Chapter 61 Feng Yaoyao (7) Acquaintance

When I returned to school, I chatted and laughed with my classmates as usual.

I simply changed my old habits. I no longer daydream or doze off in class. I started studying in a planned way and went between different tutoring classes every day.

I just wanted to get into the university that Shen Muyao and I both wanted to go to, but I don't really know why I wanted to go.

Once you have a goal in mind, you'll selectively forget many things.

As for Qin Bai, I have never given up searching for his whereabouts.

But in such a big city, the chances of us bumping into each other are really slim.

Dad had people search for him for a long time, but they still couldn't find him.

Even when they went to the police station to look up his home address, the owner of the house had already changed.

Will he still remember me?

Will you come looking for me?

But I haven't told him my name yet.

And so, I carried that longing with me all the way into junior high school.

And my dad found me a new mom.

Actually, I don't blame him. So many years have passed, and he didn't do anything wrong.

Love in real life is different from that in novels; he has already done very well.

However, not many people like the word "stepmother".

Therefore, I also resisted it.

Thankfully, the scenario of a wicked stepmother didn't happen to me.

Sister Yueyue is really, really good to me.

While Dad was still annoyed by our constant arguments, we had already become very good sisters.

I also told her everything about Qin Bai.

After hearing this, her eyes widened, and she seemed even more excited than I was.

They talk about childhood sweethearts, saviors, and vowing to repay each other with their bodies.

I guess Sister Yueyue has watched too many corny comedy sketches.

She also assured me that she would definitely help me find Qin Bai's whereabouts.

I don't have high expectations, after all these years, it's not that easy to find one now.

But when I heard the news about Qin Bai, I sat there for a long time without reacting.

Tears slowly welled up in her eyes, eventually gathering and dripping down her cheeks.

No one can understand how I feel; he's like an obsession in my life.

If I can't find him, I'll always feel incredibly guilty.

That day, I went to his school.

When I saw that figure on the court, I knew it was Qin Bai.

He has grown much taller and his appearance has changed a lot, but he always has a smile on his face.

But the depths of his eyes remained cold, just like he had been back then.

I'm slowly starting to understand his thoughts; it's not pessimism, but reality.

That's how society is. As he said, many things have a price tag, and some things are simply unacceptable.

I watched him from the sidelines for a very long time, until he came out.

I tried calling out, "Qin Bai?"

Sure enough, he turned his head and looked over, but his eyes were full of doubt.

"Excuse me, do we know each other?"

"Yes." I nodded vigorously.

"Oh, but... I don't think I've ever seen you before." A huge question mark appeared on his face.

I gave her a sweet smile: "It's okay, we can get to know each other again. Hello, my name is Feng Yaoyao."

"Oh, hello."

Just then, someone called out from ahead, "Qin Bai, time to eat."

"Oh, here it comes."

He turned his head and said, "Feng... Yaoyao, what a beautiful name. Goodbye."

Watching his departing figure, I clenched my hands tightly, trying to hide the excitement in my heart.

Qin Bai, this time I will definitely not let you get away again.

I walked out of the school with a joyful heart.

Suddenly, I saw a girl in a white dress, her black hair casually draped over her shoulders, carrying several books in her arms, coming out of the library.

A sudden thought struck me, and I walked over quickly, somewhat incredulously.

When I saw that aloof little face, I knew the answer I had in mind.

At that moment, she saw me too.

We stared at each other like that for a long time.

"Feng Yaoyao?"

"Um."

Hearing my answer, I could clearly feel the joy deep in her eyes.

I crossed my arms and said with a cold laugh, "Are you happy? Heh, that's quite different from how you looked back then."

"What?"

"No need to pretend, do I really need to spell things out for you?"

"you......"

I kept staring at the expression on her face, waiting for her to offer some explanation.

After a long while.

I still haven't received the answer I wanted to hear.

I felt extremely wronged.

"Shen Muyao, do you think you're so noble? Fine, you wait, I'll make you understand how wrong your decision was sooner or later."

After I finished speaking, I turned and left, the tears that slid down my cheeks disappearing into the air.

After returning home, I thought about it for a long time. I decided to go to the university where Qin Bai was.

Now, not only is he there, but Shen Muyao is there too.

Therefore, I must go.

I told my dad about it, but he wouldn't let me go.

I argued with him for a long time, but he still didn't agree.

Luckily, I have Sister Yueyue. She promised to let me become a counselor after I graduate.

Then I started studying day and night again.

Finally, I graduated early and went to the university where he was, just as I had hoped.

As I walked into the classroom, my eyes were fixed on Qin Bai, who was sitting in the back.

When the students below the stage saw me, they started screaming and jeering.
