Chapter 20 Chapter 20 Conjugated Mistress

Chapter 20 Chapter 20 Conjugated Mistress

After eating until he was 70% full, he still felt a little unsatisfied. He picked up the water cup and wiped his lips with a tissue, pretending to be indifferent. His eyes were still staring at the Buddha Jumps Over the Wall in the middle, with a drooling look on his face.

Damn temptation! She gently lifted her chair back and said, "You guys eat first." Grabbing her handbag, she stood up and walked out. Someone needed to watch over him while he went to the bathroom, so Xie Yifei immediately put down his bowl and chopsticks and followed.

Since the owner was not around, many people relaxed and ate slowly and methodically without pretending to be elegant. Soon the food on the plates disappeared at an alarming rate.

Ares watched the two of them walking together while observing Shan Hao's reaction. This leader who had influence on her had a calm expression and said nothing. She thought he would follow them, but he just continued eating.

He angrily poured a glass of wine into his mouth, but it didn't make him drunk at all. He looked at the closed door. He couldn't possibly ask him to go to the bathroom with him, right?

The person on his left approached him and said, "This is your spirit form," looking him up and down, unafraid of the black mist's breath and baring his teeth. "Hairless Mane-Tailed Lion, are you the famous 'Black Lion'?"

"Yeah." He responded absentmindedly, but the other party asked with great interest.

Walking out of the room, the air turned cooler, and she saw Manuel standing in the corner of the corridor, leaning against the wall, looking out. The emergency light shone on his face, casting a cold hue that matched the color of his pupils.

Just as she was wondering why he had disappeared earlier, she realized he was hiding there. She went over and asked, "Manuel?"

The man turned around and lowered his eyes. She walked towards him worriedly. When she got close to him, as if she had discovered someone alone, she asked caringly, "Why are you here alone? Aren't you going to eat?"

The man shook his head, his voice muffled through the mask, "I'm not hungry."

Her eyes fell on his unusual attire: a long, covered cloth covering the lower half of his face and neck, not an inch of skin exposed. Perhaps he did have something to hide, but out of respect for his privacy, she didn't ask any further.

Since they weren't eating and it would be boring to stay here, she suggested, "Why don't you go back first?" The man's eyes went blank and he blinked, his green irises dotting with scattered radial patterns. "We'll leave later."

It seemed she couldn't persuade him, so she decided to solve her own problem first and walked to the other side of the corridor. At the end of the corridor, the lights blended together, the elevator door opened, and someone arrived. She stopped at the corner and turned to look.

The man in the lead was actually his savior, followed by a group of sentries who hadn't even changed their clothes and looked exhausted. But shouldn't they have dispersed after completing the mission and returned to the dormitory to rest? Why were they running here?

Seeing her back as she left with the others, Manuel lowered his head, clenched his jaw, puffed up his cheeks, closed his eyes, and moved his hand tremblingly upwards, touching the metal ring on the earlobe that was used to fix it.

Feeling the fabric slipping, he heard a cry and pressed down again, squeezing the cartilage until it was deformed. He looked up and saw that her figure had disappeared, and a sense of loss enveloped him.

"Shanshan."

"You're back!"

The sound traveled far away, and even the people in the room heard it because the door was slightly ajar. Seeing that Shan Hao still looked indifferent, Ares could not hold back, stopped talking, interrupted the conversation, pushed the chair away and walked out.

Following behind him were the brothers Laurent and Lawrence.

Some people wanted to follow, and the third man on the left said, "What are you doing? Do you all want to go to the bathroom?" He raised his eyes and then turned away casually, "There aren't so many seats left for you. Hold it in." He stopped the others who were standing up.

They really don't even want to act anymore. Forget about being the captain, but that rough and wild guy is an outsider and it's not convenient to control him. Why can the Bee Brothers go out but they can't? Is this fair and reasonable?

Since I couldn't see it with my own eyes, I could only listen carefully and guess what the conversation was about. The noise at the table suddenly decreased.

She ran towards Xia Guangli excitedly. When they were about a meter apart, she was about to stop, but he grabbed her armpits and held her in the air, spinning her around. Her legs floated and her skirt swung. She laughed and pulled his ear, "Put me down."

This was a habit she'd developed during those three days of the long journey. They were both in a terrible state, desperate to get going. Her spirit carried her, but it flew too fast for her, so she'd touch its ear and ask it to slow down. It was their little secret.

Xia Guangli smiled brightly, politely put her down, and patted the top of her head. He looked her over carefully. Apart from the muddy soles of her shoes and her sunburned face, she couldn't really be seen as someone who had just returned from outside.

The slim fit outlines the waist, the style is simple, revealing the white and slender calves and the delicate and smooth instep, making her look petite and delicate, with slightly messy hair. "Our Shanshan is so beautiful."

"Oh, you guy." She felt a little embarrassed by the compliment, puffed up her cheeks and wanted to pat him twice, but with so many people following behind her, she felt it was not a good idea and stopped.

"You're finally back. The last time I came to see you, you weren't there." She pouted and complained, with the ending tone rising and elongated, revealing her spoiled and willful side.

Xia Guangli apologized profusely, asked her to forgive him, and said, "I won't do it again."

"Hmph," Ares snorted, and a long, slanted shadow appeared in front of him. He looked up and saw Manuel. He heard the voice, walked out, and took in the interaction between the two.

The "Bird Team" has always been like this. Since that time, they have been dressed up. Manuel looked down at the broken slippers, as if every meeting with her was unexpected, unprepared, and looked embarrassed.

Long-serving sentries guarding the isolation underground, in the dimly lit environment, rarely saw outsiders and didn't need to dress up. Some of these young men, their skulls still closed, looked a bit immature. He hadn't been up there for a long time, and he didn't know what had become of the Canine Wing.

The man pulled out a feather-shaped pinky ring from the wide pocket of his coat. It was inlaid with colorful gems and embellished with a green jadeite in the middle. It looked dreamy and lively. He reached out and held her palm, holding it to his chest. Regardless of her refusal, he passed it through her finger bones and put it on above her wrist joint. It was dazzling and eye-catching. This was the gift he had prepared.

The ring was very special, and it felt hot where my finger touched it. I pulled my hand back as if I had received an electric shock and tried to take it off, but the man said, "Will you accept my apology?"

She opened her mouth. It was so strange. Did she need to use such a grand gift as an apology? Before she could say anything, Xie Yifei walked up and greeted her, "Thank you for your hard work."

"It's not hard," Xia Guangli replied, bending down to tidy up her hair, and speaking softly, "I'm back now. You can come whenever you want in the future."

It's too late for me to come now. She crossed her arms and said proudly, "I'm busy. I don't have time to see you."

"Then please, Shanshan, spare some time to come and see me, okay?"

Seeing him acting pitiful, she hesitated. After all, she was reluctant to give in, and she almost relented after hearing his pleading.

Xie Yifei's mouth drooped and his eyes left the ring. She was reserved and polite in front of him. He didn't expect that they were so familiar with each other, and she was a completely different person in front of him.

When he wasn't smiling, he looked less gentle. "You just got back. If you haven't eaten yet, we're having a dinner party. Want to join us?"

"Okay," he looked down, "how about you?"

She waved her hand, "I've eaten," pointing to the bathroom, "You guys eat now."

After saying that, she walked to the wall, while Xia Guangli led the team members inside. Indeed, all the members returned safely in one piece. As the crowd passed by, one person was left alone at the end of the team.

"It's right there." Xie Yifei pointed to a road. He was indifferent. It was Song Xiaoyu who rushed into the meeting room that night. He heard people mentioned him and he had conflicts with many people.

"You go ahead," Song Xiaoyu refused. "Captain Jie Yifei," he said, looking at the woman entering through the door curtain, "I'll guard it."

The man's face was swollen, and there were scars on his eye sockets. Almost a week had passed, and the wounds hadn't healed yet, which showed how hard he had hit him. He saw four people standing at the corner, three of whom had grudges against him. They agreed, "Okay, be careful."

The four men at the corner came over one after another. The Bee Brothers stood together, Ares and Manuel were closer, and Song Xiaoyu put his hands in his pockets, leaned against the wall, glanced at them, and looked up at the ceiling, not wanting to pay any attention.

The four of them formed a triangle, like enemies meeting, their eyes blazing with envy. Seeing him like this, Manuel couldn't help but laugh softly.

He is not a clay man, and Manuel thinks he is not qualified. Then, this person who provoked him and was defeated by him, is he standing here and intending to please her with such a face?

The desire to destroy arose out of jealousy, but the other party was arrogant and didn't look at him directly, as if she didn't take him seriously. She was determined to wait for the guide to come out and find a chance to talk to her.

The wound was burning, and phantom pain spread to every inch of his skin. Why? Was it because he had been too gentle, leaving him with illusions?

Seeing the prison guard staring at his face and smiling, Song Xiaoyu's anger gradually ignited. No sentry doesn't care about their appearance, and birds are even more careful about their feathers. Do you think you're so powerful just because you won once?

He was clearly a rat in the gutter, but no one knew how he managed to get next to her, and he was still showing off here.

His disguise was fragile, and he really wanted to expose his true face and let the guide see what kind of violent, ugly, dark and terrifying person he was. He tried hard to control his evil thoughts and turned around to see the "lion" in front of him again.

As soon as he opened his mouth, the owner of the spirit body cursed, "Shut up." Song Xiaoyu's mouth curled up, and he looked at the Bee Brothers with a sarcastic expression on his face. These four people are very good.

Ares was annoyed with him. The reason was different from his dislike for Manuel. There was no hatred between the two of them. He was simply implicated. Giving her a ring and physical contact? Jealousy seeped into his heart, and he was about to fall over. He hadn't even touched her!

It was rare to see him get humiliated, and before it was his turn to fight, Lawrence's resentment dissipated a little, but he still couldn't let go of the identity replacement. "I advise you not to humiliate yourself."

Rolling his eyes in intolerance, Song Xiaoyu looked directly at her, "She chose me, little bee."

"I should sting your mouth."

"You can try, I will step you into the mud. Aren't bugs supposed to hide underground?" He shot at three people with one sentence.

"See you at the next exercise." Hearing this, he shrugged nonchalantly.

Laurent: "She won't remember you." This sentence hit him hard, and his body froze. "We can bet that she has forgotten your name."

Song Xiaoyu: "Shut your mouth." He was hit on the heart, glaring at her, his brows cold and cold, "I'll make her remember."

"Really?" Manuel asked doubtfully, "If that person comes back, will she still need you to train with her?"

It was self-evident who the person in question was. Song Xiaoyu was always one step behind others. He gritted his teeth and looked at them with hatred, pretending to be strong and refusing to admit defeat. "Maybe she likes me this way?"

Ares: "Narcissistic idiot."

"If you can't even control your spirit, aren't you afraid it might suddenly go crazy and attack the guide? You're a madman and a mad cat."

"Heh," Ares straightened his back and clacked his fists. "I see your face isn't quite symmetrical. Let me help you."

In the compartment next to it, the water pipe seemed to be broken, one of it was leaking with intermittent sounds, and the ventilation valve on the ceiling was running all the time, continuously supplying fresh air.

She squatted on the toilet, making a hissing sound, as if she had drunk too much water, so it had no color. She peeed for a long time, then finished, wiped herself clean, lifted her panties, lowered the hem of her skirt, checked the lining, took her handbag off the hook with one hand, and pressed the flush button with the other. After thinking about it, she lifted the toilet seat and put everything back to its original state.

I thought it would be scary if the boss got angry, but it was actually okay.

No, something felt wrong again. She lifted her skirt and sat back down. But when she sat down, the feeling disappeared again. She stood up, came back, sat down again, and it disappeared again. A bunch of question marks seemed to pop up in her head. What was going on? Was it an illusion?

Finally, she couldn't stand it anymore and walked out of the cubicle. She went to the sink, stretched out her hands, let the water rush into her palms, rubbed them clean, and put them next to the hair dryer to dry. She couldn't let others wait too long. More than ten minutes had passed. After checking in the mirror, a kaleidoscope of brilliant colors suddenly appeared on the glass.

Her heart raced, it must be an illusion. She closed her eyes, opened them again, and it kept spinning, her vision becoming distorted. She stepped back, her heartbeat quickening, her breathing accelerating, until she leaned against the wall, pursed her lips nervously, and shivered.

Suddenly, she felt an itch on her leg. She let out a short, startled cry, swung her leg hard, and jumped to the side. Looking down, she saw a mushroom! From underneath grew long, thin, spider-web-like white mycelium, hopping toward her at a speed so fast that her heart stopped beating.

"Don't come over here." She threatened in a low voice and slowly backed away, but the other party seemed not to hear her and continued jumping around.

“No…Ahhhhh!!!”

A loud scream of fear erupted from the bathroom, echoing throughout the entire floor.

The people guarding outside looked stern and rushed in without caring about the quarrel. In the room, chopsticks fell, and the sentries rushed out of the narrow door and ran to the toilet as fast as possible. Soon, they had surrounded the place.

Shan Hao's heart almost jumped into his throat. He ran to the front row and pushed the two people apart. "What's wrong?!"
