Lin Miaomiao sent several shocked emojis in a row, looking incredulous.
Liang Zhirou: What else could happen...?
She was somewhat bewildered, as if the pace of progress she envisioned was, in the eyes of others, like a snail's crawl.
Then Lin Miaomiao sent another message: "It's alright. I'm just a bystander, and it's a bit of a shame that the scenario I imagined didn't happen. Speaking of which, one of my roommates did everything with her boyfriend after only two weeks together."
Liang Zhirou slightly loosened her collar and looked at the red mark next to her collarbone in the small mirror in the room, then quickly covered it up again.
That's all there is to her relationship with Chen Lu so far; she's not mentally prepared for anything more...
Liang Zhirou: Am I not quite normal...?
Lin Miaomiao: It's not that you're abnormal, it's just that when mistakes become the mainstream, correct ideas become mistakes.
I was mostly joking. You're such a goofball, doubting your own normality over something like this.
I'm just enjoying the show. (Funny.jpg)
"What are you doing?"
After a while, Chen Lu saw Liang Zhirou sitting on the edge of the bed looking at her phone. He leaned over and asked her a question, but he already knew the answer in his mind as soon as he asked it.
It could only be Lin Miaomiao or Chen Mo, it couldn't be anyone else.
Although Chen Mo still brings his phone to school in his senior year of high school, he seems to be studying quite diligently lately, so it's highly likely that he's Lin Miaomiao.
Noticing that her free hand was being held, Liang Zhirou gently took it back, saying, "I was chatting with Miaomiao."
"She definitely wasn't saying anything serious to you," Chen Lu joked.
Liang Zhirou gave a slightly embarrassed "hmm".
Chen Lu didn't need to look at the chat page to guess what this social terrorist had said; it was nothing more than asking about last night's events. "As the saying goes, one is influenced by one's company; be careful not to be corrupted by her thoughts."
Liang Zhirou tilted her head. "Is Miaomiao's hair black?"
"No, she is yellow."
......
Chen Lu felt the calluses on the girl's palms and said softly, "The calluses on your hands are getting better."
Liang Zhirou nodded, looked up at him and asked, "Don't you feel a little more comfortable when you're being a hooligan?"
"Can you call it being a pervert when it comes to boyfriend and girlfriend matters?" Chen Lulu said without changing his expression, continuing to hold the girl's soft hand, which was incredibly relaxing. "This is called strengthening your relationship."
He chuckled again after saying that, "But I still want to congratulate you on getting better and better at joking, even if it's based on mocking your boyfriend."
Chen Lu noticed that he often found himself marveling at how much Liang Zhirou had changed lately. Although she was still as gentle and shy as ever, she had become a little more playful in his presence.
That's normal. After all, this girl is still a nineteen-year-old girl; she's just been suppressed for too long. Besides her gentle and shy nature, she should also naturally have the liveliness unique to her age.
He... changed too. Liang Zhirou changed him with her actions, making him more and more confident and deeply believing in this simple and honest affection.
Looking back, judging from Liang Zhirou's reaction, he should have realized that she liked him a long time ago, but he just couldn't believe it at the time, and he was still unsure until the moment he decided to confess.
“I’m not joking.” Liang Zhirou suddenly said seriously while Chen Lu’s thoughts were wandering.
The girl found it really strange. "I really want you to feel more comfortable holding my hand."
Before she got together with Chen Lu, she couldn't bear to waste time and money taking care of her hands.
Chen Lu: "......"
He took a few deep breaths, trying to make as little noise as possible.
Why don't we just marry this silly girl now? I really can't stand it anymore.
A marriage certificate is just a piece of paper; I must immediately trick her into coming home as my wife.
Liang Zhirou looked at Chen Lu, whose expression was rather strange, with some confusion and asked curiously, "Are you feeling unwell?"
Chen Lu stood up and walked to the door, clearing his throat forcefully. "It's nothing, let's have breakfast."
After breakfast, a bunch of things Chen Lu had ordered online arrived, and Liang Zhirou started helping Chen Lu tidy up the house. Once people have everything they need for daily life, they start thinking about buying things to increase their sense of happiness.
After all, humans are creatures that know how to enjoy life.
Even though it was a rented house, Chen Lu was still quite enthusiastic about making things happen, since he had no plans to move before buying a house for his wedding.
A two-bedroom apartment isn't too big or too small; with a few things, it can feel very homey. Flowers and plants, even if you might not be able to keep them alive, you should still put them out.
The most eye-catching thing was the beanbag chair he placed in the living room. He deliberately chose a larger size, just the right size for the two of them to sit on together and watch a movie in a cozy and affectionate manner.
There's absolutely no need to buy couple seats at the cinema anymore.
By the time everything was almost packed up, it was almost noon.
Chen Lu plopped down on the soft sofa, practically sinking into it, and opened his arms to Liang Zhirou, who was sitting on the balcony with flowerpots. "Come here quickly."
Liang Zhirou walked slowly to him, turned her face away, pursed her lips, gritted her teeth, closed her eyes, and hugged him.
Chen Lu held the girl tightly in his arms, looking at the floor he had just mopped clean.
It really feels like home.
Although we've never actually managed to sleep in the same room.
"Is Auntie going to suddenly come over?" Liang Zhirou suddenly sat up and looked at Chen Lu nervously.
