Liang Zhirou stopped abruptly after speaking, her heart pounding. She could only bite her lip and pretend to be calm, thinking that she had changed her mind quickly.
But Chen Lu heard it very clearly.
Seeing Liang Zhirou's flustered expression, Chen Lu's mouth opened slightly, and he was stunned for a long time before asking in a low voice, "Did you always know, but just pretended to be stupid to comfort me?"
And so he's been coaxed like a child by this simpleton for so many years?

Sometimes she would just bring back one or two that were just right for cooking. Later she discovered that they sold exactly the same ones in all the markets, big and small.
And so she's been pretending to be stupid all these years, right up until now.
As long as Chen Lu is happy, who cares whether the fish was caught or bought?
Liang Zhirou pursed her lips, glancing at Chen Lu every now and then, afraid that he might be unhappy.
After a long silence, Chen Lu smacked his lips with a wry smile, flicked her forehead, and slowly walked towards the kitchen.
Liang Zhirou breathed a sigh of relief and obediently followed behind him.
Since Liang Zhirou was always in charge of cleaning the fish, Chen Lu started boiling water in the pot to help her out.
The water in the pot had just started to boil when Liang Zhirou suddenly whispered behind him:
"Have you noticed that Yunqi seems like a different person lately?"
