Chapter 199 One shouldn't be too easy to give away.

"Such a fun event, and you're not including the boss?!"

Chen Lu's complaints echoed in everyone's ears, and his focus seemed to be different from what they expected.

"What's the score?" He curiously approached Peng Leyun from behind, watching him play a back-and-forth match against the opposing mid laner, who was playing LeBlanc.

“1:1…” the employee who had just been shouting “Place your bet now!” said timidly.

Chen Lu nodded. It couldn't have been something these people organized on their own during work hours. Since he wasn't there, it must have been Jiang Chao who started it.

He told the group to continue playing, and then hurriedly went into Jiang Chao's office.

"You didn't even call your dad for something this fun!" Chen Lu complained loudly as soon as he entered the door.

Jiang Chao was startled by the sudden opening of the door and said speechlessly, "Sigh, you go play. Although they are unlikely to beat you, they don't know for sure whether they will hold back or not. A perfectly good match will turn into an Oscar ceremony."

You should just stay with your brother and live in anonymity. Why should we cause trouble for them? It'd be beneath us.

He flicked his cigarette ash with an air of nonchalance, looking as if he had seen through the vanities of the world.

"Why don't we each take one? You're just afraid of embarrassing yourself up there, aren't you?" Chen Lu looked at him with disdain. "Doesn't your dad know you?"

Their dorm was far more than just a gathering of brilliant minds; everyone except him was a typical example of someone who was bad at the game but addicted to it. When the four of them played together, the system would randomly assign one "lucky guy" to accompany Chen Lu to jail.

Jiang Chao was unconvinced and immediately stood up. "Damn it, let's have a one-on-one fight! Father-son match, you dare?"

"Can't you two be a little more mature?"

Liu Yan, who had been quietly playing on her phone, couldn't take it anymore and threw the two of them onto the street. No one would guess that they were people who ran a company.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Chao immediately sat down, thinking to himself, "Liu Yan, you really are my good girlfriend. I was just worried about what to do when Chen Luzhen accepted the invitation."

Chen Lu then noticed Liu Yan sitting motionless to the side and exclaimed in surprise, "Wow, your white shirt blends into the wall! I didn't even see you!"

"It's obvious that Liang Zhirou spoils you rotten, to the point that you can't even say nice things anymore," Liu Yan complained to him irritably, while giving Chen Lu a bag of snacks she had brought.

They've been friends since freshman year, and the group has gotten used to attacking each other.

Chen Lu tore open a potato chip and put it in his mouth. "That's right, my girlfriend is great."

"Yo~"

Liu Yan sat in a chair with her arms crossed, and asked curiously, "When you two usually argue, who usually gives in first?"

Liang Zhirou's personality left a very deep impression on her. It was the first time she had ever met someone who could comfort someone without saying a word.

The most outrageous thing is that she actually comforted me.

Jiang Chao immediately became agitated, "Why are you asking him!"

"What's wrong with asking this?" Liu Yan was baffled by Jiang Chao's actions.

“Exactly, what’s wrong with asking?” Chen Lu agreed, then sighed deeply, “But I really can’t answer that question. Because Liang Zhirou and I never argue…”

"You two should argue less. You need to communicate promptly if there's anything. Arguing won't solve anything," he advised.

When Chen Lu was kicked out of the office by the two, he happened to see Lin Miaomiao packing her things with a smile.

"Sigh, you guys break so easily. Just transfer the bonus via WeChat directly, I'm going to accompany the boss's wife to class."

After saying that, she picked up her bag and walked away.

Chen Lu stared blankly at the glass door that had been closed again, blinking in surprise.

Why is she so arrogant?

"What are you guys doing? The art team brought two girls and you didn't even fight them?" Chen Lu asked Peng Leyun. Because Lin Miaomiao often taught Liang Zhirou self-defense techniques, seeing Lin Miaomiao's smugness was more painful than killing him.

Peng Leyun pushed up his glasses somewhat awkwardly, "The art team relies on those two girls to carry the show. Lin Miaomiao is just a pushover against us."

"Is hitting you considered smurfing? You got solo killed twice by her in lane this game!" A guy next to me complained; judging from the results screen, he seemed to be a jungler.

In competitive games, if you win, you're good brothers; if you lose... well, you go straight to court and prosecute the war criminals.

Very common.

"I've been playing mobile games a lot lately, and I haven't played this in a while, so I'm a bit rusty," Peng Leyun continued to explain.

"Got it, you got it from playing Genshin Impact."

Chen Lu summarized succinctly, then walked to the middle, cleared his throat, and said, "Now that everything is settled, let me call a meeting. We need to change the manpower allocation for the two games."

Before the meeting, Chen Lu wrote a few large characters on the clean whiteboard.

The font is fluid and dynamic, yet every character is a gem:

[Peng Leyun was solo killed twice by a female player in lane on November 4th. Please be aware of this.]

[The programming team was defeated by the art team with a score of 2:1, a stark warning.]

The meeting then slowly began amidst the uncontrollable laughter of the crowd.

......

In the lecture hall.

Lin Miaomiao looked at the 500 yuan transfer record on her WeChat and felt incredibly happy, still basking in the pleasure of having just finished making a purchase.

Liang Zhirou sat upright next to her, her eyes fixed on the PPT, but her eyelids would droop from time to time, making her look sleepy.

After recovering from her joy, Lin Miaomiao suddenly felt that the atmosphere around her was a bit strange.

Turning her head, she noticed that Liang Zhirou was wearing a black dress with a white belt around her waist, making her already slender waist even more eye-catching.
