Chapter 8 If you're sad, just eat a candy.

Mo Yuqing continued to experience life after leaving, but Chen Lu no longer wanted to care about these things.

She later discovered that by the time she had bought all the food she wanted, she was too tired to eat anymore.

You'll find that picking up packages from various courier collection points that are far apart is a very painful experience.

You'll find that finding a seat in the library isn't easy, and that even if you're very good-looking, getting permission from your advisor is still incredibly difficult...

At this moment, she was like the mermaid in the fairy tale who had just come ashore, and every step she took was difficult.

Chen Lu slowly walked out of the cafeteria and looked up at the sun that had just peeked out from behind a dark cloud.

The sun felt warm on my skin, and the air was fresh because it had just rained.

The rain has stopped...

The scene just now seemed to be beyond Liang Zhirou's comprehension, and the girl kept her head down and remained silent.

Chen Lu's mind was also in turmoil. He didn't understand why Mo Yuqing was making a scene in front of him.

Or perhaps he guessed it, but was unwilling to face it.

She's just not used to life without a simp.

Chen Lu took a deep breath of fresh air, feeling the cool breeze, and laughed self-deprecatingly, "That was the girl I was chasing for seven whole years, without ever getting a response, yet I persisted for seven years. Wasn't that stupid?"

Unexpectedly, Liang Zhirou just shook her head seriously, and then took out a piece of fructose from her pocket. Because Chen Lu was taller than her, she deliberately raised her right hand, and her delicate little hand slowly opened like a flower.

Chen Lu carefully took it, looking at her with some curiosity.

"Why are you giving me this?" Chen Lu asked curiously.

"Because...I don't want you to be sad."

The girl's voice was soft, yet so gentle and sincere.

Chen Lu was stunned once again.

The cold wind kept blowing on him as he was lost in thought, but it couldn't cool down his warm heart.

Chen Lu never expected that the thing that would soothe his sadness these past two days would be someone giving him a piece of candy.

It took him a while to come to his senses. He sniffed and said, "By the way, why do you live outside? Our school dorms are pretty cheap, right?"

"I need to take care of my mother."

"Oh, I see. Where are you going? I'll take you there," Chen Lu said softly.

The green apple-flavored fructose melted slowly in his mouth, leaving a sweet aftertaste. It seemed his heart was melting away too.

"No need, I need to go to a part-time job...it's very far away."

Liang Zhirou gently clutched the hem of her clothes, watching Chen Lu's shadow.

Although she didn't know why, she just really liked looking at Chen Lu like that.

This way, I won't be discovered, and I don't have to worry about accidentally making eye contact with him, which makes me feel very safe.

She felt she had already been reckless enough.

The girl's wish was very simple, so simple that she just wanted to see his shadow.

Liang Zhirou was very sensible from a young age, and even more so after her father passed away.

Her mother's illness made her even more afraid to be selfish, willful, or immature.

Suppressing her desires had become a habit for her.

Constantly studying and working hard to earn money to treat her mother's illness has almost become her instinct for survival.

She has no hobbies, and unlike girls her age, she doesn't enjoy researching cosmetics and skincare products. She doesn't understand or want to spend time buying clothes and dressing herself up.

She was already content just to be able to look at the boy who brought a glimmer of light to her dark days.

Suddenly, Chen Lu leaned down and glanced at her with a light smile. His handsome face came into her view again, making her lower her head even further.

But I still couldn't help but secretly glance at him out of the corner of my eye.

The boy's smile was gentle; it had been far too long since anyone, except his mother, had smiled at him and looked into his eyes like that.

The most recent one can even be traced back to ten years ago.

Seeing that she was just looking down and didn't seem unhappy, Chen Lu felt relieved and smiled:

“I can deliver it part-time too, I don’t have anything to do this afternoon. This is the joy of being a junior, you freshmen can’t understand.”

She was about to refuse when she saw Chen Lu looking at her coldly.

She quickly and obediently nodded.

Chen Lu deliberately stepped on very shallow puddles, making a crackling sound.

He chuckled to himself as he watched the girl walking obediently in front of him.

"No, Liang Zhirou, you're really silly."

"I'm not stupid..."

By this time, the sun had completely dispelled the dark clouds, and the sunlight generously shone down on the two of them.

The surroundings instantly brightened, and the scene turned warmer, including the girl who kept her head down as Chen Lu walked.

The weather is so nice.

Even a simple walk makes me happy.

......

"This damn sun keeps shining on me. Yuqing, if you're really tired, let's take a break." Liu Yan said, panting, turning around to look at the haggard-looking girl behind her.

The long skirt swayed gently beneath the girl's slender waist. She bit her lip lightly, her bewildered expression inexplicably arousing a desire to conquer her.

Liu Yan couldn't help but feel grateful that she had a boyfriend, otherwise she really would have been turned gay.

It's so beautiful! But when will you realize that this alone won't keep Chen Lu?

When will you be able to let go of your pride?

You have the potential, that's true, but you won't find love this way.

Mo Yuqing seemed not to hear her words. Holding two packages, she stared blankly ahead, walking unsteadily like a wind-up doll.
