Chapter 454 They were clearly two angels

"What's wrong?" the driver asked.

"I forgot something, please stop the car!"

I forgot about my girlfriend! Damn it!

As Peng Leyun spoke, he kept looking back. The bus, which he usually thought was too slow, now seemed to him as fast as if it were flying close to the ground.

"We can only stop at the designated station; that's our rule," the driver said calmly.

"I have a stomach ache!"

The driver ignored him. He was just saying he forgot something, and now he's complaining of a stomachache. Nobody believes his nonsense.

You see this kind of person all the time; there are people on airplanes who yell for the window to be opened.

He had previously witnessed fights breaking out over seats, which only underscores the importance of respecting biodiversity.

Peng Leyun gritted his teeth, thinking that no one in the car knew him anyway, and simply shouted again, "I can't hold back anymore, I'll give you the money for the car wash later."

The crowd that had gathered around him to watch the spectacle dispersed in an instant.

The bus eventually came to a stop.

Then everyone saw the person who was saying he couldn't hold it in just a second suddenly start running backwards, and in the blink of an eye, he had run a long way.

This guy doesn't look like he's in a hurry to go to the toilet; he looks like he's rushing to be reincarnated.

Wait a minute, is there a pressure cooker in this car?!

After running for an unknown amount of time, he finally spotted a familiar figure at the bus stop.

When Lin Miaomiao saw him come up to her, she quickly put the phone she had brought to record the video back into her pocket and looked at him while suppressing a laugh.

"Why are you back again?" she asked, feigning curiosity.

Peng Leyun had a lot to say, but his lungs were aching so badly that he couldn't utter a single word.

He could only hold onto his knees, panting heavily.

A few seconds later, still enduring the pain, he asked in a hoarse voice, "Did I...did I misunderstand something?"

Who knows?

Lin Miaomiao remained noncommittal, her hands behind her back, and simply smiled, revealing her adorable tiger teeth.

"Stop messing around..." Peng Leyun had never been so embarrassed in her life.

Fortunately, when he was at a loss and could only pray to the heavens, he was answered by his younger self from ten years ago.

Otherwise, I really wouldn't have said something like "I can't hold it in anymore."

Lin Miaomiao reached out and poked his forehead with her fingertip.

Why do you think I'm still waiting for you here?

Upon hearing this, Peng Leyun's breathing and heartbeat paused for a moment. He forced himself to stand up straight and smiled at the girl in front of him.

...

"If I had confessed my feelings a few years earlier, would you still have said yes?" Peng Leyun suddenly asked as the two walked side by side on the street.

Lin Miaomiao shook her head with a wry smile, and simply said softly:

"If I hadn't discovered that you're truly so stupid as to insist on marrying no one but you, I probably wouldn't have agreed today..."

Peng Leyun turned her head to look at her. Lin Miaomiao said this, but the corners of her mouth turned up slightly.

He turned out to be very smart.

Although he didn't know when Lin Miaomiao started liking him, he definitely won his gamble.

Those four thousand days and nights were not in vain after all.

Despite the ridicule from relatives and the strange looks from those around him, he managed to pull through.

Just then, Lin Miaomiao turned her head and met his gaze, then quickly looked away: "You're thirty-two this year, aren't you?"

"Yes, he's a year older than you."

"When we first met, you hadn't even graduated from university yet." Lin Miaomiao sighed and couldn't help but pat him on the shoulder. "I've wasted all your youth on this one crooked tree. Why did you have to hang yourself on this one crooked tree?"

"So what? Brother Lu is a year older than me, but he still lives like he's only in his early twenties."

Peng Leyun said with a smile, extending her right hand towards her.

"I feel like... my youth has just begun."

Lin Miaomiao was stunned for a moment, wiped her eyes, and gently placed her hand on it.

"Mine might be the same."

Upon realizing that their hands were indeed clasped together, Peng Leyun quickly took two deep breaths.

Although it's pathetic for someone in their thirties to say something like that, he was genuinely very nervous, as if he were dreaming.

"Speaking of which, when my godson was in kindergarten, a neighbor's older sister took the initiative to hold his hand."

Lin Miaomiao held up three fingers and waved them gently in front of him, unable to help but laugh, "That brat is almost thirty years ahead of us."

Peng Leyun's lips twitched twice, "...Stop talking, you're about to break down."

How can you compare them? Don't you even know whose son that is?

night.

Chen Lu liked the photo the two of them posted on their WeChat Moments, then looked up and turned his gaze to his two mischievous children at home.

Ever since the two kids came back from their exams, they've been hiding there whispering to each other, I don't know what kind of mischief they're up to.

Sure enough, it wasn't long before Chen Muxue came over with her brother.

"Dad, where's Mom?" Chen Muxue asked softly.

Chen Lu: "..."

I never imagined I'd be the one hearing those words.

I never knew that this standard sentence structure could sound so disheartening. Suddenly, I feel really bad for Chen Guanglin.

What goes around comes around.

Chen Lu frowned. "Why do you have to tell your mother everything? Can't you just talk to me?"

The brother and sister shook their heads at the same time.

"You've gotten yourself into trouble again, haven't you?" Chen Lu said with an expression that seemed to see right through him.

"No!" Chen Muxue quickly retorted.

Chen Lucai didn't believe it, but still gestured towards the art studio with his chin, "Your mother is painting, don't disturb her."

This silly girl is really restless; she seems to have inexhaustible energy, even though her husband and children are both so good at slacking off.

The Chen family, with its simple and honest traditions, seemed so pure and untainted by the surrounding corruption...
