Chapter 227 No one else is here

"Are you done with your work over there? If not, let's go together," Liang Zhirou asked softly, still reluctant to leave Chen Lu's arms.

"Luckily I'm done with my work." Chen Lu rubbed the girl's face. "Look how wronged my girlfriend looks."

Liang Zhirou was wearing a mask and a baseball cap, covering her face completely, but her slightly red eyes were still visible.

If Liang Zhirou's stall had simply been deserted, Chen Lu might have actually taken her back.

But this was the other party deliberately ostracizing him, and he couldn't swallow this bitter pill.

Liang Zhirou didn't say anything more. She had long since run out of courage and now all she wanted to do was hug Chen Lu to recharge.

"No points can be awarded this time..."

After a while, Liang Zhirou muttered something that only the two of them could understand.

Chen Lu couldn't help but laugh. "It's still early."

......

As Chen Lu's most loyal and capable subordinate, Peng Leyun was remarkably efficient.

Not long after, he finished making the banner and delivered it over.

Chen Lu stood at the entrance of the venue and waved to him from afar.

"It's almost lunchtime. I'll treat you to some pancakes. Have a meal with me before you go back," he said softly, taking a large stack of banners and holding them in his arms.

Peng Leyun is just like his Doraemon, so useful.

"I'll take it back to the company to eat; I still have things to finish," Peng Leyun said without any hesitation.

"That's fine, but remember to get some rest. Health is the foundation of everything." Chen Lu bought a few pancakes, holding one in his hand as he ate it, and said, "Life is only a few decades long, why waste time working overtime?"

Peng Leyun was speechless. "It's really strange for you, as the boss, to say something like that."

Back at the venue, Chen Lu shared the pancakes he had bought with the two of them, while he stood aside studying the stalls in the distance.

"Your current appearance reminds me of a saying," Lin Miaomiao suddenly said.

"What?"

"I was twenty-one that year, at the Hangzhou Comic Con, standing there like a lackey."

"I don't play that old trick of waiting for the right opportunity to come." Chen Lu clapped the crumbs off his hands and stood up. "I always settle scores on the spot."

Just as he was about to hang the banner, Liang Zhirou came over to join him.

"What does it say?" the girl asked curiously.

"You'll see once you hang it up."

Liang Zhirou looked at Chen Lu's upturned lips, her clear eyes filled with doubt.

After the banner was hung up, she did find out and even considered running away on the spot.

"This is the only time in his career that Mu Zhimu, a near-top-tier illustrator in China, will be doing a signing event at a comic convention!"

"You've already pulled so many limited characters by mistake, are you going to miss out on the limited artbook too?"

Seeing the large, glaring words, she blushed and quickly nudged Chen Lu's arm, "You've made such a big deal out of nothing, what are you going to do about it later?"

Chen Lu raised an eyebrow as he looked at what Peng Leyun had prepared, but still said calmly, "We really won't be attending comic conventions anymore, so what's wrong with what I said?"

After a while.

"Hello?" A short-haired girl came over and greeted her softly.

Lin Miaomiao rested her chin on her hand, pointed to the side, and said listlessly, "The toilet is over there."

"I didn't come here to use the restroom." The girl looked up and checked the words on the banner again. "Where is Mu Zhimu?"

"It's me..."

Liang Zhirou, who was sitting to the side having her hands ravaged by Chen Lu, timidly walked over.

The girl immediately became excited, "I took the high-speed train for more than three hours to get here! I never thought I would actually meet you!"

"I've been looking around all morning," the short-haired girl said, pointing into the distance. "Is this comic convention crazy? I'll really regret it if I miss it."

This was the first time Liang Zhirou had experienced how enthusiastic fans could be.

The man's eyes lit up when he saw her autograph.

The girl looked at the signed drawing in her hand with satisfaction, then picked up a small gift box from the table and asked, "How much is this souvenir?"

“I made this myself, for free…” Liang Zhirou whispered.

Are you a deity?

The girl couldn't help but take another look at Liang Zhirou. Although she was dressed so meticulously, she still felt that Liang must be a gentle and beautiful girl.

Just looking at him like that, she almost became infatuated.

Your eyes are so beautiful.

"Can I take a photo with you, sir?"

Liang Zhirou was somewhat embarrassed, and she pondered in her mind how to politely refuse.

"Sorry, sir, I'm socially awkward and can't take photos with you," Chen Lu said, standing to the side.

The girl then noticed him and asked, "Who are you?"

He seems quite handsome.

“My boyfriend,” Liang Zhirou said immediately.

Chen Lu was stunned. Had this simpleton already learned to assert his dominance?

"That's nice." The girl nodded gently.

After seeing off the first fan, Chen Lu stepped forward and continued to squeeze Liang Zhirou's hand.

"You've sent out the first one, are you happy?"

Liang Zhirou's eyes crinkled as she smiled faintly, "Happy."

This was the first time she had ever felt such warm kindness.

Lin Miaomiao, who had been slacking off, stared at this scene intently, thinking to herself that even a thousand pieces of gold couldn't buy a smile from a beautiful woman.

Is Liang Zhirou not prettier than that so-called beauty?

What's a little sacrifice if it's to make my best friend happy?

She gritted her teeth and said to Chen Lu, "You stay here and watch the place. I'm going back for a bit."

"what?"

"I'm going back to change my clothes!"

In December, the lowest temperature in Hangzhou is very close to zero degrees Celsius.

There has been a lot of snow lately, both heavy and light.
