"You have such a good memory," Chen Lu joked.
“Because I don’t have much in my heart,” Liang Zhirou said, holding up her fingers one by one. “I have Mom, you, and Miaomiao… and that’s it.”
She counted carefully, but in the end she only held up three fingers, which wobbled slightly, looking rather lonely.
Chen Lu pointed to each of the girl's fingers with his index finger, as if counting along with her. "Now you know why I told you to find some hobbies, right?"
This simpleton has never considered his own affairs; like a companion star, he only revolves around the three suns in his heart.
It's not that it's impossible; Chen Lu would love for this simpleton to only have him in his heart.
Love can make a person great, but it can also make a person selfish.
Chen Lu is currently in this state of mind; he wants Liang Zhirou to love only him for the rest of her life, and for him to be the only one on her mind. However, if things continue like this, her simple life will become too monotonous. The more he likes her, the less he wants her to live only for him.
Even learning to binge-watch TV series?
“It’s also a hobby.” He refocused the camera on a flowerpot on the balcony. “I can get happiness from it. Actually, photography doesn’t have any lofty meaning for me. It’s just for fun and enjoyment.”
That's enough.
"People must love something, just like plants love time. Otherwise, life would be too monotonous, and that's exactly what you're going through now."
"Being with me isn't a hobby; it's just a part of life. Because I can be there for you to do everything you want to do."
Liang Zhirou also turned her gaze to the balcony, blinked blankly, and seemed to be deep in thought.
Miao Miao has a ton of hobbies, and she's happy every day with lots of things she wants to do. She plays video games, watches anime and reads novels, and she especially loves cosplaying.
Xiao Mo also knows everything; it seems like she knows all the plots of any TV series or novel.
Chen Lu has even more hobbies; he's constantly trying to learn new things, but right now, his favorite thing seems to be flirting with her...
But... she really couldn't find it. For her, the past nineteen years had just been a constant race towards one goal after another that had to be achieved.
If you ask her to actively find something she wants to do, she can't.
She had been pushed around by pressure for too long, which is why she had been feeling inexplicably lost lately.
The only thing she ever actively did in her life was confess her feelings to Chen Lu...
Just as the girl was lost in thought and feeling increasingly confused, she suddenly felt her hand being gently grasped.
"Take your time," Chen Lu said softly.
After saying that, he curled the corner of his mouth into a smile.
You just need to soak in warm water and let me slowly cook you; leave the rest to me.
Liang Zhirou took a deep breath, as if relieved, and said, "Okay."
The feeling of being out of place in this world faded somewhat from her mind.
After his afternoon nap, Chen Lu woke up groggily. As soon as he walked into the living room, he saw Liang Zhirou, who had gotten up at some point, standing in front of the full-length mirror, occasionally brushing her bangs aside.
The girl was wearing the same pajamas as herself, and her figure still looked so slender.
Unfortunately, I can't hold it while sleeping yet.
"What are you doing?" Chen Lu asked, yawning, and then picked up the remote control to turn on the living room air conditioner.
It was August, the height of summer, and this silly guy wouldn't even turn on the air conditioning.
"I'm wondering if I should get my bangs trimmed..."
Liang Zhirou slowly brushed her bangs to one side, then pursed her lips and returned to her original state.
This keeps happening repeatedly, and I have no idea what this silly guy is after.
Chen Lu stepped forward, put his arm around the girl's slender waist from behind, and looked at their reflection in the mirror. "Why did you suddenly think of this?"
"It should look even better, right? I think you'll like it..." the girl whispered.
"You've narrowed your perspective. I like you no matter what you look like." Chen Lu looked at her lazily. "Besides, aren't you nervous about cutting this off?"
Both of them were looking into each other's eyes in the mirror, staring at each other in a strange way.
Chen Lu was surprised that Liang Zhirou's tone and eyes suddenly became unusually serious. She said earnestly:
"I want to say goodbye to my past self."
I no longer need to be afraid of being bullied, because my boyfriend will protect me.
I also want to become stronger...
Chen Lu was stunned for a moment, then realized that this simpleton actually had his own ideas. He was very happy and hugged the girl in front of him even tighter. "Okay, I support you."
Liang Zhirou turned her head and gently kissed Chen Lu's neck. "You cut it for me."
"Then you won't be able to face anyone," Chen Lu said with a smile.
“It’s okay, we can go to the barbershop to get it fixed later.” Liang Zhirou held Chen Lu’s hand that was on her waist. “I just wanted you to cut it.”
Chen Lu took a pair of paper cutters and, making a snip-snip sound, walked towards the girl who was sitting up straight.
He pinched the girl's cheek. "I never thought I'd be a hairdresser like Tony. What can I do for my first customer?"
Liang Zhirou gave a light snort, "Be serious."
"Don't worry, I guarantee you'll be satisfied."
Soon, the living room quieted down, with only the crisp sound of scissors closing occasionally ringing out, and a few strands of hair slowly drifting down into the clean floor.
