Chapter 162 Daughter-in-law

Perhaps it's because he's getting old, but he's now a little envious of his colleagues who have grandchildren.

Chen Lu retorted, "You want Zhirou to become someone else's daughter-in-law?"

Never mind what I said.

After thinking for a moment, Chen Guanglin changed the subject again, asking, "What about the person who partnered with you?"

After hearing this, Chen Lu scanned the audience seats again, "I didn't see it."

On the other side.

Jiang Chao sat down in the audience with a blank expression, next to a very thin, dark-skinned middle-aged man.

The man sat in a seat far back in the audience, watching many students who arrived late. He didn't say anything when Jiang Chao arrived.

Jiang Chao turned his gaze elsewhere as if in a huff and asked, "What are you doing here?"

"Just browsing."

The middle-aged man appeared nonchalant, asking, "Aren't you going to give this speech?"

"Smoke less. My mom nags me about it on the phone every day," Jiang Chao suddenly said after a while.

The two continued to look into the distance, chatting all the while, but never made eye contact.

The middle-aged man hummed in agreement, and then stood up again when he saw Mo Wenbin. "Come home for a meal when you have time, don't let your mother worry."

After saying that, he left without even going up to say hello to anyone.

The two of them used the same method to conceal what they truly wanted to say.

The last row of the audience fell completely silent, with only Jiang Chao sitting there quietly.

He fiddled with the lighter in his hand, pinching it between his fingers and turning it around twice, before unconsciously curling the corners of his mouth into a smile.
