Upon hearing the word "dungeon," Jiang Zao and Jane quickly asked the man to lead the way.
Calling it a dungeon is an understatement; it's more like an air-raid shelter.
It's unclear which era it dates back to, but the surrounding stone walls are covered in moss, the ground is damp, and a pungent, musty smell wafts through the air.
"Boss, he's over there."
Jiang Zao and Jane followed.
Inside a stone house, many boys and girls were chained together, their clothes tattered.
The youngest looked to be only three or four years old, while the oldest was over twenty. They were all barely clothed and had some injuries on their bodies.
“It’s very common for slaves to be bought and sold here. They were probably bought by the Kun family, or they were stockpiled to be sold at a high price on the black market.” Jane seemed to know a lot about the situation here.
Jiang Zao looked around and her gaze was drawn to the oldest young man.
His white shirt was long, he wasn't wearing trousers, and he was clean from head to toe except for some mud on the soles of his feet.
He looked up at me, his gaze deathly calm.
"!"
Jiang Zao opened her eyes wide in disbelief.
"Lu Min!"
The young man showed no reaction, seemingly having long forgotten his own name.
“Lu Min”.
Jiang Zao walked over and carefully examined the object, confirming that she had not made a mistake.
"I am Jiang Zao, Lu Min, you...you're not dead?"
Lu Min seemed not to understand Jiang Zao's words. When he saw someone coming, he started to take off his clothes.
His movements were slow, but fortunately he didn't have any terrible scars on his body.
Jiang Zao quickly pressed his hand down, "Lu Min, you don't need to do this. I'm Jiang Zao, Zheng Xiao's good friend. Do you still remember Zheng Xiao?"
Lu Min's unfocused gaze gradually focused. He seemed to have not spoken for a long time, and his speech was very slow, "Xiao... Xiao?"
"Yes, Xiaoxiao, do you still remember her?"
Lu Min seemed to have thought of something and shifted back slightly. "No... I can't let Xiaoxiao see this..."
Jane walked over. "You know him?"
Jiang Zao asked Jane's men for clothes and said to Jane, "I'm taking him back to China."
Jane had someone remove the chains from Lu Min's body.
Now that he was free, Lu Min began to take off his clothes again.
Although he was only wearing that thin white shirt and a pair of sexy underwear.
Jiang Zao simply wrapped the borrowed clothes around his body.
"Lu Min! You don't need to do any of this. You're free now. I'll take you home right now and take you to see Xiao Xiao."
Lu Min kept shaking his head: "No, I won't see... Xiaoxiao..."
His speech and movements were very slow, which seemed very abnormal.
Jiang Zao entrusted him to someone else to take out, and then continued the search.
"Aci isn't here." Jiang Zao and Jane searched twice but found nothing.
Jane's expression was cold and stern, and from a certain angle, she bore a striking resemblance to Fu Yanci.
"Find them! Everyone, disperse and find them at all costs. If you encounter any resistance, kill them on the spot, regardless of the reason," Jane gave the order.
This is in the Golden Triangle; it's common for a few people to die.
Jiang Zao had accompanied Zheng Xiao once before, and that time she was on the verge of death, barely managing to return home safely.
Gunshots rang out continuously outside. Jiang went out of the cellar and searched the houses he saw.
"Fu Yanci!"
"Aci!"
"Aci, I've come to take you home!"
At this moment, Fu Yanci was lying on the ground in a house not far away, his hands and feet bound.
The Kun family and the Sha family sat facing each other at opposite ends.
"This is the Third Master of the Fu family, a very influential figure in Lincheng, China. Using him would be enough to open up the market in Lincheng. But he was captured by our Kun family. What are you Sha family doing here?"
The speaker was the second son of the Kun family. "You bastard who even killed his own brother dares to negotiate with me? I'm putting my cards on the table today. We'll split the business 50/50. Otherwise, I'll kill him right now, and nobody will get this benefit."
The people behind the Sha family patriarch all raised their guns and pointed them at Fu Yanci.
boom!
A shell blasted into the doorway.
The second son of the Kun family glared at the head of the Sha family: "You old scoundrel, you want to double-cross me and do it too, don't you?"
For no apparent reason, the two sides started fighting.
Fu Yanci struggled toward the door.
"Aci!"
Jiang Zao finally found the person. Seeing his clothes soaked in blood, her heart ached and her nose stung with tears.
Now was not the time for reminiscing, so she quickly untied the ropes from his clothes.
Jane said expressionlessly, "Take him with you, I'll cover your retreat."
This was Fu Yanci's first time facing Jane directly, and he kept turning back to look at her, his heart filled with endless thoughts of her.
Amidst the upheaval in the Golden Triangle, with various factions vying for territory, no one paid attention to the loss of a few slaves or the escape of a hostage.
Jane immediately dispatched a helicopter to send Jiang Zao and the others back to China.
On the plane, although Lu Min was dressed, he seemed slightly wary of everyone. If you talked to him, he would start taking off his clothes. This behavior seemed to have become a muscle memory for him.
“He should see a psychologist,” Jane said, turning around.
Jiang Zao was treating Fu Yanci's back wound, which had become infected and required the necrotic tissue to be removed before medicine and bandages could be applied.
Fortunately, Jane was well-prepared, even having anesthetic, otherwise Fu Yanci would have really suffered a lot.
Looking at the blood-stained gauze, Lu Min turned pale and kindly reminded Fu Yanci.
