Yun Jin blinked, her eyes adjusting to the night. Looking at his bright eyes and clearly visible handsome face in the darkness, she couldn't help but be moved: "Are you serious?"
He Tingchuan nodded.
“Then you should get a tubal ligation; I’m not getting an IUD.” Yun Jin didn’t want to go through that ordeal.
She'd love for the child not to be born.
She doesn't want to suffer.
Without a second thought, He Tingchuan nodded: "Okay."
That sound seemed to strike her heart.
Yun Jin's eyes welled up slightly. Afraid that he would see her momentary emotional outburst, Yun Jin lay down with her back to him and said, "I'm sleepy, I'm going to sleep."
He Tingchuan didn't say anything, but continued to massage her legs with his large hands until she kicked her legs to indicate that it was enough. Then he lay back down and said, "Go to sleep. I'll schedule the surgery tomorrow."
Yun Jin turned around excitedly: "Isn't it a bit too early?"
"Since I don't have any missions lately, I can have the surgery sooner and recover sooner," He Tingchuan decided.
Yun Jin hesitated for a moment: "You won't regret it?"
He Tingchuan shook his head: "No regrets."
Yun Jin couldn't hold back any longer and leaned closer to him, pressing her lips to his: "He Tingchuan, don't worry, I will treat you well from now on. My child and I will treat you well."
The scent of soap wafted over, and her soft, warm lips made half of He Tingchuan's body go numb. Looking at the woman approaching, He Tingchuan could no longer hold back. His eyes gleamed, and his large hand, which had been squeezing her calf, lifted the back of her head and pressed her against him.
Yun Jin blinked and gave him a firm kiss.
The next moment, she closed her eyes, and in the darkness, their lips met for the first time, their breaths mingling. His strong heart pounded, and Yun Jin nestled in his arms, impossible to ignore.
......
The next day, Yun Jin woke up to find it was already broad daylight.
Everyone around me had already run away.
Yun Jin couldn't help but savor the memory of last night's kiss. If it weren't for the slight pain in her lips, she would have almost thought she had a wonderful dream about kissing He Tingchuan.
She wanted to savor the experience a little longer, but unfortunately, her bladder couldn't handle it. In the later stages of her pregnancy, she finally experienced the pain of frequent and urgent urination that pregnant women suffer from. She struggled to get up and, with her big belly, went to relieve herself.
By the time she finished her work, He Tingchuan's pork offal noodles were also ready.
From afar, she could smell the aroma and see the person carrying a large vat of pork offal noodles returning. Yun Jin, clutching her belly, went to greet him: "It smells so good! It's exactly what I wanted to eat. Thank you, my husband!"
He Tingchuan was stared at by her smiling eyes, her bright, watery eyes filled with joy. He almost didn't know where to put his hands and feet, his gaze falling on her slightly swollen lips.
He Tingchuan's ears were burning.
Thinking back to last night when she was lying on top of him and he accidentally bit her, the image was so beautiful that He Tingchuan couldn't help but relive it.
Now that he's met the real person, He Tingchuan's heart is racing uncontrollably.
One look from her could throw a person into a panic. He had never felt this way before. He wondered if it was because he was too tired from the train journey that he felt like his body was out of control.
It seems that a full-body check-up is required before surgery.
Early detection and early treatment.
"You're up?" He Tingchuan's voice was slightly hoarse.
Yun Jin smiled and nodded: "You got up very early? Did you sleep well last night?"
He Tingchuan's ears turned red. How could he have slept well last night? After she fell asleep, he took a cold shower.
He never expected a kiss to be so powerful. He rinsed for a long time but couldn't suppress the heat, and in the end he had to do it himself.
Thinking of this, He Tingchuan almost spontaneously combusted, and awkwardly avoided her gaze: "It's fine."
Yun Jin saw through his act but didn't say anything. His expression didn't suggest he was sleeping well.
There's nothing she can do right now, so she can only let him endure it!
When the pork offal noodles were served, He Tingchuan took a bowl for himself, picked out the pieces that were his, and left the rest for Yun Jin. She could finish what she couldn't eat herself.
Now that she's almost nine months pregnant, Yun Jin doesn't have much of an appetite. She can only eat small meals frequently. Today, instead of taking the larger portion, she brought over the bowl that He Tingchuan had picked out: "You eat the larger portion. I don't have much of an appetite right now."
He Tingchuan asked nervously, "Are you feeling unwell?"
Yun Jin pointed to her big belly: "Your daughter has squeezed my stomach, making it smaller. It can't hold much food, so I can only eat small meals frequently."
He Tingchuan, a first-time father, only then realized that a woman's appetite would decrease in the later stages of pregnancy. He couldn't help but reach out and touch her big belly, his eyes gentle and his handsome face charming: "Daughter, make way for your mother so she can eat more."
The little one has become less active this month and isn't as lively as when Yun Jin first came into the world.
Seemingly aware that her father was talking to her, the usually quiet little brat actually moved slightly, whether it was her foot or her little fist, she nudged the spot He Tingchuan was touching.
He Tingchuan, who could clearly feel it, looked at the bulging curve of her belly in disbelief.
Yun Jin smiled and said, "Your daughter is so happy to know you're back!"
He Tingchuan's lips curled up as he looked at her moving belly and asked expectantly, "May I hear it?"
Yun Jin nodded generously.
He Tingchuan smiled gratefully, leaned closer, pressed his ear against his belly, and felt the movements inside. He seemed to hear gurgling water sounds, having heard that babies are always immersed in amniotic fluid.
He Tingchuan realized upon hearing this that it was true.
As if his ear had been kicked, He Tingchuan's eyes lit up: "She's a lively little girl."
"Who knows, it might be a lively little rascal!" Yun Jin wasn't sure either. To be honest, the one in her belly was indeed quite lively and mischievous, just look how much it was pushing against her belly.
If you didn't know better, you'd think he was doing somersaults!
