“Since Sister-in-law Gao asked you to do this, go back and ask Gao Min.” He Tingchuan hugged his wife, looking satisfied. “That girl admires you. If you ask her, she definitely won’t hide anything from you.”
Yun Jin raised an eyebrow: "How do you know Gao Min admires me?"
He Tingchuan didn't hide anything: "It was Brother Gao who said that Gao Min said during the New Year that she wanted to learn from you, make a lot of money in the future, and become a boss."
Yun Jin smiled: "You have good taste."
Yun Jin and Xiao Niangao stayed at the camp for a week, mainly because Xiao Niangao had to go to school. Apart from the long winter and summer vacations, there weren't many holidays on weekdays, so Yun Jin had to take Xiao Niangao back.
He Tingchuan smiled as he saw them off onto the plane. Only after watching the plane carry the mother and daughter away did He Tingchuan return to his post to continue his work, looking forward to the next time he could reunite with his family.
After Yun Jin and Xiao Niangao got off the plane, He Zizhen came to pick them up.
He Zizhen, driving Yun Jin's car, said, "Auntie, over here! I've come to pick you up!"
Yun Jin gave a thumbs up: "Not bad, not bad, they even dared to set off."
He Zizhen smiled shyly: "Thanks to the opportunity for me to practice driving, Auntie. Don't worry, I will drive slowly."
Yun Jin sat in the passenger seat and fastened her seatbelt.
Little Rice Cake sat in the back, peeking out to watch her older sister operate the machine: "Go, sis!"
He Zizhen raised an eyebrow confidently: "Don't worry, I'll definitely get you home safely."
It's safe, but the car is driving too slowly.
I'm not very skilled with the clutch; when I release and tighten it, the car jerks.
Yun Jin: "......."
Seeing her skill, Xiao Nian Gao silently sat back down and fastened her seatbelt.
He Zizhen smiled awkwardly: "You flatter me, I'll just drive it a few more times."
Yun Jin patiently comforted her, "That's right, just open more doors."
He Zizhen chuckled, sweat beading on her forehead. When she got out of the car, her legs felt weak; driving wasn't so fun after all.
However, now that I have my driver's license, I'll definitely be driving more often.
In the car, Yun Jin didn't dare ask the novice driver too many questions, afraid of distracting her and affecting her driving.
Now that they're home, Yun Jin asks, "Does Gao Min have a boyfriend right now?"
He Zizhen shook her head: "No, but a young man has taken a liking to her. I think that young man is not good enough for her. I reminded her twice, but I don't know if she listened."
"Oh?" Yun Jin raised an eyebrow.
When Gao Min was working her part-time job on Sunday, Yun Jin went to see her.
Gao Min was very happy to see Yun Jin. Yun Jin gave her the things that Gao's sister-in-law had brought and asked about her life, saying, "I heard you're dating someone?"
Gao Min's face flushed: "No, I don't want to be in a relationship right now."
"I guess someone misread it. It's okay. You're an adult now, so it's fine if you're dating. If you are, you can introduce me to someone. Don't be shy, I won't break you up."
Gao Min was both amused and exasperated; "What are you saying, Auntie? You're the best."
Thinking of something, Gao Min said, "However, there are people pursuing me, but I don't like them so I haven't agreed to date them. When I meet someone I like and want to start a relationship, I'll ask my aunt for advice."
"Okay, I'll wait." Yun Jin felt relieved.
Gao Min said that if there was no problem, then there probably wasn't.
That's true. It's normal for a guy with high aspirations to be interested in someone as outstanding as Gao Min.
It's normal for her to refuse.
After returning home, Yun Jin called Sister-in-law Gao and told her, "Don't worry, sister-in-law. I'm not dating anyone. I rejected some people who were pursuing me because I didn't like them. She also said that if she likes someone, she will bring him to meet me so I can check him out."
Hearing that her daughter was so sensible, Sister-in-law Gao was relieved. She chatted with Yun Jin for a few minutes, then went to greet the guests and said she would talk to them another time.
Yun Jin didn't expect that she would receive a call a few days later that Gao Min had been hospitalized.
When Yun Jin arrived at the hospital, Gao Min had her arm in a sling and her face and forehead were covered in medicine. Yun Jin asked, "What happened?"
Upon seeing Yun Jin, Gao Min looked aggrieved and on the verge of tears: "Auntie!"
Yun Jin hugged her: "Don't cry. Tell me who bullied you."
Before Gao Min could speak, a sharp and unreasonable voice rang out: "You've come at the perfect time. My brother can't be hurt for nothing. He's our family's precious darling, and now he's burned like this. Don't even think about letting this go."
Yun Jin turned around, looked at the fierce-looking girl, and raised an eyebrow; "Who is your brother?"
“Him.” The girl, who was not to be trifled with, pulled the person who was cowering to the side over. His arm was covered in blood and flesh, clearly burned. It had already been treated with medicine, but it looked horrifying.
Yun Jin knew him; he was a young man who worked at the store, the one who had talked to Gao Min and even pulled her around.
Upon seeing Yun Jin, the young man lowered his head in embarrassment, avoiding eye contact with her, appearing timid as a mouse.
Yun Jin ignored the siblings. Gao Min asked, "Did they bully you?"
Gao Min nodded: "He harassed me, and even though I refused, he wouldn't leave me alone. He told others that I was his girlfriend."
Yun Jin looked at the siblings and said, "Did you hear that? My niece said you two were being unreasonable. Now that you've beaten her up like this, you still have the nerve to accuse her first?"
"What do you mean by 'the guilty party accuses the innocent first'? If she weren't my brother's girlfriend, why would she always smile at my brother, talk to him, go to and from get off work with him, and ask my brother to boil water for her?"
Gao Min denied it: "I didn't ask for it. I said I didn't need him to bring hot water. It was just his wishful thinking."
"My brother bringing you hot water is a favor, and you, a country girl from out of town, are still not satisfied and even complain. What's wrong with my brother?" The more she thought about it, the angrier she became, and she was about to hit him.
Yun Jin coldly rebuked, "Try touching her."
