Eric turned around, his eyes wide with surprise.
"You're faking it!"
Fu Yanci raised his knife and brought it down: "Remember, never give your weapon to just anyone, not even a child."
Even on his deathbed, Eric felt he had been wronged.
He spent all his time hunting geese, only to have one peck his eye at him.
As expected of the Third Master of the Fu family, he plays the role of a child so convincingly.
Fu Yanci searched Eric thoroughly, stuffing anything useful into his pockets. Then he left the stone house, looked around, and found a relatively secluded spot to wait.
At the same time, Eric sent out several text messages from his phone.
What are we waiting for?
Soon, the person he was waiting for appeared.
In the dead of night, the short man returned under the cover of darkness.
"Come out." His voice sounded all the more jarring in the desolate and silent night.
The vocal cords must have been injured.
The man stood calmly in front of the stone house, lit a cigarette, and puffed out smoke, without even glancing at Eric's corpse inside.
"As expected of the heir of the Fu family, he fooled everyone. He played the child quite well, and he was ruthless." the man said.
Fu Yanci stopped hiding and stepped out of the darkness.
The two were now only five steps apart.
Each of them had one hand behind their back.
There's always the possibility of them taking action.
“My men are all around here. Even if you kill Eric, you won’t be able to escape.”
Fu Yanci always felt that the person in front of him was strange, with a kind of eerie and unsettling familiarity.
"Aren't you going to avenge your companions?" Fu Yanci asked.
He didn't sense any killing intent from this person at all.
The man chuckled, his features obscured by swirling smoke.
"Just a reckless fool, not worthy to be my companion."
Fu Yanci gained a new understanding of the relationship between the two.
It seems that Eric has been manipulated all along, and the real dominant force between the two is the man in front of him.
Perhaps even the crimes committed by Eric were instigated or tacitly approved by this man.
"You clearly intended to destroy the Fu family with the bomb before, but now you've only kidnapped me. What, are you short of money? How about we make a deal?" Fu Yanci was testing the man's bottom line little by little.
But as soon as he said that, his words were seen through.
The man tossed his cigarette aside: "You think you can trick me into telling you anything? You're too green. Once I get the money, I'll release him immediately. I mean what I say."
The sound of the propeller grew louder as it approached, the wind it generated rustling through the surrounding trees and ruffling Fu Yanci's hair.
The helicopter descended and dropped a rope ladder and a package.
The man gripped the rope ladder and said, "There's enough food inside to last you three days. We'll meet again."
The helicopter quickly took the man away.
In the darkness, Fu Yanci watched the man's figure grow smaller and smaller until it became just a black dot and disappeared completely.
He opened the package on the ground.
There is water and food inside.
It was just enough for him to last three days, no more, no less.
The next second, Eric's phone rang in his pocket.
It was a text message.
[I forgot to tell you, I've blocked the signal on this phone. All your SOS messages have been intercepted. Enjoy these rare three days of peace and quiet on the island.]
Fu Yanci never expected that the man would even monitor Eric's phone.
It seems he doesn't trust anyone.
...
The next day, just as dawn broke, Xia Chuwei was dragged out of bed.
The actions were extremely violent.
"Jiang Zao!"
Xia Chuwei felt that Jiang Zao after her rebirth was simply a madman.
"Are you out of your mind?!"
Jiang Zao didn't care about anything else. She turned around, opened the wardrobe, grabbed a set of clothes, and threw them at Xia Chuwei's face.
"Get dressed in one minute, then come with me, or I'll beat you up."
Xia Chuwei: "..."
She was actually a little scared.
She's actually afraid of Jiang Zao, that burden!
However, she genuinely believed that if she didn't do as she was told, Jiang Zao would really beat her up.
After quickly getting dressed, Jiang Zao dragged Xia Chuwei off the bed, pulled her out of the Jiang family home, threw her into the car, and floored the accelerator, driving her away.
No one from the Jiang family intervened during the entire process.
The servants even made way for them and opened the main gate.
Xia Chuwei was so angry she wanted to kill someone.
She didn't comb her hair, wash her face, or even brush her teeth. She had never been so bare-faced since her teenage years.
Moreover, the red and green combination of her clothes was simply awful.
All of this is thanks to Jiang Zao.
Where exactly are you taking me?
Xia Chuwei only asked one question, and Jiang Zao's car speed increased.
It was so fast it made my heart race, and I instinctively wanted to reach out and grab something.
"Jiang Zao, are you crazy? If you want to die, don't drag me down with you!" Xia Chuwei shouted frantically.
Finally, the car stopped.
Jiang Zao's calm yet disdainful gaze fell on Xia Chuwei: "You're so noisy."
Xia Chuwei didn't say anything, she just pushed open the car door and vomited violently.
She hadn't eaten breakfast, and after vomiting, her stomach cramped, and she looked pale with discomfort.
But as soon as I looked up, I realized that I was actually in South Bay.
Moreover, Jiang Zao wasn't the only one around.
Rong Shi, Jiang Jinfeng, and a large number of police officers.
Everyone looked at her with surprise.
Xia Chuwei really wanted to strangle Jiang Zao right now!
That burden must have deliberately tried to embarrass her!
Jiang Zao got out of the car, slammed the door shut, and asked, "Where did you find Mom? Can you point her to the location?"
