Chapter 57 Feng Yaoyao (3) Friends

For a long time afterward, Shen Muyao would come over to keep me company every day after school.

The timing is not fixed, sometimes early and sometimes late.

She hardly spoke, just sat quietly beside me.

I was just a little curious. Isn't she usually very busy? How does she have time to spend with me?

Until one day I saw the scars on her arm.

"What happened? Did someone bully you?"

"No, it was an accidental scratch."

I looked at it carefully and confirmed that it was definitely a scratch, and a very forceful one at that.

"Shen Muyao, what exactly happened?"

"fine."

"If you don't tell me, you don't need to come and keep me company anymore."

"Why?"

She tilted her head in confusion, as if she didn't understand that I was threatening her.

Just then, the sound of conversation came from downstairs.

"Old Feng, is my daughter with you?"

"Yes, I'm upstairs with Yaoyao."

"I'm going upstairs to find her."

The door was pushed open, and Uncle Shen looked at her with a gloomy expression.

"go home."

"No."

When I first heard Shen Muyao refuse her parents' requests, Uncle Shen was stunned.

Perhaps he never imagined that this would happen to his own daughter.

"What did you say?"

Dad rushed over and pulled Uncle Chen downstairs. I don't know what they said, but Uncle Chen stormed off.

Later, I found out from my father.

These past few days, Shen Muyao has been skipping classes to be with me; she hasn't attended a single one of those other miscellaneous courses.

Sometimes, when the bodyguards took her there, she would lie and ask for leave to run away.

After all, how could any teacher suspect such well-behaved girls?

When get out of class was almost over, she would run to the front of the tutoring center and wait for the driver to pick her up.

If it weren't for a strict teacher who made her parents call today, this matter might have been kept secret for a while longer.

But Uncle Chen is such a strict person, how could he help her ask for leave?

So she ran out immediately, and of course the teacher couldn't let her go.

During the argument, I accidentally scratched her arm.

That's why Uncle Shen came over.

When I learned about these things, I felt that Shen Muyao was such a good friend, and I was incredibly touched.

She thought to herself that she probably wouldn't come again the next day.

But to my surprise, she still came the next evening, though she looked rather disheveled.

Following closely behind him were Uncle Shen and several bodyguards.

She rushed upstairs, carrying a small bottle in her hand.

The first thing she said to me when she saw me was, "I bought you some delicious candy, it's very sweet."

Looking at the small bottle she handed me and her slightly red and swollen palms, tears streamed down my face uncontrollably.

"Did Uncle Chen hit you?" I gently touched her little hand.

"It doesn't hurt," Shen Muyao shook her head.

But I could clearly feel her body tremble.

In the end, Uncle Shen took her home.

That day, instead of looking out the window, I stood there holding that box of candy for a long time.

This can't go on any longer.

Shen Muyao is right, Mom won't be happy to see me like this.

Everything has already happened. I am not a magician with the ability to rewind time.

Therefore, we cannot allow any more people to get hurt.

My dad spends a lot of time every day trying to make me happy; he must be even sadder than I am.

Shen Muyao comes to keep me company every day. Given Uncle Shen's strict personality, she probably gets beaten up again.

I thought about many, many things, and finally fell into a deep sleep.

The next day, I got up very early.

When I went downstairs, I saw my father sitting alone on the sofa, lost in thought, with bottles of alcohol all around him, and the living room filled with the smell of alcohol.

That's when I realized that he probably spent every day like this.

Busy with the company, busy comforting me, and even more busy... missing me.

When he saw me coming downstairs, he tried to stand up, but he couldn't stand steadily and sat back down.

I tried several times but failed.

I rushed over and helped him up.

I smiled when I saw the familiar photo on the table.

"Yaoyao, it's all Daddy's fault for letting you see this..."

He hurriedly tried to put the photos away, afraid of upsetting me.

"Dad, don't be sad. You always try to comfort me. Mom will be very sad to see us like this."

"So, let's cheer up starting today."

"Where's my schoolbag? Do you still have the strength to take me to school?"

After I finished speaking, my dad seemed very excited, repeatedly saying, "Yes, yes."

When I appeared at school, my classmates stared at me in shock.

Especially Shen Muyao, whose sparkling, gem-like eyes kept blinking.

I sat down next to her and smiled.

"I'm back."

"Yes." She nodded vigorously.

From that day on, I hid all my sadness in my heart and regained my usual smile.

Only when he is alone in bed will he hide under the covers, take out that photo, and look at it over and over again.

My relationship with Shen Muyao has become increasingly close, and she tells me everything.

She seems to be getting busier and busier; we only have time to stroll around for a while during lunchtime.

"Mu Yao, what do you want to do in the future?"

"have no idea."
