Chapter 88 Surprise Gift

Before Yun Jin went to sleep, He Tingchuan gave her a package.

"What did you buy for me?" Yun Jin was surprised, not expecting him to have suddenly become so perceptive as to buy her something.

He Tingchuan's lips curled slightly upward, suppressing his emotions, and he said calmly, "Take a look and see. If it's not suitable, I'll..."

Before she could finish speaking, Yun Jin deftly and nimbly opened the cloth bag, revealing the sweater inside. Yun Jin raised an eyebrow, curiously unfolding it to take a look: "So beautiful!"

He Tingchuan pursed his lips, feeling happy inside, but said with a smile, "You can wear it if you get cold."

"Thank you, I like it very much, I'll wear it tomorrow." Yun Jin touched the soft and warm sweater, and then looked at the color scheme of the sweater, which was similar to the sweater she had planned to knit before.

Yun Jin looked at it and felt it looked more and more familiar: "Don't you think the knitting, the color scheme, the size, are very similar to the sweater I didn't finish?"

No way?

I remember I had only knitted one neck and shoulder piece when I went to give birth and go into postpartum confinement.

Could it be that I knitted it in my dream?

The more Yun Jin thought about it, the more something seemed off, so she decided to look for her unfinished yarn.

He Tingchuan pulled the person back: "No need to look, this is your sweater."

Yun Jin was completely bewildered: "When did I finish knitting this?"

He Tingchuan turned his face away, refusing to look at her: "I knitted it."

Yun Jin thought she had misheard: "What did you say?"

He Tingchuan's ears turned red, and he said awkwardly, "It's exactly what you heard."

As Yun Jin watched the red cloud gradually climb onto He Tingchuan's handsome and aloof face, she realized that she hadn't been hallucinating. Others had fairy godmothers, but she never expected that she would have a fairy godmother husband.

The next moment, Yun Jin hugged He Tingchuan's slender waist with joy and emotion: "Wow, what a wonderful husband I married! You actually finished knitting it! Oh, it's so great! I was wondering how long it would take me to finish knitting it!"

He Tingchuan felt embarrassed by her enthusiastic hug. Luckily, it was late at night and no one was passing by. Their house was also closed, so no one would know they were hugging and cuddling. He patted her back with his large hand and asked, "So happy?"

Yun Jin nodded affirmatively, looked at He Tingchuan with bright eyes, and beckoned to him.

He Tingchuan lowered his head.

Before he could react, Yun Jin tiptoed and kissed his lips, her arms moving from around his waist to around his neck, her body hanging softly and bonelessly around his neck: "I'm so happy, so very happy. I'll knit you a sweater next time."

Fearing she wouldn't be able to finish, He Tingchuan offered to lighten her load: "I've got the sweater, but you need a vest. Why don't you knit me a little vest?"

"Great!" With two fewer sleeves, it should be much simpler.

Yun Jin secretly vowed to finish knitting the vest before the New Year.

He Tingchuan lowered his eyes and looked at the beautiful woman in front of him. He couldn't help but nuzzle her forehead. Yun Jin noticed his joy and kissed him first, then kissed him again. After giving him a good hint, He Tingchuan took her red lips in his mouth and deepened the kiss.

The two kissed for an unknown amount of time. Just as He Tingchuan felt he was about to take a cold shower again, Xiao Niangao burst into tears.

The young couple immediately gathered around their little rice cake, one checking if its diaper was wet.

A little rice cake-shaped nose, confirming she wasn't pouting, so she wasn't hungry.

The examination revealed that Xiao Nian Gao had pooped.

Yun Jin couldn't stand Xiao Niangao's stench, so He Tingchuan told her to pour a basin of hot water, wash and dry Xiao Niangao, and then change her diaper.

After being washed clean, Little Rice Cake became a sweet and soft little cutie again. She returned to her mother's arms and was gently held. He Tingchuan used the water from washing Little Rice Cake's bottom to wash the diaper clean and then hung it outside to dry.

By the time He Tingchuan finished his work, Xiao Niangao had fallen asleep again.

At this age, children are either sleeping or eating and drinking; they are rarely awake.

In just one month, Xiao Niangao has changed a lot, becoming more and more adorable and beautiful, and looking more and more like He Tingchuan. Everyone who sees her says that the father and daughter are practically identical.

After putting Xiao Niangao to sleep, Yun Jin hid behind the curtain, put on the sweater He Tingchuan had knitted, and showed it to He Tingchuan: "How is it? Does it look good?"

Upon hearing this, He Tingchuan looked up and saw Yun Jin, with her red lips and white teeth, wearing a sweater he had knitted himself. She looked gentle and beautiful, with exquisite features, and exuded a sense of approachability.

He Tingchuan's heart skipped a beat. He couldn't take his eyes off Yun Jin, who was posing in front of him, and his eyes were full of admiration: "She looks good, fits you perfectly, and this color suits you very well."

"Thank you for knitting this sweater by hand. I love it and I'll wear it for the rest of my life!" Yun Jin happily promised.

He Tingchuan almost couldn't suppress the urge to smile, and couldn't help but promise, "If you like it, I'll knit you another one later."

"Okay, I'm looking forward to it!" Yun Jin touched the sweater with great affection, reluctant to take it off.

He Tingchuan advised, "It's not good to sleep in a sweater at night, and you still need to breastfeed. You can wear it tomorrow."

Yun Jin thought about it and agreed. She could only reluctantly take it off and put it aside, as if she was afraid of damaging it, which made He Tingchuan happy.

At night, Yun Jin lay down next to He Tingchuan, with Yun Jin on his left and their daughter Nian Gao on his right.

Since the birth of the child, He Tingchuan has basically been the one to put the baby to sleep. Yun Jin is a restless sleeper, and He Tingchuan is worried that she might accidentally crush their precious little rice cake.

Yun Jin was more than happy to have someone help her take care of her.

"Is this sweater a postpartum gift you prepared for me?" Yun Jin was a little excited tonight because she received a surprise gift. She couldn't sleep and wanted to talk to He Tingchuan.

He Tingchuan nodded: "Mm!"
