10,000 yuan right off the bat.
Yun Jin laughed angrily: "This is extortion. Do you know what happened to the last person who tried to extort me?"
