Chapter 561 Trap

Qin Bai did not continue to persuade him.

Having known Wanzhou for several years, I had long since figured out his temperament.

This person is incredibly stubborn.

Once they've decided on something, they'll stick to it no matter what.

He feared that he would lose everything in his struggle against the Luo family, even his life.

so.

He is waiting.

If his brother were in real danger, he wanted to try and see if he could save his life.

Even if there's little hope.

He still wanted to give it a try.

They say fools have good fortune; he could be that fool, or he could hand over this good fortune to Qin Bai.

It's very rare for someone to risk their life for another in this society.

but.

Who knows?

If Qin Bai ever needs his help, he can be the first to step forward, just make sure he doesn't hold that girl back.

There are some things that brothers don't need to say aloud; it's enough that they understand each other in their hearts.

The same applies to Zhou Lin and Wu Wenbo.

Did they not know the dangers of coming to Kyoto?

Actually, it wasn't Qin Bai who called them. Instead, after discussing it, the three of them quietly abandoned their management positions and came on their own.

Snowflakes fell relentlessly on the navy blue scarf, and my phone vibrated.

Qin Bai took it out and glanced at it.

Text message alert: A blizzard will ravage Kyoto in about ten hours.

Qin Bai tightened his collar.

This godforsaken place.

There's nothing good about it.

He prefers Geumsan City.

Perhaps there are no towering buildings or mountains there to block out the blizzard.

But.

Life isn't about waiting for the blizzard to pass, but about learning to dance in the blizzard.

At that moment, a dozen or so people wearing work clothes and safety helmets stood in the middle of the street, with yellow warning signs placed on the ground.

Wan Zhou asked, puzzled, "Is the road closed?"

"It seems so."

"They look like municipal workers, repairing roads in the dead of winter, are they crazy?"

Qin Bai glanced at the shopping mall in the distance and frowned slightly.

My luck isn't great today.

They were several dozen meters apart but could not cross each other; the median strip completely blocked their way.

Wanzhou asked, "What do we do now? Should we take a detour?"

"That's the only way. I remember there's a shopping mall over there. Let's go take a look."

Qin Bai walked towards the street next to him with his hands in his pockets.

A dozen minutes later.

The two entered a shopping mall.

A wave of heat almost made Wanzhou want to take off his shirt.

"Are there so many people here?"

"Kyoto is the same everywhere, it's a place that produces a lot of things." Qin Bai didn't think much of it, and the two walked towards the luxury goods section.

Suddenly, a little boy ran out of the coffee shop with an ice cream cone in his hand.

When Qin Bai saw it, it was too late to dodge, and he bumped right into his pants.

The little boy sat down on the ground with a "plop," the milky white ice cream standing out against the dark fabric.

The sudden turn of events left the little boy dumbfounded. He stared at the severely deformed ice cream cone in his hand, his lips curving downwards.

He suppressed the urge to cry, got up from the ground, and looked at Qin Bai tremblingly.

"Big brother, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to."

Qin Bai sighed.

Indeed, today is not a good day to go out; nothing is auspicious.

He smiled and patted the little boy's head: "It's okay, I..."

Before he could finish speaking, a woman in her thirties, dressed as a waitress, ran out of the coffee shop.

"Xiao Lu, are you alright?"

The woman ran over and squatted down next to the little boy, looking him up and down repeatedly.

"Mom, I'm fine, it's just..." He pointed to Qin Bai's pants.

The woman then realized that her expression changed drastically when she saw the expensive suit.

Having worked in the shopping mall for a long time, I have a good understanding of some luxury goods.

She immediately bowed and said, "Sir, I'm so sorry, it was my son's carelessness. I will find a way to compensate you."

Qin Bai laughed nonchalantly, "It's not that serious. It's just that I accidentally got some ice cream on my pants. Maybe it's a blessing for these pants. After all, no other pair of pants has ever received such treatment."

A joke eased much of the worry on the mother and son's faces.

"You must be joking. How about this, I'm a waiter at this restaurant, please come in and I'll help you."

Qin Bai looked down and realized that it really needed to be dealt with, otherwise this thing on his pants could easily cause misunderstandings.

"Okay, could you please get me some tissues? I can wipe myself down."

"Please come with me."

The woman led the little boy into the coffee shop.

The moment her hand touched the handrail, Qin Bai's face showed surprise, and he stopped in his tracks.

Wan Zhou looked at him, puzzled: "Why aren't you leaving?"

"Ha! I really should have checked the almanac before I went out today."

"What's wrong?"

Qin Bai said calmly, "Go call Gu Zichen and tell him to come over as soon as possible."

Wanzhou sensed something unusual.

"Is it dangerous inside? Then don't go in, let's leave now."

Qin Bai shook his head: "They went through all this trouble to lead us here, it would be too impolite to leave now."

Wan Zhou said urgently, "Then I'll go in with you."

"It's not that dangerous. Don't forget this is a shopping mall. We live in a society governed by law. They won't dare to make a move openly. So don't go in. Wait for Lao Gu outside."
