Chen Mo's beautiful fantasy was completely shattered, and he slumped on the table like a withered flower.
This sister-in-law is good in every way, except that she refuses to "go down the same path" with me.
Why waste your precious youth tutoring me instead of spending it on a sweet, romantic relationship with my brother?
At the dinner table, Chen Lu intentionally steered the conversation, which eased Liang Zhirou's tension considerably.
Chen Lu's care was always so quiet and unobtrusive.
After dinner, Liang Zhirou originally planned to wash the dishes, but Wang Xiaoxia took that task from her.
Chen Guanglin followed him into the kitchen, and the two seemed to be talking about something.
"Um, I'd like to see your photo," Liang Zhirou said to Chen Lu, sitting on the sofa, somewhat embarrassed.
After all, childhood photos are probably considered embarrassing for most people, so she didn't have high hopes that Chen Luken would let her see them.
Chen Lu didn't mind, "Go to my room and see."
Curiosity ultimately triumphed over the fear of being a lamb to the slaughter, prompting the girl to nod.
The two then went into Chen Lu's bedroom together.
Liang Zhirou sat obediently on the edge of the bed, watching Chen Lu rummage through drawers and cabinets looking for things.
A short while later, Chen Lu pulled out a slightly yellowed photo album with somewhat worn packaging.
"This is it, my photo album from when I was 100 days old to when I was 12 years old."
Girls seem to be interested in photos of their boyfriends when they were young, and Liang Zhirou seemed to enjoy looking at them.
I was slightly embarrassed when I saw Chen Lu's 100-day-old photo with his bare bottom.
Soon, she saw photos of Chen Lu taken when he was a little older.
The boy with a slight smile in the photo was indeed the one she remembered.
"I was the same height as you back then."
Liang Zhirou said with great pride, a faint joy unconsciously spreading across her face.
Even if Chen Lu wasn't that little boy, she still liked him very much.
However, after feeling a connection with her, she gained a sense of destiny and happiness.
She's a girl too, and although she doesn't deliberately pursue romance, she does appreciate romantic things to some extent.
"A true hero doesn't dwell on past glories, so why don't you talk about the present?"
As Chen Lu tidied the room, he chuckled and made a sarcastic remark to the girl.
Liang Zhirou seemed to want to make up for everything she hadn't witnessed firsthand, tirelessly flipping through the pages from childhood to adulthood.
As she flipped through the photos, the subject of the album suddenly changed from Chen Lu to herself.
This surprised her and touched her.
Chen Lu developed every single photo he took of her and even marked the date on them.
Seeing myself now, dressed in my drama club uniform, standing there shyly with my face turned to the side, evokes mixed feelings.
Back then, I couldn't even laugh, and I never imagined I would become Chen Lu's girlfriend.
It really feels like a dream.
Finally, she found another A4 sheet of paper in the photo album.
It was a sketch. The girl in the drawing was holding a bag, half of her body was getting wet in the rain, as if she was waiting for someone.
She didn't understand art and couldn't tell how well the painting was done, but she thought it was beautiful and recognized the girl as herself.
Liang Zhirou stared blankly at the painting, blinking repeatedly.
She felt that Chen Lu was always like this; their interactions were usually ordinary, but he would occasionally give her a huge surprise, so romantic that she wanted to pack herself up and give herself to him.
Chen Lu, who had just finished tidying up the room, came over and said, "I drew this when I had insomnia."
Liang Zhirou looked up at him. "When?"
"The day you first messaged me saying you wanted to see me."
“You asked that question yourself…” Liang Zhirou muttered softly.
Chen Lu said smugly, "Well, you said it too."
The girl fell silent. She felt like digging a hole and burying herself right after she said it, and now that she knew Chen Lu still remembered, she felt even more embarrassed.
Your face is so red.
Chen Lu moved even closer and grinned mischievously.
"My cheeks have thin skin, and they get a little red when it gets hot."
"Really? I don't believe it. Unless..."
"You want to kiss me?" Liang Zhirou stared at him warily.
"Yes, I think so."
"You just want to..."
Liang Zhirou was completely taken aback, never expecting Chen Lu to be so unabashed.
The girl rolled around on the bed twice, then ran to the other side, buried her face in the sheets, leaving only half of her face and one eye showing as she blinked at him.
Chen Lu smiled, stopped teasing her, and handed the sketch to Liang Zhirou. "Here you go. On a grander scale, this scene marks the beginning of our love."
Anyway, this silly boy is entirely mine, so there's no rush for a day or two.
"I was such a chuunibyou kid." Chen Lu looked at a photo of himself holding a sword when he was a child and gave it a disgusted look.

“After all, you are the Flame Dragon Warrior.” Liang Zhirou replied with a light laugh.
Chen Lu was incredibly embarrassed. "Can you please forget what you just said?"
The girl giggled, "No way!"
"Actually, I feel that Xing Tian is more handsome, but Zi Wang is also good."
Chen Lu muttered to himself.
"Speaking of which, haven't you changed your profile picture yet?"
Liang Zhirou lay on her side on the bed looking at him. "This is really nice. It's the first thing you've ever given me. It's so meaningful."
She cried for a long time after her relative's naughty child broke her clothes.
Chen Lu sat down next to her, pinched her cheek, and asked, "What else is on your mind besides me?"
