He Tingchuan followed closely behind, holding the child, his eyes filled with joy and gratitude. He looked at Yun Jin with tender eyes and said, "You've worked hard. It's a little girl."
"Do you like it?" Yun Jin found out about the birth of her daughter an hour earlier than him.
As I guessed, it was a daughter.
He Tingchuan nodded emphatically, his joy barely concealed: "I love her. Our little girl is so cute, she looks just like you. She just glanced at me, and she knows I'm her father!"
"That's right, don't you even know who gave birth to him?" She got a little excited, which made her wound hurt.
Yun Jin's eyes instantly reddened: "He Tingchuan, childbirth is so painful, sob sob. Your daughter is quite chubby. Her belly doesn't look big, but she weighs 6.3 pounds. She's a chubby girl. She almost killed me with pain."
He Tingchuan held her slightly cool little hand, feeling both heartache and guilt: "I've made you suffer. When she's older, I'll make sure she takes good care of you and listens to you. She can't have suffered like this for nothing."
Yun Jin nodded in agreement, then grabbed his large hand in return: "Keep a close eye on our little girl, don't let anyone take her away. They all have sons, what if they see our daughter is cute and take her away?"
Startled, He Tingchuan immediately hugged his daughter tightly. He was tall and strong, with broad shoulders and long arms, and could hold the swaddled blanket steadily with one hand. Anyone who tried to snatch it would have to think twice.

He Tingchuan didn't want anyone to disturb his wife's rest, but he was also worried about leaving his wife alone in the ward. He also couldn't bear to put down his daughter, so he had to keep both hands busy, pushing Yun Jin's hospital bed with one hand and carrying their little daughter with the other, to find the doctor and ask to change to a special care ward.
The doctor, whose ward was so crowded that they had to arrange for patients to sleep in the hallway, was speechless.
