Chapter 401 Ten Years

"dad!"

Liang Zhirou finally called out "Dad" after all.

She now has her own little family and new elders.

The world is so big, but finally there is a place where she can settle down and find a place to belong.

"Why!"

Chen Guanglin smiled and agreed, unexpectedly pleased.

Wang Xiaoxia, who was sitting next to him, was already wiping away tears. Seeing that her husband appeared calm but was actually stunned, she quickly patted him twice and said, "Give him a red envelope."

Chen Guanglin then realized what was happening, while Liang Zhirou respectfully accepted it with both hands.

Chen Lu twitched the corners of his mouth, scratched his head, and smiled.

A group of people were sitting there with tears in their eyes, and it seemed a little awkward for him not to cry.

They hadn't planned for the wedding to be a tearful affair, but unexpectedly, Liang Zhirou and her mother were both incredibly sentimental.

However, this "Dad" must have special meaning for this simpleton.

Although Chinese weddings are said to be complicated, the entire wedding process actually only takes about forty minutes, followed by toasting and serving food, which is delicious and enjoyable.

......

Mo Wenbin watched as the bride and groom toasted everyone one by one, a kind smile spreading across his face.

He was already taking Chen Lu out to play when Chen Lu was still running around naked, and he watched Chen Lu grow up with his own eyes.

He's practically half a son.

He chuckled twice, then picked up his phone and took a picture.

Mo Yuqing: Your photography skills are terrible! ...Wait, why does Liang Zhirou seem even prettier now?

Mo Yuqing: Oh no, oh no, from now on I'll write my surname backwards if I stay up all night again.

Mo Wenbin: Well, Yuqing, you're asking someone for a favor and you're already complaining about it.

Mo Yuqing: Hmph.

Mo Wenbin: If you're so curious, why don't you go back to China to see? Your Uncle Chen wouldn't let you come, would he?

Mo Yuqing: Why would I go and upset Liang Zhirou on their wedding day? As long as Chen Lu is doing well, that's enough. Both of them deserve it.

After saying that, she sent another photo.

Mo Yuqing: Dad, isn't this suit handsome? I'll wear it to court later.

Mo Wenbin: He's really handsome. When are you coming back? Let's go skiing up north, it looks like so much fun.

Mo Yuqing: Let me finish this case first, then I'll come back and spend a few days with you.

Mo Wenbin had just put down his phone when he heard Chen Guanglin say to him, "I heard Shiyun is in China recently, why don't you come and meet her?"

"What's there to see?"

"You're both getting on in years. She understands you, and you understand her. Besides, it was all a misunderstanding before. What's wrong with seeing each other?"

Chen Guanglin was more naive and straightforward than ever before.

“What’s past is past. Neither of us can lie to ourselves about the fact that she remarried.” Mo Wenbin sighed softly and smiled at him again. “You’re getting old. You’ve never been this nagging before.”

"I didn't even let the two of you be together. Yuqing has suffered so much because of you two. Shouldn't you make it up to her? Or at least go out with her for a walk together?"

Mo Wenbin was speechless for a moment.

While they were chatting, Chen Lu and Liang Zhirou arrived in front of him.

The two were still wearing their wedding attire, each holding a wine glass.

Chen Lu dared not let Liang Zhirou touch alcohol again, so he poured her plain water beforehand, since no one else could tell.

"This is my Uncle Mo, he watched me grow up," Chen Lu introduced earnestly. He knew that Mo Wenbin was sensible, so he didn't try to hide it.

Liang Zhirou was taken aback for a moment, but still respectfully picked up the wine glass in her hand and said, "Hello, Uncle."

Mo Wenbin smiled and downed a glass of baijiu in one gulp. He then pulled out a thick red envelope from his pocket, ignoring Chen Lu, and stuffed it directly into Liang Zhirou's hand.

"That brat Xiao Lu has been lazy since he was a child, so please bear with him."

"If he dares to bully you, just tell his parents. You can also tell me, and I'll teach him a lesson!"

Liang Zhirou was already stunned, and now her gaze became even more blank.

After toasting, Chen Lu didn't leave immediately. Instead, he grinned and approached Mo Wenbin.

"Uncle, my dad drank all the Moutai you gave me. When are you going to give me a few bottles?"

Mo Wenbin ignored him upon hearing this and said coldly, "You have a large and powerful family now, do you still need to ask me for things?"

“That’s not how it works,” Chen Lu shook his head. “No matter how much I earn, it’s just cold numbers. What you give me has the warmth of family.”

"There isn't a single good person in your Chen family!"

Mo Wenbin was furious. He spat at Chen Guanglin next to him and said to Chen Lu, "Come get it from me when you have time."

As soon as Chen Lu left with his wife, Chen Mo eagerly came over to pour him a drink, saying, "Uncle, calm down. My brother has always been this mean since he was a kid. Let's not stoop to his level."

Chen Mo's tone was incredibly gentle; he was practically ready to give Mo Wenbin a shoulder massage.

Why should I get angry with him?

"I'm still the best, right? I'm very honest." Chen Mo blinked his eyes.

Mo Wenbin nodded repeatedly, "Xiao Mo is still the best."

"Then you should give me a share of what you gave my brother, right?" Chen Mo pouted. "I won't steal your wine, just give me cash!"

"......"

On the other side.

Chen Lu looked around, pondering where to go next—the order of toasting also had its rules, and elders and important people with whom he had a close relationship should definitely be treated first.

As for classmates and friends, we can go over for a drink and chat later; no one will mind.

He suddenly noticed that Professor Yin was sitting at the table with Chen Guanglin's colleagues. Many elderly professors with gray hair were chatting and laughing, while the old man sat there alone, looking extremely aloof. He would only say a few words when someone spoke to him.
