Chapter 307 Don't Fight with Law Students

The boy, who was still a bit dazed from the slap, put his deformed glasses back on and couldn't help but shout, "You slapped me with your leg?!"

"Can't I use my feet because my hand hurts? What? Who says I can't use my feet?"

Jiang Chao was initially amused, but seeing Chen Lu's serious expression, he thought he was making a fuss over nothing.

Until they saw several police officers walking towards them.

"Who the hell called the police?!"

Jiang Chao angrily looked around, and his imposing manner even made the onlookers shrink back in fear.

Did you intervene because you saw someone bullying a girl?

Bullshit!

They're just there to watch the drama unfold and make things worse.

Once the police are notified, even the smallest friction will immediately escalate into a major incident.

"Someone called the police saying there's a fight among students here. Who is it?" an older police officer asked as he came over.

"I got hit!"

The boy raised his right hand high and waved at the police officer who was asking him questions.

As he raised his hand, he couldn't help but glance smugly at Liu Yan, but then he immediately looked away, scared off by Jiang Chao's gaze.

After a brief inquiry into the cause and course of events, the police found that both sides had conflicting accounts, each claiming that the other had started the trouble. So they simply took both groups back for questioning.

It's become commonplace; no one ever admits to starting something.

So when they arrived, they had no intention of resolving the matter on the spot.

"Who else is here? Come along." The lead officer was taking notes on his phone when he looked up and asked.

Chen Lu silently pulled Liang Zhirou behind him, and Liang Zhirou cleverly stood behind him.

By this time, the two had become part of the onlookers.

"And her!" The boy who had been hit pointed at Liang Zhirou. "She threatened me just now!"

Liang Zhirou trembled slightly. It was impossible for her not to be scared. She had never even been talked to by a teacher before, let alone the police.

Although she was so frightened that she forgot to defend herself for a moment, she still subconsciously tried to let go of Chen Lu's hand and make him distance himself from her. However, Chen Lu held on even tighter.

Having been a policeman for so many years, the officer could naturally tell a person's general character at a glance. None of the people present seemed like easy to deal with, but this pretty girl looked honest.

So he simply said softly, "Don't be afraid, it's just a questioning, we won't arrest you."

"I'm her boyfriend, can I go with her?" Chen Lu raised their intertwined hands.

"It's just a matter of giving a statement, why are you meddling in this? Do you think this is a sightseeing trip to the police station?"

The police clearly did not intend to bring any unrelated individuals with them.

"Don't be afraid, it's nothing to worry about." Chen Lu gently stroked Liang Zhirou's small hand and comforted her softly.

"I know."

Liang Zhirou nodded gently, but it took her a long time to let go of Chen Lu's hand, and she looked extremely difficult.

But after hesitating for a long time, she took the initiative to let go. Chen Lu's expression was already serious enough, and she didn't want to worry him anymore or cause him any more trouble.

"Uncle, do you guys smoke? I'm pretty familiar with your squad leader; we just met before the New Year." Seeing the group about to leave, Jiang Chao quickly approached them with a grin.

When he reached into his pocket, he only pulled out a bunch of lollipops, Alpenliebe brand, with all sorts of flavors.

The police officers just stared at him blankly.

The atmosphere suddenly became a little awkward.

"Smoking is harmful to your health, how about we make do with this?"

"Were you involved?" the police officer asked.

"No."

"Then why are you following us? Go to your class!"

Jiang Chao scratched his head. Actually, this was the situation where he was least likely to be effective—because the person who came was of such a low rank.

Not only do people not believe him when he mentions the name of an acquaintance, they don't even give him a chance to communicate by phone.

Jiang Chao was wondering how to get there together when he suddenly saw Chen Lulu walk slowly and expressionlessly to the boy.

He didn't say anything, but slowly took off the glasses that the boy had just put on and silently looked into his eyes.

Chen Lu's eyes were calm and still, looking almost like he was offering words of comfort.

"Smack!"

The next second, a crisp slap reached Jiang Chao's ears, and the surrounding area erupted in an uproar.

The voice was very loud, and it carried a hint of personal grudges.

The boy's cheeks were flushed red. He looked up at Chen Lu with a blank expression, not even realizing what was happening.

Chen Lu ignored him, simply shaking his hand before slowly raising it and casually turning back to say:

"I participated."
